1 Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wildernessਯਿਸੂ ਦਾ ਸ਼ੈਤਾਨ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਪਰਤਾਇਆ ਜਾਣਾ ਯਿਸੂ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਹੋਕੇ ਯਰਦਨ ਨਦੀ ਤੋਂ ਮੁੜਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਆਤਮਾ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਜਾੜ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੈ ਗਿਆ।

2 for forty days, being tempted by the devil. He ate nothing in those days. Afterward, when they were completed, he was hungry.ਉੱਥੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ੈਤਾਨ ਨੇ ਚਾਲੀ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਪਰੱਖਿਆ, ਅਤੇ ਉਨੇ ਦਿਨ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਕੁਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਖਾਧਾ। ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਸਮਾਂ ਖਤਮ ਹੋਇਆ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਬੜੀ ਭੁੱਖ ਲੱਗੀ।

3 The devil said to him, "If you are the Son of God, command this stone to become bread."ਸ਼ੈਤਾਨ ਨੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਜੇਕਰ ਤੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਇਸ ਪੱਥਰ ਨੂੰ ਆਖ ਕਿ ਰੋਟੀ ਬਣ ਜਾਵੇ।”

4 Jesus answered him, saying, "It is written, 'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.'"ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ, “ਇਹ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ: ‘ਇਹ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਰੋਟੀ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਉਂਦਾ ਰੱਖਦੀ ਹੈ।’”

5 The devil, leading him up on a high mountain, showed him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.ਫ਼ਿਰ ਸ਼ੈਤਾਨ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਉੱਚੇ ਪਹਾੜ ਤੇ ਲੈ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਪਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਤਮਾਮ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀਆਂ ਵਿਖਾਈਆਂ।

6 The devil said to him, "I will give you all this authority, and their glory, for it has been delivered to me; and I give it to whomever I want.ਸ਼ੈਤਾਨ ਨੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਮੈਂ ਇਹ ਤਮਾਮ ਰਾਜਾਂ ਦਾ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਸਭ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਇਹ ਤਾਕਤ ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹਾਂ।

7 If you therefore will worship before me, it will all be yours."ਅਤੇ ਜੇਕਰ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਤੇ ਡਿੱਗ ਮੇਰੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕਰੇਂ ਮੈਂ ਇਹ ਸਭ ਰਾਜ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।”

8 Jesus answered him, "Get behind me Satan! For it is written, 'You shall worship the Lord your God, and him only shall you serve.'"ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ, “ਇਹ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਪੋਥੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ: ‘ਤੈਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤੇਰੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਇੱਕਲੇ ਦੀ ਹੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰ।’”

9 He led him to Jerusalem, and set him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to him, "If you are the Son of God, cast yourself down from here,ਤਦ ਸ਼ੈਤਾਨ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੈ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਚੇ ਸਥਾਨ ਤੇ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਜੇਕਰ ਤੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹੈਂ, ਤਾਂ ਇੱਥੋਂ ਥੱਲੇ ਕੁੱਦ ਜਾ।

10 for it is written, 'He will give his angels charge concerning you, to guard you;'ਇਹ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਪੋਥੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ: ‘ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਤੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੂਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਧਿਆਨ ਨਾਲ ਤੇਰੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ।’

11 and, 'On their hands they will bear you up, Lest perhaps you dash your foot against a stone.'"ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ! ‘ਉਹ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੋਚ ਲੈਣਗੇ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਪੱਥਰ ਨਾਲ ਤੇਰੇ ਪੈਰ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਟ ਨਾ ਲੱਗੇ।’”

12 Jesus answering, said to him, "It has been said, 'You shall not tempt the Lord your God.'"ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ, “ਪਰ ਪੋਥੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ: ‘ਤੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਪਰਤਾ।’”

13 When the devil had completed every temptation, he departed from him until another time.ਤਾਂ ਸ਼ੈਤਾਨ ਜਦੋਂ ਸਾਰਾ ਪਰਤਾਵਾ ਕਰ ਚੁੱਕਾ ਤਾਂ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਚੰਗੇ ਵਕਤ ਦੀ ਉਡੀਕ ਕਰਦਾ ਉਸ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਚੱਲਾ ਗਿਆ।

14 Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee, and news about him spread through all the surrounding area.ਯਿਸੂ ਦਾ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇਣਾ ਯਿਸੂ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਗਲੀਲ ਨੂੰ ਵਾਪਸ ਆਇਆ, ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਦੇ ਹਰ ਪਾਸੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਕੀਰਤੀ ਫ਼ੈਲ ਗਈ।

15 He taught in their synagogues, being glorified by all.ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਸਥਾਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇਣੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ। ਹਰੇਕ ਨੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਉਸਤਤਿ ਕੀਤੀ।

16 He came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up. He entered, as was his custom, into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read.ਯਿਸੂ ਦਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਗਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਣਾ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਯਿਸੂ ਨਾਸਰਤ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਇਆ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਹ ਵੱਡਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਸਬਤ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਤੇ ਗਿਆ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਸੀ ਉਵੇ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਪੜ੍ਹਨ ਲਈ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।

