Proverbs 23 - DBY (Telugu)

1 When thou sittest to eat with a ruler, consider well who is before thee;నీవు ఏలికతో భోజనము చేయ కూర్చుండినయెడల నీవెవరి సమక్షమున నున్నావో బాగుగా యోచిం చుము.

2 and put a knife to thy throat, if thou be a man given to appetite.నీవు తిండిపోతువైనయెడల నీ గొంతుకకు కత్తి పెట్టుకొనుము.

3 Be not desirous of his dainties; for they are deceitful food.అతని రుచిగల పదార్థములను ఆశింపకుము అవి మోసపుచ్చు ఆహారములు.

4 Weary not thyself to become rich; cease from thine own intelligence:ఐశ్వర్యము పొంద ప్రయాసపడకుము నీకు అట్టి అభిప్రాయము కలిగినను దాని విడిచిపెట్టుము.

5 wilt thou set thine eyes upon it, it is gone; for indeed it maketh itself wings and it flieth away as an eagle towards the heavens.నీవు దానిమీద దృష్టి నిలిపినతోడనే అది లేకపోవును నిశ్చయముగా అది రెక్కలు ధరించి యెగిరిపోవును. పక్షిరాజు ఆకాశమునకు ఎగిరిపోవునట్లు అది ఎగిరి పోవును.

6 Eat thou not the food of him that hath an evil eye, neither desire thou his dainties.ఎదుటివాని మేలు ఓర్చలేనివానితో కలిసి భోజనము చేయకుము వాని రుచిగల పదార్థముల నాశింపకుము.

7 For as he thinketh in his soul, so is he. Eat and drink! will he say unto thee; but his heart is not with thee.అట్టివాడు తన ఆంతర్యములో లెక్కలు చూచుకొను వాడు తినుము త్రాగుము అని అతడు నీతో చెప్పునే గాని అది హృదయములోనుండి వచ్చు మాట కాదు.

8 Thy morsel which thou hast eaten must thou vomit up, and thou wilt have wasted thy sweet words.నీవు తినినను తినినదానిని కక్కి వేయుదువు నీవు పలికిన యింపైన మాటలు వ్యర్థములగును.

9 Speak not in the ears of a foolish [man], for he will despise the wisdom of thy words.బుద్ధిహీనుడు వినగా మాటలాడకుము అట్టివాడు నీ మాటలలోని జ్ఞానమును తృణీకరించును.

10 Remove not the ancient landmark; and enter not into the fields of the fatherless:పురాతనమైన పొలిమేర రాతిని తీసివేయకుము తలిదండ్రులు లేనివారి పొలములోనికి నీవు చొరబడ కూడదు

11 for their redeemer is mighty; he will plead their cause against thee.వారి విమోచకుడు బలవంతుడు ఆయన వారిపక్షమున నీతో వ్యాజ్యెమాడును.

12 Apply thy heart unto instruction, and thine ears to the words of knowledge.ఉపదేశముమీద మనస్సు నుంచుము తెలివిగల మాటలకు చెవి యొగ్గుము.

13 Withhold not correction from the child; for [if] thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die:నీ బాలురను శిక్షించుట మానుకొనకుము బెత్తముతో వాని కొట్టినయెడల వాడు చావకుండును

14 thou shalt beat him with the rod, and shalt deliver his soul from Sheol.బెత్తముతో వాని కొట్టినయెడల పాతాళమునకు పోకుండ వాని ఆత్మను నీవు తప్పించె దవు.

15 My son, if thy heart be wise, my heart shall rejoice, even mine;నా కుమారుడా, నీ హృదయమునకు జ్ఞానము లభించిన యెడల నా హృదయముకూడ సంతోషించును.

16 and my reins shall exult, when thy lips speak right things.నీ పెదవులు యథార్థమైన మాటలు పలుకుట విని నా అంతరింద్రియములు ఆనందించును.

17 Let not thy heart envy sinners, but [be thou] in the fear of Jehovah all the day;పాపులను చూచి నీ హృదయమునందు మత్సరపడకుము నిత్యము యెహోవాయందు భయభక్తులు కలిగి యుండుము.

18 for surely there is a result, and thine expectation shall not be cut off.నిశ్చయముగా ముందు గతి రానే వచ్చును నీ ఆశ భంగము కానేరదు.

