1 சாலொமோன் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தையும் ராஜ அரமனையையும், தான் செய்யவேண்டும் என்று விரும்பின எல்லாவற்றையும் கட்டி முடித்தபின்பு, And it came to pass, when Solomon had finished the building of the house of the LORD, and the king's house, and all Solomon's desire which he was pleased to do,

2 கர்த்தர் கிபியோனிலே சாலொமோனுக்குத் தரிசனமானதுபோல, இரண்டாந்தரமும் அவனுக்குத் தரிசனமானார். That the LORD appeared to Solomon the second time, as he had appeared unto him at Gibeon.

3 கர்த்தர் அவனை நோக்கி: நீ என் சமுகத்தில் செய்த உன் விண்ணப்பத்தையும் உன் வேண்டுதலையும் கேட்டேன்; நீ கட்டின இந்த ஆலயத்தில் என் நாமம் என்றைக்கும் விளங்கத்தக்கதாக, அதைப் பரிசுத்தமாக்கினேன்; என் கண்களும் என் இருதயமும் எந்நாளும் அங்கேயிருக்கும். And the LORD said unto him, I have heard thy prayer and thy supplication, that thou hast made before me: I have hallowed this house, which thou hast built, to put my name there for ever; and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually.

4 நான் உனக்குக் கட்டளையிட்ட எல்லாவற்றையும் நீ செய்து, என் கட்டளைகளையும் என் நியாயங்களையும் கைக்கொள்ளும்படிக்கு, என் சமுகத்தில் மன உத்தமமும் செம்மையுமாய் உன் தகப்பனாகிய தாவீது நடந்ததுபோல நடப்பாயானால், And if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, in integrity of heart, and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded thee, and wilt keep my statutes and my judgments:

5 இஸ்ரவேலின் சிங்காசனத்தின்மேல் உட்காரும் புருஷன் உனக்கு இல்லாமற்போவதில்லை என்று உன் தகப்பனாகிய தாவீதோடே நான் சொன்னபடியே, இஸ்ரவேலின்மேலுள்ள உன் ராஜ்யபாரத்தின் சிங்காசனத்தை என்றைக்கும் நிலைக்கப்பண்ணுவேன். Then I will establish the throne of thy kingdom upon Israel for ever, as I promised to David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man upon the throne of Israel.

6 நீங்களும் உங்கள் பிள்ளைகளும் என்னைவிட்டுப் பின்வாங்கி, நான் உங்களுக்கு முன்வைத்த என் கற்பனைகளையும் என் கட்டளைகளையும் கைக்கொள்ளாமற்போய், வேறே தேவர்களைச் சேவித்து, அவைகளைப் பணிந்துகொள்வீர்களாகில், But if ye shall at all turn from following me, ye or your children, and will not keep my commandments and my statutes which I have set before you, but go and serve other gods, and worship them:

7 நான் இஸ்ரவேலுக்குக் கொடுத்ததேசத்திலே அவர்களை வைக்காதபடிக்கு நிர்மூலமாக்கி, என் நாமம் விளங்க நான் பரிசுத்தமாக்கின இந்த ஆலயத்தை என் சமுகத்தைவிட்டுத் தள்ளுவேன்; அப்பொழுது இஸ்ரவேல் சகல ஜனங்களுக்குள்ளும் பழமொழியாகவும் வசைச் சொல்லாகவும் இருப்பார்கள். Then will I cut off Israel out of the land which I have given them; and this house, which I have hallowed for my name, will I cast out of my sight; and Israel shall be a proverb and a byword among all people:

8 அப்பொழுது உன்னதமாயிருக்கிற இந்த ஆலயத்தைக் கடந்துபோகிறவன் எவனும் பிரமித்து, பகிடியாய் ஈசலிட்டு; கர்த்தர் இந்த தேசத்துக்கும் இந்த ஆலயத்துக்கும் இப்படிச் செய்தது என்ன? என்று கேட்பார்கள். And at this house, which is high, every one that passeth by it shall be astonished, and shall hiss; and they shall say, Why hath the LORD done thus unto this land, and to this house?

