நான் என் வெட்கத்தோடே எங்கே போவேன்? நீயும் இஸ்ரவேலிலே மதிகெட்டவர்களில் ஒருவனைப்போல ஆவாய்; இப்போதும் நீ ராஜாவோடே பேசு, அவர் என்னை உனக்குத் தராமல் மறுக்கமாட்டார் என்றாள்.

நான் எனக்கு நேரும் அவமானத்திலிருந்து ஒருபோதும் மீளமுடியாது. நீ ஒரு பயங்கர குற்றவாளி என்று ஜனங்கள் கவனிப்பார்கள். தயவுசெய்து, அரசனோடு பேசு. என்னை நீ மணம் செய்துக்கொள்ள அவர் அனுமதியளிப்பார்” என்றாள்.

and as for thee, וְאַתָּ֗ה ʾattâ ah-TA
thou shalt be תִּֽהְיֶ֛ה hāyâ ha-YA
as one כְּאַחַ֥ד ʾeḥād eh-HAHD
of the fools הַנְּבָלִ֖ים nābāl na-VAHL
in Israel. בְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל yiśrāʾēl yees-ra-ALE
Now וְעַתָּה֙ ʿattâ ah-TA
speak דַּבֶּר dābar da-VAHR
therefore, I pray thee, נָ֣א nāʾ na
unto אֶל ʾēl ale
the king; הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ melek meh-LEK
for כִּ֛י kî kee
he will not לֹ֥א lōʾ loh
withhold יִמְנָעֵ֖נִי mānaʿ ma-NA
