1 Peter 4
1 క్రీస్తు శరీరమందు శ్రమపడెను గనుక మీరును అట్టి మనస్సును ఆయుధముగా ధరించుకొనుడి.
2 శరీర విషయములో శ్రమపడినవాడు శరీరమందు జీవించు మిగిలినకాలము ఇకమీదట మనుజాశలను అనుసరించి నడుచుకొనక, దేవుని ఇష్టానుసారముగానే నడుచుకొను నట్లు పాపముతో జోలి యిక నేమియులేక యుండును.
3 మనము పోకిరిచేష్టలు, దురాశలు, మద్య పానము, అల్లరితో కూడిన ఆటపాటలు, త్రాగుబోతుల విందులు, చేయదగని విగ్రహపూజలు మొదలైనవాటియందు నడుచుకొనుచు, అన్యజనుల ఇష్టము నెరవేర్చుచుండుటకు గతించినకాలమే చాలును,
4 అపరిమితమైన ఆ దుర్వ్యాపారమునందు తమతోకూడ మీరు పరుగెత్తకపోయినందుకు వారు ఆశ్చర్యపడుచు మిమ్మును దూషించుచున్నారు.
5 సజీవుల కును మృతులకును తీర్పుతీర్చుటకు సిద్ధముగా ఉన్నవానికి వారుత్తరవాదులైయున్నారు.
6 మృతులు శరీరవిషయములో మానవరీత్య తీర్పు పొందునట్లును ఆత్మవిషయములో దేవుని బట్టి జీవించునట్లును వారికికూడ సువార్త ప్రకటింపబడెను.
1 Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;
2 That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.
3 For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries:
4 Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you:
5 Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the quick and the dead.
6 For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.

Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;
2 శరీర విషయములో శ్రమపడినవాడు శరీరమందు జీవించు మిగిలినకాలము ఇకమీదట మనుజాశలను అనుసరించి నడుచుకొనక, దేవుని ఇష్టానుసారముగానే నడుచుకొను నట్లు పాపముతో జోలి యిక నేమియులేక యుండును.
That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.
3 మనము పోకిరిచేష్టలు, దురాశలు, మద్య పానము, అల్లరితో కూడిన ఆటపాటలు, త్రాగుబోతుల విందులు, చేయదగని విగ్రహపూజలు మొదలైనవాటియందు నడుచుకొనుచు, అన్యజనుల ఇష్టము నెరవేర్చుచుండుటకు గతించినకాలమే చాలును,
For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries:
4 అపరిమితమైన ఆ దుర్వ్యాపారమునందు తమతోకూడ మీరు పరుగెత్తకపోయినందుకు వారు ఆశ్చర్యపడుచు మిమ్మును దూషించుచున్నారు.