9 அதற்கு அவர்கள்: தங்கள் பிதாக்களை எகிப்து தேசத்திலிருந்து புறப்படப்பண்ணின தங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரைவிட்டு, வேறே தேவர்களைப் பற்றிக் கொண்டு, அவர்களை நமஸ்கரித்துச் சேவித்தபடியினால், கர்த்தர் இந்தத் தீங்கையெல்லாம் அவர்கள்மேல் வரப்பண்ணினார் என்று சொல்லுவார்கள் என்றார். And they shall answer, Because they forsook the LORD their God, who brought forth their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and have taken hold upon other gods, and have worshipped them, and served them: therefore hath the LORD brought upon them all this evil.

10 சாலொமோன் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயமும் ராஜ அரமனையுமாகிய இரண்டு மாளிகைகளையும் கட்டி நிறைவேற்றுகிற இருபதாம் வருஷம் முடிவிலே, And it came to pass at the end of twenty years, when Solomon had built the two houses, the house of the LORD, and the king's house,

11 தன்னுடைய விருப்பத்தின்படியெல்லாம் தனக்குக் கேதுருமரங்களையும், தேவதாரி விருட்சங்களையும், பொன்னையும் கொடுத்துவந்த தீருவின் ராஜாவாகிய ஈராமுக்கு, ராஜாவாகிய சாலொமோன் கலிலேயா நாட்டிலுள்ள இருபது பட்டணங்களைக் கொடுத்தான். (Now Hiram the king of Tyre had furnished Solomon with cedar trees and fir trees, and with gold, according to all his desire,) that then king Solomon gave Hiram twenty cities in the land of Galilee.

12 ஈராம் தனக்குச் சாலொமோன் கொடுத்த பட்டணங்களைப் பார்க்கிறதற்குத் தீருவிலிருந்து புறப்பட்டுவந்தான்; அவைகளில் அவன் பிரியப்படவில்லை. And Hiram came out from Tyre to see the cities which Solomon had given him; and they pleased him not.

13 அதனாலே அவன்: என் சகோதரனே, நீர் எனக்குக் கொடுத்த இந்தப் பட்டணங்கள் என்ன பட்டணங்கள்? என்றான். அவைகளுக்கு இந்நாள்மட்டும் வழங்கிவருகிறபடி காபூல் நாடு என்று பேரிட்டான். And he said, What cities are these which thou hast given me, my brother? And he called them the land of Cabul unto this day.

14 ஈராம் ராஜாவுக்கு நூற்றிருபது தாலந்து பொன் அனுப்பியிருந்தான். And Hiram sent to the king sixscore talents of gold.

15 பிடித்த அமஞ்சி ஆட்களைக்கொண்டு சாலொமோன் ராஜா தான் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தையும், தன் அரமனையையும், மில்லோவையும், எருசலேமின் மதிலையும், ஆத்லோரையும், மெகிதோவையும், கேசேரையும் கட்டினான். And this is the reason of the levy which king Solomon raised; for to build the house of the LORD, and his own house, and Millo, and the wall of Jerusalem, and Hazor, and Megiddo, and Gezer.

16 கேசேரை ஏன் கட்டினான் என்றால், எகிப்தின் ராஜாவாகிய பார்வோன் புறப்பட்டுவந்து, அந்தக் கேசேர்பட்டணத்தைப் பிடித்து, அதை அக்கினியால் சுட்டெரித்து, அதிலே குடியிருந்த கானானியரைக் கொன்றுபோட்டு, அதைச் சாலொமோனின் மனைவியாகிய தன் குமாரத்திக்குச் சீதனமாகக் கொடுத்திருந்தான். For Pharaoh king of Egypt had gone up, and taken Gezer, and burnt it with fire, and slain the Canaanites that dwelt in the city, and given it for a present unto his daughter, Solomon's wife.

