1 And the LORD spake unto Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the tabernacle of the congregation, on the first day of the second month, in the second year after they were come out of the land of Egypt, saying,இஸ்ரவேலர் எகிப்துதேசத்திலிருந்து புறப்பட்ட இரண்டாம் வருஷம் இரண்டாம் மாதம் முதல் தேதியில், கர்த்தர் சீனாய் வனாந்தரத்திலிருக்கிற ஆசரிப்புக் கூடாரத்திலே மோசேயை நோக்கி:

2 Take ye the sum of all the congregation of the children of Israel, after their families, by the house of their fathers, with the number of their names, every male by their polls;நீங்கள் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரின் முழுச்சபையாயிருக்கிற அவர்கள் பிதாக்களுடைய வீட்டு வம்சங்களிலுள்ள புருஷர்களாகிய சகல தலைகளையும் பேர்பேராக எண்ணித் தொகையேற்றுங்கள்.

3 From twenty years old and upward, all that are able to go forth to war in Israel: thou and Aaron shall number them by their armies.இஸ்ரவேலிலே இருபது வயதுள்ளவர்கள் முதல் யுத்தத்துக்குப் புறப்படத்தக்கவர்கள் எல்லாரையும் அவர்கள் சேனைகளின்படி நீயும் ஆரோனும் எண்ணிப் பார்ப்பீர்களாக.

4 And with you there shall be a man of every tribe; every one head of the house of his fathers.ஒவ்வொரு கோத்திரத்துக்கு ஒவ்வொரு மனிதன் உங்களோடே இருப்பானாக; அவன் தன் பிதாக்களின் வம்சத்துக்குத் தலைவனாயிருக்கவேண்டும்.

5 And these are the names of the men that shall stand with you: of the tribe of Reuben; Elizur the son of Shedeur.உங்களோடே நிற்கவேண்டிய மனிதருடைய நாமங்களாவன: ரூபன் கோத்திரத்தில் சேதேயூருடைய குமாரன் எலிசூர்.

6 Of Simeon; Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai.சிமியோன் கோத்திரத்தில் சூரிஷதாயின் குமாரன் செலூமியேல்.

7 Of Judah; Nahshon the son of Amminadab.யூதா கோத்திரத்தில் அம்மினதாபின் குமாரன் நகசோன்.

8 Of Issachar; Nethaneel the son of Zuar.இசக்கார் கோத்திரத்தில் சூவாரின் குமாரன் நெதனெயேல்.

9 Of Zebulun; Eliab the son of Helon.செபுலோன் கோத்திரத்தில் ஏலோனின் குமாரன் எலியாப்.

10 Of the children of Joseph: of Ephraim; Elishama the son of Ammihud: of Manasseh; Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur.யோசேப்பின் குமாரராகிய எப்பிராயீம் கோத்திரத்தில் அம்மியூதின் குமாரன் எலிஷாமா; மனாசே கோத்திரத்தில் பெதாசூரின் குமாரன் கமாலியேல்.

11 Of Benjamin; Abidan the son of Gideoni.பென்யமீன் கோத்திரத்தில் கீதெயோனின் குமாரன் அபீதான்.

12 Of Dan; Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai.தாண் கோத்திரத்தில் அம்மிஷதாயின் குமாரன் அகியேசேர்.

13 Of Asher; Pagiel the son of Ocran.ஆசேர் கோத்திரத்தில் ஓகிரானின் குமாரன் பாகியேல்.

14 Of Gad; Eliasaph the son of Deuel.காத் கோத்திரத்தில் தேகுவேலின் குமாரன் எலியாசாப்.

15 Of Naphtali; Ahira the son of Enan.நப்தலி கோத்திரத்தில் ஏனானின் குமாரன் அகீரா.

16 These were the renowned of the congregation, princes of the tribes of their fathers, heads of thousands in Israel.இவர்களே சபையில் ஏற்படுத்தப்பட்டவர்களும், தங்கள் தங்கள் பிரபுக்களும், இஸ்ரவேலில் ஆயிரவர்களுக்குத் தலைவருமாயிருப்பவர்கள் என்றார்.