19 Thou, my son, hear and be wise, and direct thy heart in the way.నా కుమారుడా, నీవు విని జ్ఞానము తెచ్చుకొనుము నీ హృదయమును యథార్థమైన త్రోవలయందు చక్కగా నడిపించుకొనుము.

20 Be not among winebibbers, among riotous eaters of flesh.ద్రాక్షారసము త్రాగువారితోనైనను మాంసము హెచ్చుగాతినువారితోనైనను సహ వాసము చేయకుము.

21 For the drunkard and the glutton shall come to poverty; and drowsiness clotheth with rags.త్రాగుబోతులును తిండిపోతులును దరిద్రులగుదురు. నిద్రమత్తు చింపిగుడ్డలు ధరించుటకు కారణమగును.

22 Hearken unto thy father that begat thee, and despise not thy mother when she is old.నిన్ను కనిన నీ తండ్రి ఉపదేశము అంగీకరించుము నీ తల్లి ముదిమియందు ఆమెను నిర్లక్ష్యము చేయకుము.

23 Buy the truth, and sell it not; wisdom, and instruction, and intelligence.సత్యమును అమి్మవేయక దాని కొనియుంచు కొనుము జ్ఞానమును ఉపదేశమును వివేకమును కొనియుంచు కొనుము.

24 The father of a righteous [man] shall greatly rejoice, and he that begetteth a wise [son] shall have joy of him:నీతిమంతుని తండ్రికి అధిక సంతోషము కలుగును జ్ఞానముగలవానిని కనినవాడు వానివలన ఆనందము నొందును.

25 let thy father and thy mother have joy, and let her that bore thee rejoice.నీ తలిదండ్రులను నీవు సంతోషపెట్టవలెను నిన్ను కనిన తల్లిని ఆనందపరచవలెను.

26 My son, give me thy heart, and let thine eyes observe my ways.నా కుమారుడా, నీ హృదయమును నాకిమ్ము నా మార్గములు నీ కన్నులకు ఇంపుగా నుండనిమ్ము,

27 For a whore is a deep ditch; and a strange woman is a narrow pit.వేశ్య లోతైన గొయ్యి పరస్త్రీ యిరుకైన గుంట.

28 She also lieth in wait as a robber, and increaseth the treacherous among men.దోచుకొనువాడు పొంచియుండునట్లు అది పొంచి యుండును అది బహుమందిని విశ్వాసఘాతకులనుగా చేయును.

29 Who hath woe? Who hath sorrow? Who contentions? Who complaining? Who wounds without cause? Who redness of eyes?ఎవరికి శ్రమ? ఎవరికి దుఃఖము? ఎవరికి జగడములు? ఎవరికి చింత? ఎవరికి హేతువులేని గాయములు?ఎవరికి మంద దృష్టి?

30 -- They that tarry long at the wine; they that go to try mixed wine.ద్రాక్షారసముతో ప్రొద్దుపుచ్చువారికే గదా కలిపిన ద్రాక్షారసము రుచిచూడ చేరువారికే గదా.

31 Look not upon the wine when it is red, when it sparkleth in the cup, and goeth down smoothly:ద్రాక్షారసము మిక్కిలి ఎఱ్ఱబడగను గిన్నెలో తళతళలాడుచుండగను త్రాగుటకు రుచిగా నుండగను దానివైపు చూడకుము.

32 at the last it biteth like a serpent, and stingeth like an adder.పిమ్మట అది సర్పమువలె కరచును కట్లపామువలె కాటువేయును.

33 Thine eyes shall behold strange women, and thy heart shall speak froward things;విపరీతమైనవి నీ కన్నులకు కనబడును నీవు వెఱ్ఱిమాటలు పలుకుదువు

34 and thou shalt be as he that lieth down in the midst of the sea, and as he that lieth down upon the top of a mast:నీవు నడిసముద్రమున పండుకొనువానివలె నుందువు ఓడకొయ్య చివరను పండుకొనువానివలె నుందువు.

35 -- ''They have smitten me, [and] I am not sore; they have beaten me, [and] I knew it not. When shall I awake? I will seek it yet again.''నన్ను కొట్టినను నాకు నొప్పి కలుగలేదు నామీద దెబ్బలు పడినను నాకు తెలియలేదు నేనెప్పుడు నిద్ర మేల్కొందును? మరల దాని వెదకుదును అని నీవనుకొందువు.