17 சாலொமோன் அந்தக் கேசேர்பட்டணத்தையும், கீழ்ப்பெத்தொரோனையும். And Solomon built Gezer, and Bethhoron the nether,

18 பாலாத்தையும், வனாந்தரவெளியிலுள்ள தத்மோரையும், And Baalath, and Tadmor in the wilderness, in the land,

19 தனக்கு இருக்கிற ரஸ்துக்களை வைக்கும் சகல பட்டணங்களையும், இரதங்கள் இருக்கும் பட்டணங்களையும், குதிரை வீரர் இருக்கும் பட்டணங்களையும், எருசலேமிலும் லீபனோனிலும், தான் அரசாண்ட தேசமெங்கும் தனக்கு இஷ்டமானதையெல்லாம் கட்டினான். And all the cities of store that Solomon had, and cities for his chariots, and cities for his horsemen, and that which Solomon desired to build in Jerusalem, and in Lebanon, and in all the land of his dominion.

20 இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் சங்காரம் பண்ணக் கூடாமல் மீந்திருந்த இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரின் ஜாதியல்லாத எமோரியர், ஏத்தியர், பெரிசியர், ஏவியர், எபூசியருமான சகல ஜனத்திலும், And all the people that were left of the Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites, which were not of the children of Israel,

21 அவர்களுக்குப் பிறகு தேசத்தில் மீந்திருந்த சகல ஜனங்களுடைய பிள்ளைகளையும், சாலொமோன் இந்நாள்வரைக்கும் நடக்கிறதுபோல, அமஞ்சிவேலை செய்ய அடிமைப்படுத்திக்கொண்டான். Their children that were left after them in the land, whom the children of Israel also were not able utterly to destroy, upon those did Solomon levy a tribute of bondservice unto this day.

22 இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரில் ஒருவரையும் சாலொமோன் அடிமைப்படுத்தவில்லை; அவர்கள் யுத்தமனுஷரும், அவனுக்குப் பணிவிடைக்காரரும், பிரபுக்களும், சேர்வைக்காரரும், இரதவீரரும், குதிரைவீரருமாயிருந்தார்கள். But of the children of Israel did Solomon make no bondmen: but they were men of war, and his servants, and his princes, and his captains, and rulers of his chariots, and his horsemen.

23 ஐந்நூற்றைம்பதுபேர் சாலொமோனின் வேலையை விசாரித்து, வேலையாட்களைக் கண்காணிக்கிறதற்குத் தலைமையான விசாரிப்புக்காரராயிருந்தார்கள். These were the chief of the officers that were over Solomon's work, five hundred and fifty, which bare rule over the people that wrought in the work.

24 பார்வோனின் குமாரத்தி, தாவீதின் நகரத்திலிருந்து சாலொமோன் தனக்குக் கட்டின தன் மாளிகையிலே குடிவந்தாள்; அப்பொழுது மில்லோவைக் கட்டினான். But Pharaoh's daughter came up out of the city of David unto her house which Solomon had built for her: then did he build Millo.

25 சாலொமோன் கர்த்தரின் ஆலயத்தை முடித்தபின்பு, அவருக்குக் கட்டின பலிபீடத்தின்மேல் வருஷத்தில் மூன்றுமுறை சர்வாங்க தகனபலிகளையும் சமாதான பலிகளையும் இட்டு, கர்த்தரின் சந்நிதியில் இருக்கிற பலிபீடத்தின்மேல் தூபங்காட்டிவந்தான். And three times in a year did Solomon offer burnt offerings and peace offerings upon the altar which he built unto the LORD, and he burnt incense upon the altar that was before the LORD. So he finished the house.

26 ராஜாவாகிய சாலொமோன் ஏதோம் தேசத்தில் சிவந்த சமுத்திரக்கரையிலே ஏலோத்துக்குச் சமீபத்திலுள்ள எசியோன்கேபேரிலே கப்பல்களைச் செய்வித்தான். And king Solomon made a navy of ships in Eziongeber, which is beside Eloth, on the shore of the Red sea, in the land of Edom.

27 அந்தக் கப்பல்களில் ஈராம் சமுத்திர யாத்திரையில் பழகின கப்பலாட்களாகிய தன் வேலைக்காரரைச் சாலொமோனுடைய வேலைக்காரரோடேகூட அனுப்பினான். And Hiram sent in the navy his servants, shipmen that had knowledge of the sea, with the servants of Solomon.

