જ્યારે મુખ્ય યાજકો અને યહૂદિ ચોકીદારોએ ઈસુને જોયો તેઓએ બૂમ પાડી, “વધસ્તંભ પર તેને જડો! વધસ્તંભ પર તેને જડો!”પરંતુ પિલાતે ઉત્તર આપ્યો, “તમે તેને લઈ જાઓ અને તેને તમારી જાતે વધસ્તંભે જડો. મને એનામાં તેની સામે આક્ષેપ મૂકવા કોઈ ગુનો જડ્યો નથી.”

When the chief priests therefore and officers saw him, they cried out, saying, Crucify him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Take ye him, and crucify him: for I find no fault in him.

When therefore the chief priests and the officers saw him, they cried out, saying, Crucify `him', crucify `him'! Pilate saith unto them, Take him yourselves, and crucify him: for I find no crime in him.
