1 தாவீது கீசின் குமாரனாகிய சவுலினிமித்தம் இன்னும் மறைவாயிருக்கையில், சிக்லாகிலிருக்கிற அவனிடத்திற்கு வந்து, Now these are they that came to David to Ziklag, while he yet kept himself close because of Saul the son of Kish: and they were among the mighty men, helpers of the war.

2 யுத்தத்திற்கு ஒத்தாசை செய்த வில்வீரரும், கவண்கல் எறிகிறதற்கும் வில்லினால் அம்பு எய்கிறதற்கும் வலது இடது கைவாட்டமான பராக்கிரமசாலிகளான மற்ற மனுஷருமாவன: சவுலின் சகோதரராகிய பென்யமீன் கோத்திரத்தில், They were armed with bows, and could use both the right hand and the left in hurling stones and shooting arrows out of a bow, even of Saul's brethren of Benjamin.

4 முப்பதுபேரில் பராக்கிரமனும் முப்பதுபேருக்குப் பெரியவனுமான இஸ்மாயா என்னும் கிபியோனியனும், எரேமியா, யகாசியேல், யோகனான், கெதேரூரானான யோசபாத், And Ismaiah the Gibeonite, a mighty man among the thirty, and over the thirty; and Jeremiah, and Jahaziel, and Johanan, and Josabad the Gederathite,

5 எலுசாயி, எரிமோத், பிகலியா, அரியா, அருப்பியனான செப்பத்தியா, Eluzai, and Jerimoth, and Bealiah, and Shemariah, and Shephatiah the Haruphite,

6 எல்க்கானா, எஷியா, அசாரியேல், யொவேசேர், யசொபெயாம் என்னும் கோரேகியரும், Elkanah, and Jesiah, and Azareel, and Joezer, and Jashobeam, the Korhites,

7 யொவேலா, செபதியா என்னும் கேதோர் ஊரானான ஏரோகாமின் குமாரருமே. And Joelah, and Zebadiah, the sons of Jeroham of Gedor.

8 காத்தியரில் பரிசையும் ஈட்டியும் பிடித்து, சிங்கமுகம் போன்ற முகமும், மலைகளிலிருக்கிற வெளிமான் வேகம்போன்ற வேகமுமுள்ளவர்களாயிருந்து, யுத்தசேவகரான பராக்கிரமசாலிகள் சிலரும் வனாந்தரத்திலுள்ள அரணான இடத்தில் இருக்கிற தாவீது பட்சமாய்ச் சேர்ந்தார்கள். And of the Gadites there separated themselves unto David into the hold to the wilderness men of might, and men of war fit for the battle, that could handle shield and buckler, whose faces were like the faces of lions, and were as swift as the roes upon the mountains;

9 யாரென்றால், எத்சேர் என்னும் தலைவன், அவனுக்கு இரண்டாவது ஒபதியா; மூன்றாவது எலியாப், Ezer the first, Obadiah the second, Eliab the third,

10 நாலாவது மிஸ்மன்னா, ஐந்தாவது எரேமியா, Mishmannah the fourth, Jeremiah the fifth,

11 ஆறாவது அத்தாயி, ஏழாவது எலியேல், Attai the sixth, Eliel the seventh,

12 எட்டாவது யோகனான், ஒன்பதாவது எல்சபாத், Johanan the eighth, Elzabad the ninth,

13 பத்தாவது எரேமியா, பதினோரவது மக்பன்னாயி; Jeremiah the tenth, Machbanai the eleventh.

15 யோர்தான் கரைபுரண்டுபோயிருக்கிற முதலாம் மாதத்தில் அதைக் கடந்து, கிழக்கேயும் மேற்கேயும் பள்ளத்தாக்குகளில் இருக்கிற யாவரையும் துரத்திவிட்டவர்கள் இவர்களே. These are they that went over Jordan in the first month, when it had overflown all his banks; and they put to flight all them of the valleys, both toward the east, and toward the west.

