যীশু পিছন ফিরে সেই দুজনকে অনুসরণ করতে দেখে, তাঁদের জিজ্ঞেস করলেন, ‘তোমরা কি চাও?’তাঁরা যীশুকে বললেন, ‘রব্বি, আপনি কোথায় থাকেন?’ (‘রব্বি’ কথাটির অর্থ ‘গুরু৷’)
