எலிசா தன் வீட்டில் உட்கார்ந்திருந்தான்; மூப்பரும் அவனோடு உட்கார்ந்திருந்தார்கள். அப்பொழுது ராஜா: ஒரு மனுஷனைத் தனக்கு முன்னே அனுப்பினான்; இந்த ஆள் எலிசாவினிடத்துக்கு வருமுன்னே, அவன் அந்த மூப்பரை நோக்கி: என் தலையை வாங்க, அந்தக் கொலைபாதகனுடைய மகன் ஆள் அனுப்பினான்; பார்த்தீர்களா? அந்த ஆள் வரும்போது, நீங்கள் அவனை உள்ளே வரவொட்டாமல் கதவைப் பூட்டிப்போடுங்கள்; அவனுக்குப் பின்னாக அவன் ஆண்டவனுடைய காலின் சத்தம் கேட்கிறது அல்லவா என்றான்.

எலிசாவிடம் அரசன் ஒரு தூதுவனை அனுப்பினான். எலிசா தன் வீட்டில் சில மூப்பர்களோடு இருந்தான். தூதுவன் வருமுன் அவன் (எலிசா), “கொலைக்காரனின் மகன் (இஸ்ரவேல் அரசன்) என் தலையை வெட்ட ஆட்களை அனுப்பியுள்ளான்! தூதுவன் வருகிறபோது கதவுகளை அடையுங்கள்! அவனுக்கு எதிராக வேகமாகப் பிடியுங்கள்! அவனை உள்ளே விடாதீர்கள்! அவனுக்குப் பின்னால் அவனது எஜமானின் காலடி சத்தம் கேட்கிறது!” என்றான்.

Appoluthu raajaa: oru manushanaith thanakku munnae anuppinaan; intha aal elisaavinidaththukku varumunnae, avan antha moopparai Nnokki: en thalaiyai vaanga, anthak kolaipaathakanutaiya makan aal anuppinaan; paarththeerkalaa? Antha aal varumpothu, neengal avanai ullae varavottamal kathavaip poottippodungal; avanukkup pinnaaka avan aanndavanutaiya kaalin saththam kaetkirathu allavaa entan.
