அதற்குப்பின்பு நான் யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய சிதேக்கியாவையும், அவன் ஊழியக்காரரையும், ஜனத்தையும், இந்த நகரத்திலே கொள்ளைநோய்க்கும் பட்டயத்துக்கும் பஞ்சத்துக்கும் தப்பி மீதியானவர்களையும் பாபிலோன் ராஜாவாகிய நேபுகாத்நேச்சாருடைய கையிலும், அவர்கள் சத்துருக்களின் கையிலும், அவர்கள் பிராணனை வாங்கத் தேடுகிறவர்களின் கையிலும் ஒப்புக்கொடுப்பேன்; அவன் அவர்களைப் பட்டயக் கருக்கினால் வெட்டுவான்; அவன் அவர்களைத் தப்பவிடுவதுமில்லை, அவன் மன்னிப்பதுமில்லை, இரங்குவதுமில்லையென்று கர்த்தர் உரைக்கிறார் என்றான்.

அது நிகழ்ந்த பிறகு, நான் யூதாவின் அரசனான சிதேக்கியாவைப் பாபிலோனின் அரசனான நேபுகாத்நேச்சாரிடம் கொடுப்பேன். நான் சிதேக்கியாவின் அதிகாரிகளையும் நேபுகாத்நேச்சாரிடம் கொடுப்பேன். எருசலேமில் உள்ள சில ஜனங்கள் பயங்கரமான நோயால் மரிக்கமாட்டார்கள். சில ஜனங்கள் வாளால் கொல்லப்படமாட்டார்கள். சிலர் பசியால் மரிக்கமாட்டார்கள். ஆனால் நான் அந்த ஜனங்களை நேபுகாத்நேச்சாரிடம் கொடுப்பேன். நான் யூதாவின் பகைவர்களை வெல்லவிடுவேன். நேபுகாத்நேச்சாரின் படை யூதாவின் ஜனங்களைக் கொல்ல விரும்புகிறது. எனவே, யூதாவின் ஜனங்களும் எருசலேமின் ஜனங்களும் வாளால் கொல்லப்படுவார்கள். நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் எவ்வித இரக்கமும் காட்டமாட்டான். அவன் அந்த ஜனங்களுக்காக வருத்தப்படமாட்டான்.’”
