તો મેં તમને જે ભૂમિ આપી છે તેમાંથી તમને ઉખેડી નાખીશ અને મને અર્પણ કરેલા આ મંદિરનો હું ત્યાગ કરીશ અને આ જગ્યામાં કાંઇક ખરાબ બન્યું હતું તેના માટે આ મંદિરને હું પ્રસિદ્ધ કરીશ.

જેવી રીતે છોડની કુંમળી દાંડી નદીમાં ઝોલાં ખાય છે તેવી જ રીતે યહોવા ઇસ્રાએલ પર પ્રહાર કરશે. યહોવા ઇસ્રાએલીઓને તેણે તેના પિતૃઓને આપેલા દેશમાંથી જડમૂળથી ઉખેડી નાખશે. અને નદીને પેલે પાર તેઓને વિખેરી નાખશે, કારણ કે અશેરીમનો સ્તંભ બનાવી તેઓએ યહોવાને કોપાયમાંન કર્યા છે.
