Proverbs 17 - YLT (Telugu)

1 Better `is' a dry morsel, and rest with it, Than a house full of the sacrifices of strife.రుచియైన భోజన పదార్థములున్నను కలహముతో కూడియుండిన ఇంటనుండుటకంటె నెమ్మది కలిగియుండి వట్టి రొట్టెముక్క తినుట మేలు.

2 A wise servant ruleth over a son causing shame, And in the midst of brethren He apportioneth an inheritance.బుద్ధిగల దాసుడు సిగ్గుతెచ్చు కుమారునిమీద ఏలుబడి చేయును అన్నదమ్ములతోపాటు వాడు పిత్రార్జితము పంచు కొనును.

3 A refining pot `is' for silver, and a furnace for gold, And the trier of hearts `is' Jehovah.వెండికి మూస తగినది, బంగారునకు కొలిమి తగినది హృదయ పరిశోధకుడు యెహోవాయే.

4 An evil doer is attentive to lips of vanity, Falsehood is giving ear to a mischievous tongue.చెడునడవడి గలవాడు దోషపు మాటలు వినును నాలుక హానికరమైన మాటలు పలుకుచుండగా అబద్ధి కుడు చెవియొగ్గును.

5 Whoso is mocking at the poor Hath reproached his Maker, Whoso is rejoicing at calamity is not acquitted.బీదలను వెక్కిరించువాడు వారి సృష్టికర్తను నిందించు వాడు. ఆపదను చూచి సంతోషించువాడు నిర్దోషిగా ఎంచ బడడు.

6 Sons' sons `are' the crown of old men, And the glory of sons `are' their fathers.కుమారుల కుమారులు వృద్ధులకు కిరీటము తండ్రులే కుమారులకు అలంకారము.

7 Not comely for a fool is a lip of excellency, Much less for a noble a lip of falsehood.అహంకారముగా మాటలాడుట బుద్ధిలేనివానికి తగదు అబద్ధమాడుట అధిపతికి బొత్తిగా తగదు.

8 A stone of grace `is' the bribe in the eyes of its possessors, Whithersoever it turneth, it prospereth.లంచము దృష్టికి మాణిక్యమువలె నుండును అట్టివాడు ఏమి చేసినను దానిలో యుక్తిగా ప్రవ ర్తించును.

9 Whoso is covering transgression is seeking love, And whoso is repeating a matter Is separating a familiar friend.ప్రేమను వృద్ధిచేయగోరువాడు తప్పితములు దాచి పెట్టును. జరిగిన సంగతి మాటిమాటికి ఎత్తువాడు మిత్రభేదము చేయును.

10 Rebuke cometh down on the intelligent More than a hundred stripes on a fool.బుద్ధిహీనునికి నూరుదెబ్బలు నాటునంతకంటె బుద్ధిమంతునికి ఒక గద్దింపుమాట లోతుగా నాటును.

11 An evil man seeketh only rebellion, And a fierce messenger is sent against him.తిరుగుబాటు చేయువాడు కీడుచేయుటకే కోరును అట్టివానివెంట క్రూరదూత పంపబడును.

12 The meeting of a bereaved bear by a man, And -- not a fool in his folly.పిల్లలను పోగొట్టుకొనిన యెలుగుబంటిని ఎదుర్కొన వచ్చును గాని మూర్ఖపుపనులు చేయుచున్న మూర్ఖుని ఎదుర్కొన రాదు

13 Whoso is returning evil for good, Evil moveth not from his house.మేలుకు ప్రతిగా కీడు చేయువాని యింటనుండి కీడు తొలగిపోదు.

14 The beginning of contention `is' a letting out of waters, And before it is meddled with leave the strife.కలహారంభము నీటిగట్టున పుట్టు ఊట వివాదము అధికము కాకమునుపే దాని విడిచిపెట్టుము. దుష్టులు నిర్దోషులని తీర్పు తీర్చువాడు

15 Whoso is justifying the wicked, And condemning the righteous, Even both of these `are' an abomination to Jehovah.నీతిమంతులు దోషులని తీర్పు తీర్చువాడు వీరిద్దరును యెహోవాకు హేయులు.

16 Why `is' this -- a price in the hand of a fool to buy wisdom, And a heart there is none?బుద్ధిహీనుని చేతిలో జ్ఞానము సంపాదించుటకు సొమ్ముండ నేల? వానికి బుద్ధి లేదు గదా?

17 At all times is the friend loving, And a brother for adversity is born.నిజమైన స్నేహితుడు విడువక ప్రేమించును దుర్దశలో అట్టివాడు సహోదరుడుగా నుండును.

18 A man lacking heart is striking hands, A surety he becometh before his friend.తన పొరుగువానికి జామీను ఉండి పూటపడువాడు తెలివిమాలినవాడు.

19 Whoso is loving transgression is loving debate, Whoso is making high his entrance is seeking destruction.కలహప్రియుడు దుర్మార్గప్రియుడు తన వాకిండ్లు ఎత్తుచేయువాడు నాశనము వెదకువాడు.

20 The perverse of heart findeth not good, And the turned in his tongue falleth into evil.కుటిలవర్తనుడు మేలుపొందడు మూర్ఖముగా మాటలాడువాడు కీడులో పడును.

21 Whoso is begetting a fool hath affliction for it, Yea, the father of a fool rejoiceth not.బుద్ధిహీనుని కనినవానికి వ్యసనము కలుగును తెలివిలేనివాని తండ్రికి సంతోషము లేదు.

22 A rejoicing heart doth good to the body, And a smitten spirit drieth the bone.సంతోషముగల మనస్సు ఆరోగ్యకారణము. నలిగిన మనస్సు ఎముకలను ఎండిపోజేయును.

23 A bribe from the bosom the wicked taketh, To turn aside the paths of judgment.న్యాయవిధులను చెరుపుటకై దుష్టుడు ఒడిలోనుండి లంచము పుచ్చుకొనును.

24 The face of the intelligent `is' to wisdom, And the eyes of a fool -- at the end of the earth.జ్ఞానము వివేకముగలవాని యెదుటనే యున్నది బుద్ధిహీనువి కన్నులు భూదిగంతములలో ఉండును.

25 A provocation to his father `is' a foolish son, And bitterness to her that bare him.బుద్ధిహీనుడగు కుమారుడు తన తండ్రికి దుఃఖము తెచ్చును తన్ను కనినదానికి అట్టివాడు బాధ కలుగజేయును

26 Also, to fine the righteous is not good, To smite nobles for uprightness.నీతిమంతులను దండించుట న్యాయము కాదు అది వారి యథార్థతనుబట్టి మంచివారిని హతము చేయుటే.

27 One acquainted with knowledge is sparing his words, And the cool of temper `is' a man of understanding.మితముగా మాటలాడువాడు తెలివిగలవాడు శాంతగుణముగలవాడు వివేకముగలవాడు.

28 Even a fool keeping silence is reckoned wise, He who is shutting his lips intelligent!ఒకడు మూఢుడైనను మౌనముగా నుండినయెడల జ్ఞాని అని యెంచబడును అట్టివాడు పెదవులు మూసికొనగా వాడు వివేకి అని యెంచబడును.