17 And Moses and Aaron took these men which are expressed by their names:அப்படியே மோசேயும் ஆரோனும் பேர்பேராகக் குறிக்கப்பட்ட இந்த மனிதரைக் கூட்டிக்கொண்டு,

18 And they assembled all the congregation together on the first day of the second month, and they declared their pedigrees after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, by their polls.இரண்டாம் மாதம் முதல் தேதியில் சபையார் எல்லாரையும் கூடிவரச்செய்தார்கள். அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் தங்கள் தங்கள் குடும்பத்தின்படிக்கும், பிதாக்களுடைய வம்சத்தின்படிக்கும், நாமத்தொகையின்படிக்கும், இருபது வயதுள்ளவர்கள் முதல் தலைதலையாகத் தங்கள் வம்ச உற்பத்தியைத் தெரிவித்தார்கள்.

19 As the LORD commanded Moses, so he numbered them in the wilderness of Sinai.இப்படிக் கர்த்தர் கட்டளையிட்டபடியே, மோசே அவர்களைச் சீனாய் வனாந்தரத்தில் எண்ணிப்பார்த்தான்.

20 And the children of Reuben, Israel's eldest son, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, by their polls, every male from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;இஸ்ரவேலின் மூத்தகுமாரனாகிய ரூபன் புத்திரருடைய பிதாக்களின் வீட்டுவம்சத்தாரில் இருபது வயதுள்ளவர்கள்முதல் யுத்தத்திற்குப் புறப்படத்தக்க புருஷர்கள் எல்லாரும் தலைதலையாக எண்ணப்பட்டபோது,

21 Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Reuben, were forty and six thousand and five hundred.ரூபன் கோத்திரத்தில் எண்ணப்பட்டவர்கள், நாற்பத்தாறாயிரத்து ஐந்நூறுபேர்.

22 Of the children of Simeon, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, those that were numbered of them, according to the number of the names, by their polls, every male from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;சிமியோன் புத்திரருடைய பிதாக்களின் வீட்டு வம்சத்தாரில் இருபது வயதுள்ளவர்கள் முதல் யுத்தத்திற்குப் புறப்படத்தக்க புருஷர்கள் எல்லாரும் தலைதலையாக எண்ணப்பட்டபோது,

23 Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Simeon, were fifty and nine thousand and three hundred.சிமியோன் கோத்திரத்தில் எண்ணப்பட்டவர்கள், ஐம்பத்தொன்பதினாயிரத்து முந்நூறுபேர்.

24 Of the children of Gad, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;காத் புத்திரருடைய பிதாக்களின் வீட்டு வம்சத்தாரரில் இருபது வயதுள்ளவர்கள் முதல் யுத்தத்திற்குப் புறப்படத்தக்க புருஷர்கள் எல்லாரும் எண்ணப்பட்டபோது,

25 Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Gad, were forty and five thousand six hundred and fifty.காத் கோத்திரத்தில் எண்ணப்பட்டவர்கள், நாற்பத்தையாயிரத்து அறுநூற்று ஐம்பதுபேர்.

26 Of the children of Judah, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;யூதா புத்திரருடைய பிதாக்களின் வீட்டு வம்சத்தாரில் இருபது வயதுள்ளவர்கள் முதல் யுத்தத்திற்குப் புறப்படத்தக்க புருஷர்கள் எல்லாரும் எண்ணப்பட்டபோது,

27 Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Judah, were threescore and fourteen thousand and six hundred.யூதா கோத்திரத்தில் எண்ணப்பட்டவர்கள், எழுபத்து நாலாயிரத்து அறுநூறுபேர்.

28 Of the children of Issachar, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;இசக்கார் புத்திரருடைய பிதாக்களின் வீட்டு வம்சத்தாரில் இருபது வயதுள்ளவர்கள் முதல் யுத்தத்திற்குப் புறப்படத்தக்க புருஷர்கள் எல்லாரும் எண்ணப்பட்டபோது,

29 Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Issachar, were fifty and four thousand and four hundred.இசக்கார் கோத்திரத்தில் எண்ணப்பட்டவர்கள், ஐம்பத்து நாலாயிரத்து நானூறுபேர்.

