తన పినతండ్రి కుమార్తెయైన హదస్సా అను ఎస్తేరు తలితండ్రులు లేనిదై యుండగా అతడామెను పెంచుకొనెను. ఆమె అందమైన రూపమును సుందర ముఖమునుగలదై యుండెను. ఆమె తలిదండ్రులు మరణము పొందిన తరువాత మొర్దెకై ఆమెను తన కుమార్తెగా స్వీకరించెను.
