Matthew 9 - DBY (Gujarati)

1 And going on board the ship, he passed over and came to his own city.ઈસુ હોડીમાં બેઠો અને સરોવરને પેલે પાર ગયો અને પોતાના શહેરમાં આવ્યો.

2 And behold, they brought to him a paralytic, laid upon a bed; and Jesus, seeing their faith, said to the paralytic, Be of good courage, child; thy sins are forgiven.કેટલાએક લોકો પથારીવશ પક્ષઘાતી માણસને ઈસુ પાસે લાવ્યા. ઈસુએ જોયું કે તેઓને વિશ્વાસ છે તેથી ઈસુએ તે પક્ષઘાતી માણસને કહ્યું, “હે યુવાન માણસ, હિમ્મત રાખ. સુખી થા. તારાં બધાંજ પાપ માફ કરવામાં આવે છે.”

3 And behold, certain of the scribes said to themselves, This [man] blasphemes.કેટલાએક શાસ્ત્રીઓએ આ સાંભળ્યું અને અંદરો અંદર વાતો કરવા લાગ્યા કે, “આ માણસ પોતે જ દેવ હોય તેમ બોલે છે. આ રીતે તે દેવની વિરૂદ્ધ બોલે છે.”

4 And Jesus, seeing their thoughts, said, Why do *ye* think evil things in your hearts?ઈસુએ જાણ્યું કે તેઓ શું વિચારે છે તેથી ઈસુએ કહ્યું, “તમે તમારા મનમાં આવા ભૂંડા વિચારો શા માટે કરો છો?”

5 For which is easier: to say, Thy sins are forgiven; or to say, Rise up and walk?માણસના દીકરાને પૃથ્વી પર પાપ માફ કરવાનો અધિકાર છે. પણ આ તમારી આગળ કેવી રીતે સાબિત કરી શકું? તમે એમ ધારતા હશો કે, ‘તારાં પાપ માફ થયાં છે.’ એમ કહેવું સહેલું છે, પણ ખરેખર એમ થયું તે કોઈ જોઈ શક્તું નથી.

6 But that ye may know that the Son of man has power on earth to forgive sins, (then he says to the paralytic,) Rise up, take up thy bed and go to thy house.પણ જો હું એ માણસને એમ કહું, ‘ઊઠ, તારી પથારી લઈને ચાલતો થા,’ તો શું? તો તમે જોઈ શકશો કે ખરેખર મને અધિકાર છે.” તેથી ઈસુએ પક્ષઘાતી માણસને કહ્યું, “ઊભો થા, તારી પથારી ઉપાડ અને તારે ઘેર જા.”

7 And he rose up and went to his house.અને તે માણસ ઉભો થયો અને ઘેર ચાલ્યો ગયો.

8 But the crowds seeing [it], were in fear, and glorified God who gave such power to men.લોકોએ આ જોયું અને તેઓ આશ્ચર્યચકિત થઈ ગયા અને લોકોએ દેવની સ્તુતિ કરી કારણ કે દેવે આવો અધિકાર માણસોને આપ્યો.

9 And Jesus, passing on thence, saw a man sitting at the tax-office, called Matthew, and says to him, Follow me. And he rose up and followed him.ઈસુ તે રસ્તે થઈને જતો હતો ત્યારે, તેણે કર ઉઘરાવવાની ઓફિસમાં માથ્થી નામના માણસને જોયો. ઈસુએ તેને કહ્યું, “મારી પાછળ ચાલ.” અને માથ્થી ઊભો થયો અને ઈસુને અનુસર્યો.

10 And it came to pass, as he lay at table in the house, that behold, many tax-gatherers and sinners came and lay at table with Jesus and his disciples.ઈસુએ માથ્થીના ઘરે તેના શિષ્યો સાથે ભોજન લીધું. ત્યારે ત્યાં કર ઉઘરાવનારા અને પાપીઓ પણ જમતા હતાં.

11 And the Pharisees seeing [it], said to his disciples, Why does your teacher eat with tax-gatherers and sinners?ફરોશીઓએ ઈસુને આવા માણસો સાથે ખાતાં જોયો તેથી તેના શિષ્યોને કહ્યું કે, “તમારો ઉપદેશક કર ઉઘરાવનારા તથા પાપીઓ સાથે શા માટે ભોજન લે છે?”

12 But [Jesus] hearing it, said, They that are strong have not need of a physician, but those that are ill.ઈસુએ આ સાંભળીને કહ્યું, “જેઓ તંદુરસ્ત છે તેમને વૈદની જરૂર નથી. જેઓ બિમાર છે તેમને વૈદની જરૂર છે.