28 அவர்கள் ஓப்பீருக்குப்போய், அவ்விடத்திலிருந்து நானூற்று இருபது தாலந்து பொன்னை ராஜாவாகிய சாலொமோனிடத்தில் கொண்டுவந்தார்கள். And they came to Ophir, and fetched from thence gold, four hundred and twenty talents, and brought it to king Solomon.

1 Saalomon karththarutaiya aalayaththaiyum raaja aramanaiyaiyum, thaan seyyavaenndum entu virumpina ellaavattaைyum katti mutiththapinpu, And it came to pass, when Solomon had finished the building of the house of the LORD, and the king's house, and all Solomon's desire which he was pleased to do,

2 Karththar kipiyonilae saalomonukkuth tharisanamaanathupola, iranndaantharamum avanukkuth tharisanamaanaar. That the LORD appeared to Solomon the second time, as he had appeared unto him at Gibeon.

3 Karththar avanai Nnokki: nee en samukaththil seytha un vinnnappaththaiyum un vaennduthalaiyum kaettaேn; nee kattina intha aalayaththil en naamam entaikkum vilangaththakkathaaka, athaip Parisuththamaakkinaen; en kannkalum en iruthayamum ennaalum angaeyirukkum. And the LORD said unto him, I have heard thy prayer and thy supplication, that thou hast made before me: I have hallowed this house, which thou hast built, to put my name there for ever; and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually.

4 Naan unakkuk kattalaiyitta ellaavattaைyum nee seythu, en kattalaikalaiyum en niyaayangalaiyum kaikkollumpatikku, en samukaththil mana uththamamum semmaiyumaay un thakappanaakiya David nadanthathupola nadappaayaanaal, And if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, in integrity of heart, and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded thee, and wilt keep my statutes and my judgments:

5 Isravaelin singaasanaththinmael utkaarum purushan unakku illaamarpovathillai entu un thakappanaakiya thaaveethotae naan sonnapatiyae, isravaelinmaelulla un raajyapaaraththin singaasanaththai entaikkum nilaikkappannnuvaen. Then I will establish the throne of thy kingdom upon Israel for ever, as I promised to David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man upon the throne of Israel.

6 Neengalum ungal pillaikalum ennaivittup pinvaangi, naan ungalukku munvaiththa en karpanaikalaiyum en kattalaikalaiyum kaikkollaamarpoy, vaeraே thaevarkalaich seviththu, avaikalaip panninthukolveerkalaakil, But if ye shall at all turn from following me, ye or your children, and will not keep my commandments and my statutes which I have set before you, but go and serve other gods, and worship them:

7 Naan isravaelukkuk koduththathaesaththilae avarkalai vaikkaathapatikku nirmoolamaakki, en naamam vilanga naan Parisuththamaakkina intha aalayaththai en samukaththaivittuth thalluvaen; appoluthu Israel sakala janangalukkullum palamoliyaakavum vasaich sollaakavum iruppaarkal. Then will I cut off Israel out of the land which I have given them; and this house, which I have hallowed for my name, will I cast out of my sight; and Israel shall be a proverb and a byword among all people:

8 Appoluthu unnathamaayirukkira intha aalayaththaik kadanthupokiravan evanum piramiththu, pakitiyaay eesalittu; Karththar intha thaesaththukkum intha aalayaththukkum ippatich seythathu enna? Entu kaetpaarkal. And at this house, which is high, every one that passeth by it shall be astonished, and shall hiss; and they shall say, Why hath the LORD done thus unto this land, and to this house?

9 Atharku avarkal: thangal pithaakkalai ekipthu thaesaththilirunthu purappadappannnnina thangal thaevanaakiya karththaraivittu, vaeraே thaevarkalaip pattik konndu, avarkalai namaskariththuch seviththapatiyinaal, Karththar inthath theengaiyellaam avarkalmael varappannnninaar entu solluvaarkal entar. And they shall answer, Because they forsook the LORD their God, who brought forth their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and have taken hold upon other gods, and have worshipped them, and served them: therefore hath the LORD brought upon them all this evil.

10 Saalomon karththarutaiya aalayamum raaja aramanaiyumaakiya iranndu maalikaikalaiyum katti niraivaettaுkira irupathaam varusham mutivilae, And it came to pass at the end of twenty years, when Solomon had built the two houses, the house of the LORD, and the king's house,

11 Thannutaiya viruppaththinpatiyellaam thanakkuk kaethurumarangalaiyum, thaevathaari virutchangalaiyum, ponnaiyum koduththuvantha theeruvin raajaavaakiya eeraamukku, raajaavaakiya saalomon kalilaeyaa naattilulla irupathu pattanangalaik koduththaan. (Now Hiram the king of Tyre had furnished Solomon with cedar trees and fir trees, and with gold, according to all his desire,) that then king Solomon gave Hiram twenty cities in the land of Galilee.

12 Eeraam thanakkuch saalomon koduththa pattanangalaip paarkkiratharkuth theeruvilirunthu purappattuvanthaan; avaikalil avan piriyappadavillai. And Hiram came out from Tyre to see the cities which Solomon had given him; and they pleased him not.

13 Athanaalae avan: en sakotharanae, neer enakkuk koduththa inthap pattanangal enna pattanangal? Entan. Avaikalukku innaalmattum valangivarukirapati kaapool naadu entu paerittan. And he said, What cities are these which thou hast given me, my brother? And he called them the land of Cabul unto this day.

14 Eeraam raajaavukku noottirupathu thaalanthu pon anuppiyirunthaan. And Hiram sent to the king sixscore talents of gold.

15 Pitiththa amanji aatkalaikkonndu saalomon raajaa thaan karththarutaiya aalayaththaiyum, than aramanaiyaiyum, millovaiyum, erusalaemin mathilaiyum, aathloraiyum, mekithovaiyum, kaeseraiyum kattinaan. And this is the reason of the levy which king Solomon raised; for to build the house of the LORD, and his own house, and Millo, and the wall of Jerusalem, and Hazor, and Megiddo, and Gezer.

16 Kaeserai aen kattinaan ental, ekipthin raajaavaakiya paarvon purappattuvanthu, anthak kaeserpattanaththaip pitiththu, athai akkiniyaal sutteriththu, athilae kutiyiruntha kaanaaniyaraik kontupottu, athaich saalomonin manaiviyaakiya than kumaaraththikkuch seethanamaakak koduththirunthaan. 17 Saalomon anthak kaeserpattanaththaiyum, geelppeththoronaiyum. And Solomon built Gezer, and Bethhoron the nether,

18 Paalaaththaiyum, vanaantharaveliyilulla thathmoraiyum, And Baalath, and Tadmor in the wilderness, in the land,

19 Thanakku irukkira rasthukkalai vaikkum sakala pattanangalaiyum, irathangal irukkum pattanangalaiyum, kuthirai veerar irukkum pattanangalaiyum, erusalaemilum leepanonilum, thaan arasaannda thaesamengum thanakku ishdamaanathaiyellaam kattinaan. And all the cities of store that Solomon had, and cities for his chariots, and cities for his horsemen, and that which Solomon desired to build in Jerusalem, and in Lebanon, and in all the land of his dominion.

And three times in a year did Solomon offer burnt offerings and peace offerings upon the altar which he built unto the LORD, and he burnt incense upon the altar that was before the LORD. So he finished the house.

26 Raajaavaakiya saalomon aethom thaesaththil sivantha samuththirakkaraiyilae aeloththukkuch sameepaththilulla esiyonkaepaerilae kappalkalaich seyviththaan. And king Solomon made a navy of ships in Eziongeber, which is beside Eloth, on the shore of the Red sea, in the land of Edom.

27 Anthak kappalkalil eeraam samuththira yaaththiraiyil palakina kappalaatkalaakiya than vaelaikkaararaich saalomonutaiya vaelaikkaararotaekooda anuppinaan. And Hiram sent in the navy his servants, shipmen that had knowledge of the sea, with the servants of Solomon.

28 Avarkal oppeerukkuppoy, avvidaththilirunthu naanoottaு irupathu thaalanthu ponnai raajaavaakiya saalomonidaththil konnduvanthaarkal. And they came to Ophir, and fetched from thence gold, four hundred and twenty talents, and brought it to king Solomon.
