Hebrews 2
5 નવી દુનિયા જે આવી રહી હતી તેના ઉપર શાસન કરવા દેવે દૂતોને પસંદ કર્યા નહિ. આપણે જે ભવિષ્યની દુનિયાની વાત કરીએ છીએ તે આ દુનિયા છે.
6 તેમાં કોઈક જગાએ શાસ્ત્રોમાં લખ્યું છે કે, “હે દેવ તું માણસોની શા માટે દરકાર કરે છે? મનુષ્ય પુત્રની પણ શા માટે દરકાર કરે છે? શું તે એટલો બધો અગત્યનો છે?
7 થોડા સમય માટે તેં તેને દૂતો કરતાં ઊતરતો ગણ્યો છે. તેં તેને ગૌરવ તથા માનનો મુગટ આપ્યો છે. અને તારા હાથનાં કામ પર તેને અધિકાર આપ્યો છે.
8 સમગ્ર સૃષ્ટિ તેં તેના પગ તળે મૂકી છે.” ગીતશાસ્ત્ર 8:4-6તેં તેના પગ તળે સઘળું મૂક્યું છે. તો સઘળું તેને સ્વાધીન કરવાથી તેને સ્વાધીન ન કર્યું હોય તેવું તેણે કશુંય રહેવા દીધું નથી. પણ સઘળું તેને સ્વાધીન કર્યું, એમ હજુ સુધી આપણી દષ્ટિએ દેખાતું નથી.
9 થોડા સમય માટે ઈસુને દૂતો કરતાં ઊતરતો બનાવ્યો હતો, પણ હવે આપણે તેને મહિમા અને માનનો મુગટ પહેરેલો જોઈએ છીએ કારણ કે તેણે મરણનું દુ:ખ સહન કર્યું અને દેવની દયાથી મરણનો અનુભવ સમગ્ર માનવજાત માટે કર્યો હતો.
10 દેવે સર્વસ્વ બનાવ્યું છે. અને તે પોતાના મહિમાને અર્થે બનાવ્યું છે. આ મહિમામાં ઘણા લોકો ભાગ લે તેવું દેવ ઇચ્છતો હતો. તેથી દેવને એક (ઈસુ) પરિપૂર્ણ તારનાર બનાવવો પડ્યો જે ઘણા લોકોને તેમના તારણ તરફ દોરી જાય છે. અને તે ઘણાને તે મુક્તિમાર્ગે દોરી ગયો. દેવે તે કર્યું.
11 જે એક (ઈસુ) લોકોને પવિત્ર બનાવે છે અને જે લોકો પવિત્ર બનાવાયા છે તે એક જ પરિવારના છે. એટલે તે (ઈસુ) તેઓને પોતાના ભાઈઓ અને બહેનો કહેતાં જરાપણ શરમ અનુભવતો નથી.
12 ઈસુ કહે છે. “હે દેવ, હું મારા ભાઈઓ અને બહેનોને તારા વિષે કહીશ. તારા સર્વ લોકો આગળ હું તારાં સ્તોત્રો ગાઇશ.” ગીતશાસ્ત્ર 22:22
13 તે એમ પણ કહે છે, “હું દેવ પર ભરોસો રાખીશ” યશાયા 8:17 અને તે કહે છે, “દેવે મને આપેલા બાળકો અને હું અહીંયા છીએ.” યશાયા 8:18
14 તે માણસો માંસ અને લોહીનાં બનેલા માનવ દેહ ધરાવે છે. તેથી ઈસુએ પણ માનવદેહમાં જન્મ લીધો, તેથી કરીને તે મરણ સહન કરીને, દુ:ખો સહીને તે શેતાનનો નાશ કરી શકે.
15 ઈસુ લોકો જેવો થયો અને મરણ પામ્યો અને જીવનપર્યત મરણના ભયને લીધે દાસ જેવી દશામાં જીવતા મનુષ્યોને છુટકારો અપાવી શકે.
16 એ સ્પષ્ટ છે કે ઈસુ દૂતોને નહિ, પરંતુ મનુષ્યો જે ઇબ્રાહિમનાંસંતાનો છે તેમને મદદ કરે છે.
17 આ કારણે ઈસુ ખ્રિસ્ત પોતાના ભાઈઓ અને બહેનોમાં બધા બાબતોમાં સમાન બને એ જરુંરી હતું, એ માટે તે આપણા પ્રત્યે સહાનુભૂતિ દર્શાવે એવો દયાળુ અને આપણા લોકોના પાપનું પ્રાયશ્ચિત કરીને દેવ સમક્ષ સજા ભોગવે એવો વિશ્વાસુ પ્રમુખ યાજક થાય.
5 For unto the angels hath he not put in subjection the world to come, whereof we speak.
6 But one in a certain place testified, saying, What is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man, that thou visitest him?
7 Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands:
8 Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him.
9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.
10 For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.
11 For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,
12 Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee.
13 And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given me.
14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
16 For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.
17 Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.

Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him.

10 દેવે સર્વસ્વ બનાવ્યું છે. અને તે પોતાના મહિમાને અર્થે બનાવ્યું છે. આ મહિમામાં ઘણા લોકો ભાગ લે તેવું દેવ ઇચ્છતો હતો. તેથી દેવને એક (ઈસુ) પરિપૂર્ણ તારનાર બનાવવો પડ્યો જે ઘણા લોકોને તેમના તારણ તરફ દોરી જાય છે. અને તે ઘણાને તે મુક્તિમાર્ગે દોરી ગયો. દેવે તે કર્યું.
For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.
11 જે એક (ઈસુ) લોકોને પવિત્ર બનાવે છે અને જે લોકો પવિત્ર બનાવાયા છે તે એક જ પરિવારના છે. એટલે તે (ઈસુ) તેઓને પોતાના ભાઈઓ અને બહેનો કહેતાં જરાપણ શરમ અનુભવતો નથી.
For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,
12 ઈસુ કહે છે. “હે દેવ, હું મારા ભાઈઓ અને બહેનોને તારા વિષે કહીશ. તારા સર્વ લોકો આગળ હું તારાં સ્તોત્રો ગાઇશ.” ગીતશાસ્ત્ર 22:22
Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee.
13 તે એમ પણ કહે છે, “હું દેવ પર ભરોસો રાખીશ” યશાયા 8:17 અને તે કહે છે, “દેવે મને આપેલા બાળકો અને હું અહીંયા છીએ.” યશાયા 8:18

Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
15 ઈસુ લોકો જેવો થયો અને મરણ પામ્યો અને જીવનપર્યત મરણના ભયને લીધે દાસ જેવી દશામાં જીવતા મનુષ્યોને છુટકારો અપાવી શકે.
And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
16 એ સ્પષ્ટ છે કે ઈસુ દૂતોને નહિ, પરંતુ મનુષ્યો જે ઇબ્રાહિમનાંસંતાનો છે તેમને મદદ કરે છે.
For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.
17 આ કારણે ઈસુ ખ્રિસ્ત પોતાના ભાઈઓ અને બહેનોમાં બધા બાબતોમાં સમાન બને એ જરુંરી હતું, એ માટે તે આપણા પ્રત્યે સહાનુભૂતિ દર્શાવે એવો દયાળુ અને આપણા લોકોના પાપનું પ્રાયશ્ચિત કરીને દેવ સમક્ષ સજા ભોગવે એવો વિશ્વાસુ પ્રમુખ યાજક થાય.
Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.
