உம்மைக் கொன்றுபோடும்படிக்கு, அம்மோன் புத்திரரின் ராஜாவாகிய பாலிஸ் என்பவன், நெத்தானியாவின் குமாரனாகிய இஸ்மவேலை அனுப்பினானென்பதை நீர் அறியவில்லையோ என்றார்கள்' ஆனாலும் அகிக்காமின் குமாரனாகிய கெதலியா அவர்கள் வார்த்தையை நம்பவில்லை.

யோகனானும் அவனோடிருந்த அதிகாரிகளும் கெதலியாவிடம் சொன்னார்கள். “அம்மோனிய ஜனங்களின் அரசனான பாலிஸ் உன்னைக் கொல்ல விரும்புகிறான் என்பது உனக்குத் தெரியுமா? அவன் நெத்தானியாவின் மகனான இஸ்மவேலை அனுப்பியிருக்கிறான்.” ஆனால் அகிக்காமின் மகனான கெதலியா அவர்களை நம்பவில்லை.
