હવે યરીખો નગરના કેટલાક આગેવાનો એલિશાને મળવા આવ્યા, તેઓએ તેમને કહ્યું, “ધણી, આપ જોઈ શકો છો કે અમાંરું શહેર કેવું રમણીય છે! પણ અહીંનું પાણી સારું નથી અને દેશમાં સ્ત્રીઓને કસુવાવડ થઈ જાય છે.”

પચાસ પ્રબોધકો તેમની પાછળ પાછળ ગયા. જ્યારે તેઓ યર્દન નદી પાસે ઊભા રહ્યા, ત્યારે પ્રબોધકો તેમનાથી અંતર રાખીને દૂર ઉભા રહ્યાં.
