Hosea 8:14
ઇસ્રાએલના લોકો પોતાના સર્જનહારને ભૂલી ગયા છે અને એમણે મંદિરો ચણાવ્યઁા છે. યહૂદાના લોકોએ અનેક કિલ્લેબંદી નગરો બંધાવ્યાં છે. પરંતુ હું એમનાં નગરો ઉપર અગ્નિ વરસાવીશ. અને તે એમના કિલ્લાઓને ભસ્મીભૂત કરી નાખશે.”

| temples; | הֵֽיכָל֔וֹת | hêkālôt | hay-ha-LOTE |
| and Judah | וִֽיהוּדָ֕ה | wîhûdâ | vee-hoo-DA |
| hath multiplied | הִרְבָּ֖ה | hirbâ | heer-BA |
| fenced | עָרִ֣ים | ʿārîm | ah-REEM |
| cities: | בְּצֻר֑וֹת | bĕṣurôt | beh-tsoo-ROTE |
| send will I but | וְשִׁלַּחְתִּי | wĕšillaḥtî | veh-shee-lahk-TEE |
| a fire | אֵ֣שׁ | ʾēš | aysh |
| upon his cities, | בְּעָרָ֔יו | bĕʿārāyw | beh-ah-RAV |
| devour shall it and | וְאָכְלָ֖ה | wĕʾoklâ | veh-oke-LA |
| the palaces | אַרְמְנֹתֶֽיהָ׃ | ʾarmĕnōtêhā | ar-meh-noh-TAY-ha |
