Deuteronomy 26:5
నీవునా తండ్రి నశించుచున్న అరామీదేశస్థుడు; అతడు ఐగుప్తు నకు వెళ్లెను. కొద్దిమందితో అక్కడికి పోయి పరవాసియై, గొప్పదియు బలమైనదియు విస్తారమైనదియు నగు జనమాయెను.

| God, thy | אֱלֹהֶ֗יךָ | ʾĕlōhêkā | ay-loh-HAY-ha |
| A Syrian | אֲרַמִּי֙ | ʾărammiy | uh-ra-MEE |
| perish to ready | אֹבֵ֣ד | ʾōbēd | oh-VADE |
| was my father, | אָבִ֔י | ʾābî | ah-VEE |
| down went he and | וַיֵּ֣רֶד | wayyēred | va-YAY-red |
| into Egypt, | מִצְרַ֔יְמָה | miṣraymâ | meets-RA-ma |
| and sojourned | וַיָּ֥גָר | wayyāgor | va-YA-ɡore |
| there | שָׁ֖ם | šām | shahm |
| with | בִּמְתֵ֣י | bimtê | beem-TAY |
| few, a | מְעָ֑ט | mĕʿāṭ | meh-AT |
| and became | וַֽיְהִי | wayhî | VA-hee |
| there | שָׁ֕ם | šām | shahm |
| nation, a | לְג֥וֹי | lĕgôy | leh-ɡOY |
| great, | גָּד֖וֹל | gādôl | ɡa-DOLE |
| mighty, | עָצ֥וּם | ʿāṣûm | ah-TSOOM |
| and populous: | וָרָֽב׃ | wārāb | va-RAHV |
