ஆகாஸ் அசீரியாவின் ராஜாவாகிய திகிலாத்பிலேசரிடத்திற்கு ஸ்தானாபதிகளை அனுப்பி: நான் உம்முடைய அடியானும் உம்முடைய குமாரனுமாயிருக்கிறேன்; நீர் வந்து, எனக்கு விரோதமாயெழும்பின சீரியா ராஜாவின் கைக்கும், இஸ்ரவேல் ராஜாவின் கைக்கும் என்னை நீங்கலாக்கிவிடும் என்று சொல்லச்சொல்லி;

ஆகாஸ் அசீரியாவின் அரசனான திகிலாத்பிலேசரிடம் தூதுவனை அனுப்பினான். “நான் உங்கள் சேவகன். நான் உங்களுக்கு மகனைப் போன்றவன். என்னை ஆராம் அரசனிடமிருந்தும் இஸ்ரவேல் அரசனிடமிருந்தும் வந்து காப்பாற்றுங்கள். அவர்கள் என்னோடு போர் செய்ய வருகிறார்கள்!” என்று தூதுவிட்டான்.
