முற்காலத்தில் நீங்கள் அந்தகாரமாயிருந்தீர்கள், இப்பொழுதோ கர்த்தருக்குள் வெளிச்சமாயிருக்கிறீர்கள்; வெளிச்சத்தின் பிள்ளைகளாய் நடந்துகொள்ளுங்கள்.

இவைகளை உணரத்தக்க ஞானமுள்ளவன் யார்? இவைகளைக் கிரகிக்கத்தக்க புத்தியுள்ளவன் யார்? கர்த்தருடைய வழிகள் செம்மையானவைகள், நீதிமான்கள் அவைகளில் நடப்பார்கள்; பாதகரோவென்றால் அவைகளில் இடறிவிழுவார்கள்.

சத்தியவேதம் அவன் வாயிலிருந்தது; அவனுடைய உதடுகளில் அநியாயம் காணப்படவில்லை; அவன் என்னோடே சமாதானமும் யதார்த்தமுமாய்ச் சஞ்சரித்து, அநேகரை அக்கிரமத்தினின்று திருப்பினான்.

இப்படி அவர்கள் சுவிசேஷத்தின் சத்தியத்திற்கேற்றபடி சரியாய் நடவாததை நான் கண்டபோது, எல்லாருக்கும் முன்பாக நான் பேதுருவை நோக்கிச்சொன்னது என்னவென்றால்: யூதனாயிருக்கிற நீர் யூதர் முறைமையாக நடவாமல், புறஜாதியார் முறைமையாக நடந்துகொண்டிருக்க, புறஜாதியாரை யூதர்முறைமையாக நடக்கும்படி நீர் எப்படிக்கட்டாயம் பண்ணலாம்?

கிறிஸ்து நமக்காகத் தம்மை தேவனுக்குச் சுகந்த வாசனையான காணிக்கையாகவும் பலியாகவும் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்து நம்மில் அன்புகூர்ந்ததுபோல, நீங்களும் அன்பிலே நடந்துகொள்ளுங்கள்.

என்னை விசாரிப்பதற்கு நீங்கள் இப்பொழுது மறுபடியும் மனமலர்ந்தபடியினாலே கர்த்தருக்குள் மிகவும் சந்தோஷப்பட்டேன்; இப்படிச் செய்ய எண்ணங்கொண்டிருந்தீர்கள், சமயம்மாத்திரம் உங்களுக்கு நேரிடவில்லை.

எங்களுக்கு நம்பிக்கையும் சந்தோஷமும் மகிழ்ச்சியின் கிரீடமுமாயிருப்பவர்கள் யார்? நம்முடைய கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்து வரும்போது அவருடைய சந்நிதானத்திலே நீங்களல்லவா அப்படியிருப்பீர்கள்;