16 பின்னும் பென்யமீன் புத்திரரிலும் யூதாபுத்திரரிலும் சிலர் அரணான ஸ்தலத்தில் இருக்கிற தாவீதினிடத்தில் வந்தார்கள். And there came of the children of Benjamin and Judah to the hold unto David.

17 தாவீது புறப்பட்டு, அவர்களுக்கு எதிர்கொண்டுபோய், அவர்களுக்கு உத்தரவுகொடுத்து: நீங்கள் எனக்கு உதவிசெய்ய சமாதானமாய் என்னிடத்தில் வந்தீர்களானால், என் இருதயம் உங்களோடு இசைந்திருக்கும்; என் கைகளில் கொடுமை இல்லாதிருக்க, என்னை என் சத்துருக்களுக்குக் காட்டிக்கொடுக்க வந்தீர்களேயாகில், நம்முடைய பிதாக்களின் தேவன் அதைப் பார்த்துக் கண்டிப்பாராக என்றான். And David went out to meet them, and answered and said unto them, If ye be come peaceably unto me to help me, mine heart shall be knit unto you: but if ye be come to betray me to mine enemies, seeing there is no wrong in mine hands, the God of our fathers look thereon, and rebuke it.

Then the spirit came upon Amasai, who was chief of the captains, and he said, Thine are we, David, and on thy side, thou son of Jesse: peace, peace be unto thee, and peace be to thine helpers; for thy God helpeth thee. Then David received them, and made them captains of the band.

And there fell some of Manasseh to David, when he came with the Philistines against Saul to battle: but they helped them not: for the lords of the Philistines upon advisement sent him away, saying, He will fall to his master Saul to the jeopardy of our heads.

22 அக்காலத்திலே நாளுக்குநாள் தாவீதுக்கு உதவிசெய்யும் மனுஷர் அவனிடத்தில் வந்து சேர்ந்தபடியால், அவர்கள் தேவசேனையைப்போல மகா சேனையானார்கள். For at that time day by day there came to David to help him, until it was a great host, like the host of God.

24 யூதாபுத்திரரில் பரிசையும் ஈட்டியும் பிடித்து, யுத்தசன்னத்தரானவர்கள் ஆறாயிரத்து எண்ணூறுபேர். The children of Judah that bare shield and spear were six thousand and eight hundred, ready armed to the war.

25 சிமியோன் புத்திரரில் பராக்கிரமசாலிகளாகிய யுத்தவீரர் ஏழாயிரத்து நூறுபேர். Of the children of Simeon, mighty men of valor for the war, seven thousand and one hundred.

26 லேவி புத்திரரில் நாலாயிரத்து அறுநூறுபேர். Of the children of Levi four thousand and six hundred.

27 ஆரோன் சந்ததியாரின் அதிபதியாகிய யோயதாவும், அவனோடிருந்த மூவாயிரத்து; எழுநூறுபேரும், And Jehoiada was the leader of the Aaronites, and with him were three thousand and seven hundred;

28 பராக்கிரமசாலியான சாதோக் என்னும் வாலிபனும், அவன் தகப்பன் வம்சத்தாரான இருபத்திரண்டு தலைவருமே. And Zadok, a young man mighty of valor, and of his father's house twenty and two captains.

29 பென்யமீன் புத்திரரான சவுலின் சகோதரரில் மூவாயிரம்பேர்; அதுவரைக்கும் அவர்களில் மிச்சமானவர்கள் சவுலின் குடும்பத்தைக் காப்பாற்றப் பார்த்தார்கள். And of the children of Benjamin, the kindred of Saul, three thousand: for hitherto the greatest part of them had kept the ward of the house of Saul.

30 எப்பிராயீம் புத்திரரில் தங்கள் பிதாக்களின் வம்சத்தில் பேர் பெற்ற மனுஷரான பராக்கிரமசாலிகள் இருபதினாயிரத்து எண்ணூறுபேர். And of the children of Ephraim twenty thousand and eight hundred, mighty men of valor, famous throughout the house of their fathers.

31 மனாசேயின் பாதிக்கோத்திரத்தில் தாவீதை ராஜாவாக்குகிறதற்கு வரும்படி, பேர்பேராகக் குறிக்கப்பட்டவர்கள் பதினெண்ணாயிரம்பேர். And of the half tribe of Manasseh eighteen thousand, which were expressed by name, to come and make David king.

And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their commandment.

33 செபுலோன் புத்திரரில் சகலவித யுத்த ஆயுதங்களாலும் யுத்தம் செய்கிறதற்கும், தங்கள் அணியைக் காத்துநிற்கிறதற்கும் பழகி, வஞ்சனைசெய்யாமல் யுத்தத்திற்குப் போகத்தக்கவர்கள் ஐம்பதினாயிரம்பேர். Of Zebulun, such as went forth to battle, expert in war, with all instruments of war, fifty thousand, which could keep rank: they were not of double heart.

34 நப்தலி புத்திரரில் ஆயிரம் தலைவர்கள் பரிசையும் ஈட்டியும் பிடித்த அவர்களோடேகூட இருந்தவர்கள் முப்பத்தேழாயிரம்பேர். And of Naphtali a thousand captains, and with them with shield and spear thirty and seven thousand.

35 தாண் புத்திரரில் யுத்தத்திற்குத் தேறினவர்கள் இருபத்து எண்ணாயிரத்து அறுநூறுபேர். And of the Danites expert in war twenty and eight thousand and six hundred.

36 ஆசேர் புத்திரரில் யுத்தத்திற்குத் தேறினவர்களாய் சேவகம்பண்ணப்போகத்தக்கவர்கள் நாற்பதினாயிரம்பேர். And of Asher, such as went forth to battle, expert in war, forty thousand.

37 யோர்தானுக்கு அக்கரையான ரூபனியரிலும், காத்தியரிலும், மனாசேயின் பாதிக்கோத்திரத்தாரிலும், யுத்தம்பண்ண சகலவித ஆயுதங்களையும் தரித்தவர்கள் நூற்றிருபதினாயிரம்பேர். And on the other side of Jordan, of the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and of the half tribe of Manasseh, with all manner of instruments of war for the battle, an hundred and twenty thousand.

38 தாவீதை இஸ்ரவேலின்மேல் ராஜாவாக்குகிறதற்கு, இந்த யுத்தமனுஷர் எல்லாரும் அணி அணியாய் வைக்கப்பட்டவர்களாக, உத்தம இருதயத்தோடே எப்ரோனுக்கு வந்தார்கள்; இஸ்ரவேலில் மற்ற யாவரும் தாவீதை ராஜாவாக்குகிறதற்கு ஒருமனப்பட்டிருந்தார்கள். All these men of war, that could keep rank, came with a perfect heart to Hebron, to make David king over all Israel: and all the rest also of Israel were of one heart to make David king.

40 இசக்கார், செபுலோன், நப்தலியின் எல்லைமட்டும் அவர்களுக்குச் சமீபமாயிருந்தவர்களும், கழுதைகள்மேலும் ஒட்டகங்கள்மேலும் கோவேறு கழுதைகள்மேலும் மாடுகள்மேலும், தின்பண்டங்களாகிய மா, அத்திப்பழ அடைகள், வற்றலான திராட்சப்பழங்கள், திராட்சரசம், எண்ணெய் ஆடுமாடுகள் ஆகிய இவைகளை வேண்டிய மட்டும் ஏற்றிக்கொண்டுவந்தார்கள்; இஸ்ரவேலிலே மகிழ்ச்சியுண்டாயிற்று. Moreover they that were nigh them, even unto Issachar and Zebulun and Naphtali, brought bread on asses, and on camels, and on mules, and on oxen, and meat, meal, cakes of figs, and bunches of raisins, and wine, and oil, and oxen, and sheep abundantly: for there was joy in Israel.

3 Kipaeyaa ooraanaakiya semaavin kumaarar akiyaesar ennum thalaivanum, yovaasum, asmaavaeththin kumaararaakiya esiyaelum, paelaeththum, peraakkaa, aanathoththiyanaana aekoo enpavarkalum, The chief was Ahiezer, then Joash, the sons of Shemaah the Gibeathite; and Jeziel, and Pelet, the sons of Azmaveth; and Berachah, and Jehu the Antothite.