13 But go and learn what [that] is -- I will have mercy and not sacrifice; for I have not come to call righteous [men] but sinners.ઈસુએ કહ્યું, “તમે શાસ્ત્રનો અર્થ સમજો; ‘હું પશુઓના બલિદાન નથી ઈચ્છતો, હું દયા ઈચ્છું છું,’ હું સારા લોકોને આમંત્રણ આપવા નથી આવ્યો પણ પાપીઓને તેડવા આવ્યો છું.”

14 Then come to him the disciples of John, saying, Why do we and the Pharisees often fast, but thy disciples fast not?પછી યોહાનના શિષ્યો ઈસુની પાસે આવ્યા. તેઓએ ઈસુને પૂછયું કે, “અમે અને ફરોશીઓ વારંવાર ઉપવાસ કરીએ છીએ તો તારા શિષ્યો શા માટે ઉપવાસ કરતા નથી?”

15 And Jesus said to them, Can the sons of the bridechamber mourn so long as the bridegroom is with them? But days will come when the bridegroom will have been taken away from them, and then they will fast.ઈસુએ ઉત્તર આપ્યો, “જ્યાં સુધી તેમની સાથે વરરાજા હોય ત્યાં સુધી વરરાજાના મિત્રો પાસે ઉદાસીનતાની અપેક્ષા રાખી શકાય? અલબત્ત નહિ જ, પરંતુ જ્યારે તેઓની પાસેથી વરરાજા લઈ લેવાશે ત્યારે સમય આવશે પછી તેઓ ઉપવાસ કરશે.

16 But no one puts a patch of new cloth on an old garment, for its filling up takes from the garment and a worse rent takes place.“જો કોઈ જૂનાં કપડાં પર કોરા કપડાંનું થીંગડું મારે તો એ થીંગડાંથી કપડાંમાં કાણું વધારે મોટુ બનશે.

17 Nor do men put new wine into old skins, otherwise the skins burst and the wine is poured out, and the skins will be destroyed; but they put new wine into new skins, and both are preserved together.લોકો તાજો દ્રાક્ષારસ ભરવા માટે જૂની મશકોનો ઉપયોગ નથી કરતાં તેમ કરવાથી જૂની મશકો ફાટી જશે, ત્યાર પછી દ્રાક્ષારસ વહીજશે અને બંને દ્રાક્ષારસ અને દ્રાક્ષારસની મશકો નાશ પામશે. તેથી લોકો હંમેશા નવો દ્રાક્ષારસ ભરવા માટે નવી જ મશકોનો ઉપયોગ કરે છે. આમ કરવાથી દ્રાક્ષારસ અને મશકો બંને સારી રીતે સાચવી શકાય છે.”

18 As he spoke these things to them, behold, a ruler coming in did homage to him, saying, My daughter has by this died; but come and lay thy hand upon her and she shall live.ઈસુ જ્યારે આ વાતો કહતો હતો, ત્યારે સભાસ્થાનનો એક અધિકારી આવ્યો અને તેને પગે પડ્યો અને કહ્યું કે, “મારી દીકરી હમણાં જ મરણ પામી છે. તું આવીને માત્ર તારા હાથથી તેને સ્પર્શ કર તો તે સજીવન થશે.”

19 And Jesus rose up and followed him, and [so did] his disciples.તેથી ઈસુ ઊભો થયો અને તેને ઘેર ગયો. તેના શિષ્યો તેની પાછળ ગયાં.

20 And behold, a woman, who had had a bloody flux [for] twelve years, came behind and touched the hem of his garment;એક સ્ત્રી હતી, જે છેલ્લા બાર વર્ષથી લોહીવાના રોગથી પીડાતી હતી તેણે પાછળથી આવીને ઈસુના ઝભ્ભાની નીચલી કોરને સ્પર્શ કર્યો.

21 for she said within herself, If I should only touch his garment I shall be healed.સ્ત્રી વિચારતી હતી કે, “જો હું માત્ર તેના ઝભ્ભાને સ્પર્શ કરીશ તો હું સાજી થઈ જઈશ.”

22 But Jesus turning and seeing her, said, Be of good courage, daughter; thy faith has healed thee. And the woman was healed from that hour.ઈસુ તેની તરફ વળ્યો અને તે સ્ત્રીને જોઈ કહ્યું, “દીકરી હિંમ્મત રાખ, તારા વિશ્વાસે તને સાજી કરી છે.” તે જ પળે તે સ્ત્રી સાજી થઈ ગઈ.

23 And when Jesus was come to the house of the ruler, and saw the flute-players and the crowd making a tumult,ઈસુ અધિકારીની સાથે તેના ઘેર આવી પહોચ્યો અને ઘરમાં ગયો ત્યારે તેણે વાંસળી વગાડનારાઓને અને ઘણા લોકોનેદન કરતા જોયા.

