జనభరితమైన పట్టణము ఎట్లు ఏకాకియై దుఃఖా క్రాంతమాయెను? అది విధవరాలివంటిదాయెను. అన్యజనులలో ఘనతకెక్కినది సంస్థానములలో రాచకుమార్తెయైనది ఎట్లు పన్ను చెల్లించునదైపోయెను?

| she that was great | רַבָּ֣תִי | rabbātî | ra-BA-tee |
| among the nations, | בַגּוֹיִ֗ם | baggôyim | va-ɡoh-YEEM |
| princess and | שָׂרָ֙תִי֙ | śārātiy | sa-RA-TEE |
| among the provinces, | בַּמְּדִינ֔וֹת | bammĕdînôt | ba-meh-dee-NOTE |
| how is she become | הָיְתָ֖ה | hāytâ | hai-TA |
