ત્યાં તેણે રાજાને પ્રવેશદ્વાર આગળ મંચ ઉપર ઊભેલો જોયો. તેની પાસે લશ્કરી અધિકારીઓ અને રણશિંગડાં વગાડનારાઓ ઊભા હતા. દેશનાં દરેક ભાગોમાંથી આવેલા લોકો આનંદ કરીને રણશિંગડાં વગાડતા હતા. ગાયકો વાજિંત્રો સાથે ગીતો ગાઇને દેવની સ્તુતિ કરતાં હતાં. અથાલ્યાએ પોતાનાં વસ્ત્રો ફાડ્યાં અને તેણે મોટે સાદે બૂમ પાડી, “રાજદ્રોહ, રાજદ્રોહ!”