30 Of the children of Zebulun, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;செபுலோன் புத்திரருடைய பிதாக்களின் வீட்டு வம்சத்தாரில் இருபது வயதுள்ளவர்கள் முதல் யுத்தத்திற்குப் புறப்படத்தக்க புருஷர்கள் எல்லாரும் எண்ணப்பட்டபோது,

31 Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Zebulun, were fifty and seven thousand and four hundred.செபுலோன் கோத்திரத்தில் எண்ணப்பட்டவர்கள், ஐம்பத்தேழாயிரத்து நானூறுபேர்.

32 Of the children of Joseph, namely, of the children of Ephraim, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;யோசேப்பின் குமாரரில் எப்பிராயீம் புத்திரருடைய பிதாக்களின் வீட்டு வம்சத்தாரில் இருபது வயதுள்ளவர்கள் முதல் யுத்தத்திற்குப் புறப்படத்தக்க புருஷர்கள் எல்லாரும் எண்ணப்பட்டபோது,

33 Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Ephraim, were forty thousand and five hundred.எப்பிராயீம் கோத்திரத்தில் எண்ணப்பட்டவர்கள், நாற்பதினாயிரத்து ஐந்நூறுபேர்.

34 Of the children of Manasseh, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;மனாசே புத்திரருடைய பிதாக்களின் வீட்டு வம்சத்தாரில் இருபது வயதுள்ளவர்கள் முதல் யுத்தத்திற்குப் புறப்படத்தக்க புருஷர்கள் எல்லாரும் எண்ணப்பட்டபோது,

35 Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Manasseh, were thirty and two thousand and two hundred.மனாசே கோத்திரத்தில் எண்ணப்பட்டவர்கள், முப்பத்தீராயிரத்து இருநூறுபேர்.

36 Of the children of Benjamin, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;பென்யமீன் புத்திரருடைய பிதாக்களின் வீட்டு வம்சத்தாரில் இருபது வயதுள்ளவர்கள் முதல் யுத்தத்திற்குப் புறப்படத்தக்க புருஷர்கள் எல்லாரும் எண்ணப்பட்டபோது,

37 Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Benjamin, were thirty and five thousand and four hundred.பென்யமீன் கோத்திரத்தில் எண்ணப்பட்டவர்கள், முப்பத்தையாயிரத்து நானூறுபேர்.

38 Of the children of Dan, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;தாண் புத்திரருடைய பிதாக்களின் வீட்டு வம்சத்தாரில் இருபது வயதுள்ளவர்கள் முதல் யுத்தத்திற்குப் புறப்படத்தக்க புருஷர்கள் எல்லாரும் எண்ணப்பட்டபோது,

39 Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Dan, were threescore and two thousand and seven hundred.தாண் கோத்திரத்தில் எண்ணப்பட்டவர்கள், அறுபத்தீராயிரத்து எழுநூறுபேர்.

40 Of the children of Asher, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;ஆசேர் புத்திரருடைய பிதாக்களின் வீட்டு வம்சத்தாரில் இருபது வயதுள்ளவர்கள் முதல் யுத்தத்திற்குப் புறப்படத்தக்க புருஷர்கள் எல்லாரும் எண்ணப்பட்டபோது,

41 Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Asher, were forty and one thousand and five hundred.ஆசேர் கோத்திரத்தில் எண்ணப்பட்டவர்கள், நாற்பத்தோராயிரத்து ஐந்நூறுபேர்.

42 Of the children of Naphtali, throughout their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;நப்தலி புத்திரருடைய பிதாக்களின் வீட்டு வம்சத்தாரில் இருபது வயதுள்ளவர்கள் முதல் யுத்தத்திற்குப் புறப்படத்தக்க புருஷர்கள் எல்லாரும் எண்ணப்பட்டபோது,

43 Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Naphtali, were fifty and three thousand and four hundred.நப்தலி கோத்திரத்தில் எண்ணப்பட்டவர்கள், ஐம்பத்து மூவாயிரத்து நானூறுபேர்.

