યહૂદિઓએ બૂમ પાડી, “તેને દૂર લઈ જાઓ! તેને દૂર લઈ જાઓ! તેને વધસ્તંભ પર જડો!”પિલાતે યહૂદિઓને પૂછયું, “શું તમે ઈચ્છો છો કે હું તમારા રાજાને વધસ્તંભે જડાવું?”મુખ્ય યાજકોએ ઉત્તર આપ્યો, “અમારો રાજા ફક્ત કૈસર છે.”
