அதற்கு நாகமான் கடுங்கோபங்கொண்டு, புறப்பட்டுப்போய்: அவன் வெளியே வந்து நின்று, தன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருடைய நாமத்தைத் தொழுது, தன் கையினால் அந்த இடத்தைத் தடவி, இவ்விதமாய்க் குஷ்டரோகத்தை நீக்கிவிடுவான் என்று எனக்குள் நினைத்திருந்தேன்.

நாகமான் மிகவும் கோபப்பட்டு வெளியேறினான். அவன், “அவர் (எலிசா) வெளியே வந்து என் முன்னால் நிற்பார். அவரது தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருடைய நாமத்தைக் கூறுவார். எனது உடல் மீது தனது கைகளை அசைத்து நோயைக் குணப்படுத்துவார் என்று நினைத்தேன்.

எனவே, நாமான் சினமுற்று வெளியேறினார். அப்பொழுது அவர், “அவர் என்னிடம் வந்து, என் அருகில் நின்று, தம் கடவுளாகிய ஆண்டவரின் பெயரைக் கூவியழைத்து, தொழுநோய் கண்ட இடத்தின்மேல் தம் கையை அசைத்துக் குணப்படுத்துவார் என்று நான் எண்ணியிருந்தேன்.

Atharku naakamaan kadungaோpangaொnndu, purappattuppoy: avan veliyae vanthu nintu, than thaevanaakiya karththarutaiya naamaththaith tholuthu, than kaiyinaal antha idaththaith thadavi, ivvithamaayk kushdarokaththai neekkividuvaan entu enakkul ninaiththirunthaen.

and went away, וַיֵּלַ֑ךְ hālak ha-LAHK
and said, וַיֹּאמֶר֩ ʾāmar ah-MAHR
Behold, הִנֵּ֨ה hinnē hee-NAY
I thought, אָמַ֜רְתִּי ʾāmar ah-MAHR
to אֵלַ֣י׀ ʾēl ale
He will surely יֵצֵ֣א yāṣāʾ ya-TSA
come out יָצ֗וֹא yāṣāʾ ya-TSA
me, and stand, וְעָמַד֙ ʿāmad ah-MAHD
and call וְקָרָא֙ qārāʾ ka-RA
on the name בְּשֵׁם šēm shame
of the Lord יְהוָ֣ה yĕhōwâ yeh-hoh-VA
his God, אֱלֹהָ֔יו ʾĕlōhîm ay-loh-HEEM
and strike וְהֵנִ֥יף nûp noof
his hand יָד֛וֹ yād yahd
over אֶל ʾēl ale
the place, הַמָּק֖וֹם māqôm ma-KOME
and recover וְאָסַ֥ף ʾāsap ah-SAHF
the leper. הַמְּצֹרָֽע׃ ṣāraʿ tsa-RA