44 These are those that were numbered, which Moses and Aaron numbered, and the princes of Israel, being twelve men: each one was for the house of his fathers.எண்ணப்பட்டவர்கள் இவர்களே; மோசேயும் ஆரோனும் இஸ்ரவேலுடைய பிதாக்களின் வம்சத்தில் ஒவ்வொரு வம்சத்துக்கு ஒவ்வொரு பிரபுவாகிய பன்னிரண்டுபேரும் எண்ணினார்கள்.

45 So were all those that were numbered of the children of Israel, by the house of their fathers, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war in Israel;இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருடைய பிதாக்களின் வம்சத்தில் இருபது வயதுள்ளவர்கள்முதல், இஸ்ரவேலில் யுத்தத்திற்குப் புறப்படத்தக்கவர்களாகிய எண்ணப்பட்ட பேர்கள் எல்லாரும்,

46 Even all they that were numbered were six hundred thousand and three thousand and five hundred and fifty.ஆறுலட்சத்து மூவாயிரத்து ஐந்நூற்று ஐம்பது பேராயிருந்தார்கள்.

47 But the Levites after the tribe of their fathers were not numbered among them.லேவியர் தங்கள் பிதாக்களுடைய கோத்திரத்தின்படியே, மற்றவர்களுடனே எண்ணப்படவில்லை.

48 For the LORD had spoken unto Moses, saying,கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி:

49 Only thou shalt not number the tribe of Levi, neither take the sum of them among the children of Israel:நீ லேவி கோத்திரத்தாரைமாத்திரம் எண்ணாமலும், இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருக்குள்ளே அவர்கள் தொகையை ஏற்றாமலும்,

50 But thou shalt appoint the Levites over the tabernacle of testimony, and over all the vessels thereof, and over all things that belong to it: they shall bear the tabernacle, and all the vessels thereof; and they shall minister unto it, and shall encamp round about the tabernacle.லேவியரைச் சாட்சியின் வாசஸ்தலத்திற்கும், அதினுடைய சகல பணிமுட்டுகளுக்கும், அதிலுள்ள சமஸ்த பொருள்களுக்கும் விசாரிப்புக்காரராக ஏற்படுத்து; அவர்கள் வாசஸ்தலத்தையும் அதின் சகல பணிமுட்டுகளையும் சுமப்பார்களாக; அதினிடத்தில் ஊழியம்செய்து, வாசஸ்தலத்தைச் சுற்றிலும் பாளயமிறங்கக்கடவர்கள்.

51 And when the tabernacle setteth forward, the Levites shall take it down: and when the tabernacle is to be pitched, the Levites shall set it up: and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death.வாசஸ்தலம் புறப்படும்போது, லேவியர் அதை இறக்கிவைத்து, அது ஸ்தாபனம் பண்ணப்படும்போது, லேவியர் அதை எடுத்து நிறுத்தக்கடவர்கள்; அந்நியன் அதற்குச் சமீபத்தில் வந்தால் கொலைசெய்யப்படக்கடவன்.

52 And the children of Israel shall pitch their tents, every man by his own camp, and every man by his own standard, throughout their hosts.இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் தங்கள் தங்கள் பாளயத்தோடும், தங்கள் தங்கள் சேனையின் கொடியோடும் கூடாரம் போடக்கடவர்கள்.

53 But the Levites shall pitch round about the tabernacle of testimony, that there be no wrath upon the congregation of the children of Israel: and the Levites shall keep the charge of the tabernacle of testimony.இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரராகிய சபையின்மேல் கடுங்கோபம் வராதபடிக்கு லேவியர் சாட்சியின் வாசஸ்தலத்தைச் சுற்றிலும் பாளயமிறங்கி, லேவியர் சாட்சியின் வாசஸ்தலத்தைக் காவல்காப்பார்களாக என்றார்.

54 And the children of Israel did according to all that the LORD commanded Moses, so did they.கர்த்தர் மோசேக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடி எல்லாவற்றையும் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் செய்தார்கள்.