24 he said, Withdraw, for the damsel is not dead, but sleeps. And they derided him.ઈસુએ કહ્યું, “આઘા ખસો, કારણ કે છોકરી મરણ નથી પામી. તે ઊંધે છે.” આ સાંભળી લોકો તેના તરફ હસવા લાગ્યા.

25 But when the crowd had been put out, he went in and took her hand; and the damsel rose up.લોકોનું ટોળું ઘરની બહાર ગયું. ઈસુ છોકરીના ઓરડામાં ગયો. ઈસુએ છોકરીનો હાથ પકડ્યો અને તે છોકરી ઉભી થઈ.

26 And the fame of it went out into all that land.આ સમાચાર આજુબાજુના સમગ્ર વિસ્તારમાં પ્રસરી ગયા.

27 And as Jesus passed on thence, two blind [men] followed him, crying and saying, Have mercy on us, Son of David.જ્યારે ઈસુ ત્યાંથી જતો હતો ત્યારે બે આંધળા માણસો તેની પાછળ પાછળ ગયા. તેઓ જોરથી બૂમ પાડવા લાગ્યા. “ઓ દાઉદના દીકરા, અમારા પર દયા કર.”

28 And when he was come to the house, the blind [men] came to him. And Jesus says to them, Do ye believe that I am able to do this? They say to him, Yea, Lord.ઈસુ અંદર ઘરમાં ગયો, ત્યાં તેઓ પણ તેની પાછળ ગયા. ઈસુએ તેમને પૂછયું, “હું તમને ફરીથી દેખતા કરી શકું એવો વિશ્વાસ છે?” આંધળા માણસોએ ઉત્તર આપ્યો કે, “હા પ્રભુ, અમે વિશ્વાસ કરીએ છીએ.”

29 Then he touched their eyes, saying, According to your faith, be it unto you.પછી તેઓની આંખોને સ્પર્શ કરી ઈસુ બોલ્યો, “તમે વિશ્વાસ રાખો છો તો તે પ્રમાણે થાઓ.”

30 And their eyes were opened; and Jesus charged them sharply, saying, See, let no man know it.અને તરત જ તેઓ દેખતા થયા. ઈસુએ તેઓને કહ્યું, “તમે આ વિષે કોઈને વાત ન કરતા.”

31 But they, when they were gone out, spread his name abroad in all that land.પરંતુ આંધળા માણસો ત્યાંથી ચાલ્યા ગયા અને ઈસુની આ કીર્તિ તેઓએ આખા વિસ્તારમાં ફેલાવી.

32 But as these were going out, behold, they brought to him a dumb man possessed by a demon.આગળ જતાં લોકો ઈસુની પાસે બીજા એક માણસને લઈને આવ્યા, આ માણસને અશુદ્ધ આત્મા વળગેલો હતો. તે મૂંગો હતો.

33 And the demon having been cast out, the dumb spake. And the crowds were astonished, saying, It has never been seen thus in Israel.ઈસુએ અશુદ્ધ આત્માને હાંકી કાઢ્યો કે તરત જ તે મૂંગો માણસ બોલતો થયો, લોકો આશ્ચર્યચકિત થઈ ગયા અને બોલ્યા: “અગાઉ ઈસ્રાએલમાં આવું કદાપિ જોવામાં આવ્યું નથી.”

34 But the Pharisees said, He casts out the demons through the prince of the demons.પરંતુ ફરોશીઓએ કહ્યું, “તે (ઈસુ) અશુદ્ધ આત્માના સરદાર (શેતાન) થી જ અશુદ્ધ આત્માઓને કાઢે છે.”

35 And Jesus went round all the cities and the villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the glad tidings of the kingdom, and healing every disease and every bodily weakness.ઈસુએ તે વિસ્તારના તમામ શહેરો અને ગામડાઓમાં જઈને યહૂદિ સભાસ્થાનોમાં દેવના રાજ્ય વિષેની સુવાર્તા આપી. અને જે લોકો બધાજ પ્રકારના રોગો અને માંદગીથી પીડાતા હતા તેમને સાજા કર્યા.

36 But when he saw the crowds he was moved with compassion for them, because they were harassed, and cast away as sheep not having a shepherd.ઈસુએ ઘણા લોકોને જોયા અને તેઓ પર તેને કરૂણા ઉપજી કારણ કે તેઓ થાકેલા અને અસહાય હતા. તેઓ પાળક વિનાના ઘેટાં જેવા હતા.

37 Then saith he to his disciples, The harvest [is] great and the workmen [are] few;ઈસુએ પોતાના શિષ્યોને કહ્યું કે, “માણસોરૂપી પાક (બચાવ) પુષ્કળ છે. પણ મજૂરો ઓછા છે.

38 supplicate therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he send forth workmen unto his harvest.તેથી પાકના (લોકો) ધણીને પ્રાર્થના કરો કે કાપણી કરવા વધારે મજૂરો મોકલી આપે.”