4 Muppathupaeril paraakkiramanum muppathupaerukkup periyavanumaana ismaayaa ennum kipiyoniyanum, eraemiyaa, yakaasiyael, yokanaan, kethaerooraanaana yosapaath, And Ismaiah the Gibeonite, a mighty man among the thirty, and over the thirty; and Jeremiah, and Jahaziel, and Johanan, and Josabad the Gederathite,

5 Elusaayi, erimoth, pikaliyaa, ariyaa, aruppiyanaana seppaththiyaa, Eluzai, and Jerimoth, and Bealiah, and Shemariah, and Shephatiah the Haruphite,

6 Elkkaanaa, eshiyaa, asaariyael, yovaeser, yasopeyaam ennum koraekiyarum, Elkanah, and Jesiah, and Azareel, and Joezer, and Jashobeam, the Korhites,

7 Yovaelaa, sepathiyaa ennum kaethor ooraanaana aerokaamin kumaararumae. And Joelah, and Zebadiah, the sons of Jeroham of Gedor.

8 Kaaththiyaril parisaiyum eettiyum pitiththu, singamukam ponta mukamum, malaikalilirukkira velimaan vaekamponta vaekamumullavarkalaayirunthu, yuththasevakaraana paraakkiramasaalikal silarum vanaantharaththilulla arannaana idaththil irukkira David patchamaaych sernthaarkal. And of the Gadites there separated themselves unto David into the hold to the wilderness men of might, and men of war fit for the battle, that could handle shield and buckler, whose faces were like the faces of lions, and were as swift as the roes upon the mountains;

9 Yaarental, ethser ennum thalaivan, avanukku iranndaavathu opathiyaa; moontavathu eliyaap, Ezer the first, Obadiah the second, Eliab the third,

10 Naalaavathu mismannaa, ainthaavathu eraemiyaa, Mishmannah the fourth, Jeremiah the fifth,

11 Aaraavathu aththaayi, aelaavathu eliyael, Attai the sixth, Eliel the seventh,

12 Ettavathu yokanaan, onpathaavathu elsapaath, Johanan the eighth, Elzabad the ninth,

13 Paththaavathu eraemiyaa, pathinoravathu makpannaayi; Jeremiah the tenth, Machbanai the eleventh.

14 Kaath puththiraraana ivarkal iraanuvaththalaivaraayirunthaarkal; avarkalil siriyavan nooraுpaerukkum periyavan aayirampaerukkum servaikkaararaayirunthaarkal. These were of the sons of Gad, captains of the host: one of the least was over an hundred, and the greatest over a thousand.

15 Yorthaan karaipuranndupoyirukkira muthalaam maathaththil athaik kadanthu, kilakkaeyum maerkaeyum pallaththaakkukalil irukkira yaavaraiyum thuraththivittavarkal ivarkalae. 16 Pinnum penyameen puththirarilum yoothaapuththirarilum silar arannaana sthalaththil irukkira thaaveethinidaththil vanthaarkal. And there came of the children of Benjamin and Judah to the hold unto David.

17 David purappattu, avarkalukku ethirkonndupoy, avarkalukku uththaravukoduththu: neengal enakku uthaviseyya samaathaanamaay ennidaththil vantheerkalaanaal, en iruthayam ungalodu isainthirukkum; en kaikalil kodumai illaathirukka, ennai en saththurukkalukkuk kaattikkodukka vantheerkalaeyaakil, nammutaiya pithaakkalin Dhevan athaip paarththuk kanntippaaraaka entan. And David went out to meet them, and answered and said unto them, If ye be come peaceably unto me to help me, mine heart shall be knit unto you: but if ye be come to betray me to mine enemies, seeing there is no wrong in mine hands, the God of our fathers look thereon, and rebuke it.

