Ephesians 2
11 তোমরা অইহুদী, পরজাতিরূপে জন্মেছিলে৷ তোমরাই সেই লোক যাদের সুন্নত ইহুদীরা বলে ‘অসুন্নত’৷ তাদের সুন্নত হওয়া কেবল এক প্রক্রিয়া, যা দেহের ওপর মানুষের হাত দ্বারা করা হয়৷
12 মনে রেখো অতীতে সেই সময় তোমরা খ্রীষ্ট থেকে দূরে ছিলে৷ তোমরা ইস্রায়েলের নাগরিক ছিলে না৷ ঈশ্বর তাঁর প্রজাদের সঙ্গে য়ে চুক্তিগুলি করেছিলেন, তোমরা সেইসব প্রতিশ্রুতিযুক্ত চুক্তিগুলির বাইরে ছিলে৷ তোমাদের প্রত্যাশা ছিল না আর তোমরা ঈশ্বরকে জানতে না৷
13 এক সময় তোমরা ঈশ্বর থেকে বহুদূরে ছিলে; কিন্তু এখন খ্রীষ্ট যীশুতে তোমরা নিকটবর্তী হয়েছ৷
14 খ্রীষ্টই আমাদের শান্তির উত্স৷ ইহুদী ও অইহুদীদের মধ্যে য়ে শত্রুভাব প্রাচীরের মত ব্যবধান সৃষ্টি করেছিল, খ্রীষ্ট নিজ দেহ উত্সর্গ করে ঘৃণা ও ব্যবধানের সেই প্রাচীর ভেঙ্গে দিয়েছেন৷
15 ইহুদীদের বিধি-ব্যবস্থায় অনেক আদেশ নিয়মকানুন ছিল; কিন্তু খ্রীষ্ট সেই বিধি-ব্যবস্থা লোপ করেছেন৷ খ্রীষ্টের উদ্দেশ্য ছিল ঐ দুই দলের মধ্যে শান্তি স্থাপন করা এবং নিজের মধ্যে দিয়ে ঐ দুই দল থেকে এক নতুন মানুষ সৃষ্টি করা,
16 এবং ক্রুশের ওপর তাঁর মৃত্যুর মাধ্যমে দুই জনগোষ্ঠীকে ঈশ্বরের সাথে একই দেহে পুনর্মিলিত করা৷ এর ফলে দুই দলের মধ্যে য়ে শত্রুভাব ছিল, তার অবসান ঘটল৷
17 তাই খ্রীষ্টে এসে তোমরা যাঁরা ঈশ্বর থেকে দূরে ছিলে, তোমাদের কাছে শান্তির বাণী প্রচার করলেন; আর যাঁরা ঈশ্বরের কাছের লোক তাদের কাছে শান্তি নিয়ে এলেন৷
18 হ্যাঁ, খ্রীষ্টের মাধ্যমে আমরা সকলে একই আত্মার দ্বারা পিতার কাছে আসতে পারি৷
19 তাই, হে অইহুদীরা, এখন তোমরা আর আগন্তুক বা বিদেশী নও৷ এখন ঈশ্বরের পবিত্র লোকদের সঙ্গে তোমরাও নাগরিক৷ তোমরা ঈশ্বরের পরিবারের সদস্য৷
20 প্রেরিতরা ও ভাববাদীরা য়ে ভিত গেঁথেছিলেন তার ওপর তোমাদের গেঁথে তোলা হচ্ছে৷ খ্রীষ্ট স্বয়ং হচ্ছেন সেই দালানের গাঁথনীর প্রধান পাথর,
21 যা গোটা দালানটিকে ধরে রেখেছে৷ খ্রীষ্ট এই দালানটি গড়ে তোলেন য়েন তা প্রভুতে এক পবিত্র মন্দিরে পরিণত হতে পারে৷
11 Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;
12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:
13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.
14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;
15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;
16 And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:
17 And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.
18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.
19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;
20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;
21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:

14 খ্রীষ্টই আমাদের শান্তির উত্স৷ ইহুদী ও অইহুদীদের মধ্যে য়ে শত্রুভাব প্রাচীরের মত ব্যবধান সৃষ্টি করেছিল, খ্রীষ্ট নিজ দেহ উত্সর্গ করে ঘৃণা ও ব্যবধানের সেই প্রাচীর ভেঙ্গে দিয়েছেন৷
For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;
15 ইহুদীদের বিধি-ব্যবস্থায় অনেক আদেশ নিয়মকানুন ছিল; কিন্তু খ্রীষ্ট সেই বিধি-ব্যবস্থা লোপ করেছেন৷ খ্রীষ্টের উদ্দেশ্য ছিল ঐ দুই দলের মধ্যে শান্তি স্থাপন করা এবং নিজের মধ্যে দিয়ে ঐ দুই দল থেকে এক নতুন মানুষ সৃষ্টি করা,
Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;
16 এবং ক্রুশের ওপর তাঁর মৃত্যুর মাধ্যমে দুই জনগোষ্ঠীকে ঈশ্বরের সাথে একই দেহে পুনর্মিলিত করা৷ এর ফলে দুই দলের মধ্যে য়ে শত্রুভাব ছিল, তার অবসান ঘটল৷
And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:
17 তাই খ্রীষ্টে এসে তোমরা যাঁরা ঈশ্বর থেকে দূরে ছিলে, তোমাদের কাছে শান্তির বাণী প্রচার করলেন; আর যাঁরা ঈশ্বরের কাছের লোক তাদের কাছে শান্তি নিয়ে এলেন৷
And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.
18 হ্যাঁ, খ্রীষ্টের মাধ্যমে আমরা সকলে একই আত্মার দ্বারা পিতার কাছে আসতে পারি৷
For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.
19 তাই, হে অইহুদীরা, এখন তোমরা আর আগন্তুক বা বিদেশী নও৷ এখন ঈশ্বরের পবিত্র লোকদের সঙ্গে তোমরাও নাগরিক৷ তোমরা ঈশ্বরের পরিবারের সদস্য৷

20 প্রেরিতরা ও ভাববাদীরা য়ে ভিত গেঁথেছিলেন তার ওপর তোমাদের গেঁথে তোলা হচ্ছে৷ খ্রীষ্ট স্বয়ং হচ্ছেন সেই দালানের গাঁথনীর প্রধান পাথর,
And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;
21 যা গোটা দালানটিকে ধরে রেখেছে৷ খ্রীষ্ট এই দালানটি গড়ে তোলেন য়েন তা প্রভুতে এক পবিত্র মন্দিরে পরিণত হতে পারে৷
In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:
