అబీమెలెకు అతని తరుమగా అతడు అతని యెదుట నిలువలేక పారిపోయెను. అనేకులు గాయపడి పట్టణపు గవిని ప్రవేశించు చోట పడిరి.

| him, and many | וַֽיִּפְּל֛וּ | wayyippĕlû | va-yee-peh-LOO |
| overthrown were | חֲלָלִ֥ים | ḥălālîm | huh-la-LEEM |
| and wounded, | רַבִּ֖ים | rabbîm | ra-BEEM |
| even unto | עַד | ʿad | ad |
| entering the | פֶּ֥תַח | petaḥ | PEH-tahk |
| of the gate. | הַשָּֽׁעַר׃ | haššāʿar | ha-SHA-ar |