18 Appoluthu athipathikalukkuth thalaivanaana amaasaayinmael aavi iranginathinaal, avan: thaaveethae, naangal ummutaiyavarkal; eesaayin kumaaranae umathu patchamaayiruppom; umakkuch samaathaanam, samaathaanam; umakku uthaviseykiravarkalukkum samaathaanam; ummutaiya Dhevan umakkuth thunnai nirkiraar entan; appoluthu David avarkalaich serththukkonndu, avarkalaith thanndukkuth thalaivaraakkinaan. Then the spirit came upon Amasai, who was chief of the captains, and he said, Thine are we, David, and on thy side, thou son of Jesse: peace, peace be unto thee, and peace be to thine helpers; for thy God helpeth thee. Then David received them, and made them captains of the band.

19 Savulinmael yuththampannnappokira pelistharudanaekoodath David varukirapothu, manaaseyilum silar avan patchamaaych sernthaarkal; pelistharin pirapukkal yosanaipannnni, avan nammutaiya thalaikalukku mosamaayth than aanndavanaakiya savulin patchamaayp povaan entu avanai anuppivittarkal: athanaal avarkal ivarkalukku uthaviseyyavillai. And there fell some of Manasseh to David, when he came with the Philistines against Saul to battle: but they helped them not: for the lords of the Philistines upon advisement sent him away, saying, He will fall to his master Saul to the jeopardy of our heads.

20 Appatiyae avan siklaakukkuth thirumpippokaiyil, manaaseyil athnaak, yosapaath, ethiyaavael, mikaayael, yosapaath, elikoo, silththaayi ennum manaase koththiraththaarin aayiraththuch servaikkaarar avan patchamaay vanthaarkal. As he went to Ziklag, there fell to him of Manasseh, Adnah, and Jozabad, and Jediael, and Michael, and Jozabad, and Elihu, and Zilthai, captains of the thousands that were of Manasseh.

21 Anthath thanndukku virothamaay ivarkal Davidkku uthaviseythaarkal; ivarkalellaarum paraakkiramasaalikalum iraanuvaththil servaikkaararumaayirunthaarkal. And they helped David against the band of the rovers: for they were all mighty men of valor, and were captains in the host.

22 Akkaalaththilae naalukkunaal Davidkku uthaviseyyum manushar avanidaththil vanthu sernthapatiyaal, avarkal thaevasenaiyaippola makaa senaiyaanaarkal. For at that time day by day there came to David to help him, until it was a great host, like the host of God.

23 Karththarutaiya vaakkinpatiyae, savulin raajyapaaraththaith thaaveethinidamaayth thiruppa, epronilirukkira avanidaththukku vantha yuththa sannaththaraana thalaivarin ilakkamaavana: And these are the numbers of the bands that were ready armed to the war, and came to David to Hebron, to turn the kingdom of Saul to him, according to the word of the LORD.

24 Yoothaapuththiraril parisaiyum eettiyum pitiththu, yuththasannaththaraanavarkal aaraayiraththu ennnnooraுpaer. The children of Judah that bare shield and spear were six thousand and eight hundred, ready armed to the war.

25 Simiyon puththiraril paraakkiramasaalikalaakiya yuththaveerar aelaayiraththu nooraுpaer. Of the children of Simeon, mighty men of valor for the war, seven thousand and one hundred.

26 Laevi puththiraril naalaayiraththu araுnooraுpaer. Of the children of Levi four thousand and six hundred.

27 Aaron santhathiyaarin athipathiyaakiya yoyathaavum, avanotiruntha moovaayiraththu; elunooraுpaerum, And Jehoiada was the leader of the Aaronites, and with him were three thousand and seven hundred;

28 Paraakkiramasaaliyaana saathok ennum vaalipanum, avan thakappan vamsaththaaraana irupaththiranndu thalaivarumae. And Zadok, a young man mighty of valor, and of his father's house twenty and two captains.

29 Penyameen puththiraraana savulin sakothararil moovaayirampaer; athuvaraikkum avarkalil michchamaanavarkal savulin kudumpaththaik kaappaattap paarththaarkal.