17 The book of the prophet Isaiah was handed to him. He opened the book, and found the place where it was written,ਯਸਾਯਾਹ ਨਬੀ ਦੀ ਪੋਥੀ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਪੋਥੀ ਖੋਲ੍ਹਕੇ ਉਹ ਸਫ਼ਾ ਕੱਢਿਆ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਇਹ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ:

18 "The Spirit of the Lord is on me, Because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim release to the captives, Recovering of sight to the blind, To deliver those who are crushed,“ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਆਤਮਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਗਰੀਬਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਮਸਹ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕੈਦੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਐਲਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਮੁਕਤ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਨ੍ਹਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਵਾਪਸ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਸਤਾਏ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਤਿਆਚਾਰੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਮੁਕਤ ਕਰਾਉਣ ਲਈ,

19 And to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord."ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਦਾ ਐਲਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਨਿਯੁਕਤ ਸਮਾਂ ਨੇੜੇ ਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।”

20 He closed the book, gave it back to the attendant, and sat down. The eyes of all in the synagogue were fastened on him.ਫ਼ਿਰ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਪੁਸਤਕ ਬੰਦ ਕਰਕੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਥੱਲੇ ਬੈਠ ਗਿਆ। ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਰ ਇੱਕ ਦੀ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਉਸਤੇ ਜੰਮ ਗਈ।

21 He began to tell them, "Today, this Scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing."ਫ਼ਿਰ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਣਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤਾ, ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਜਿਹੜਾ ਅਗੰਮੀ ਵਾਕ ਹੁਣੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਪੋਥੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਹੈ, ਹੁਣ ਪੂਰਣ ਹੈ।”

22 All testified about him, and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth, and they said, "Isn't this Joseph's son?"ਸਭ ਲੋਕ ਉਸਦੀ ਉਸਤਤਿ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮੂਹੋਂ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਸੁਣਕੇ ਸਭ ਲੋਕ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਸਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਉਹ ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ, ਕਿਵੇਂ ਬੋਲ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ? ਕੀ ਭਲਾ ਇਹ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨਹੀਂ?”

23 He said to them, "Doubtless you will tell me this parable, 'Physician, heal yourself! Whatever we have heard done at Capernaum, do also here in your hometown.'"ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਹ ਕਹਾਵਤ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਲਾਗੂ ਕਰੋਂਗੇ ਕਿ ‘ਹੇ ਵੈਦ! ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਜੀ ਕਰ।’ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਤੂੰ ਕਫ਼ਰਨਾਹੂਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ‘ਅਸੀਂ ਉਹ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਇੱਥੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਗਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਕਰ!’”

24 He said, "Most assuredly I tell you, no prophet is acceptable in his hometown.ਤਦ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸੱਚ ਆਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਨਬੀ ਕਦੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਗਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰਵਾਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ।

25 But truly I tell you, there were many widows in Israel in the days of Elijah, when the sky was shut up three years and six months, when a great famine came over all the land.“ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਆਖ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ ਉਹ ਸੱਚ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਏਲੀਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਸਾਢੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਮੀਂਹ ਨਾ ਪਿਆ। ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕਾਲ ਪਿਆ ਕਿ, ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਉੱਥੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਵਿਧਵਾਵਾਂ ਸਨ।

26 Elijah was sent to none of them, except to Zarephath, in the land of Sidon, to a woman who was a widow.ਪਰ ਏਲੀਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਵਿਧਵਾ ਕੋਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਗਿਆ। ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੈਦਾ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਦੇ ਨਗਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਸਰਿਪਥ ਦੀ ਵਿਧਵਾ ਕੋਲ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।

27 There were many lepers in Israel in the time of Elisha the prophet, yet not one of them was cleansed, except Naaman, the Syrian."“ਅਤੇ ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਨਬੀ ਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਕੋੜ੍ਹੀ ਸਨ, ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸੀਰਿਆ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਨਾਮਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਕੋੜ੍ਹੀ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਜੀ ਨਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।”

28 They were all filled with wrath in the synagogue, as they heard these things.ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੈਠੇ ਤਮਾਮ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਸਭ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਸੁਣੀਆਂ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਬੜੇ ਗੁੱਸੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਏ।

29 They rose up, threw him out of the city, and led him to the brow of the hill that their city was built on, that they might throw him off the cliff.ਉਹ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਹੋਏ ਅਤੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਨਗਰੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੱਢਿਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸਦਾ ਪਹਾੜੀ ਦੀ ਟਿਸੀ ਤੱਕ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਗਰ ਉਸਾਰਿਆ ਸੀ, ਪਿੱਛਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਖੜ੍ਹੀ ਚੱਟਾਨ ਤੋਂ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਸੁੱਟ ਸੱਕਣ।

30 But he, passing through the midst of them, went his way.ਪਰ ਯਿਸੂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਦੀ ਲੰਘਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਰਾਹ ਚੱਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ।

31 He came down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee. He was teaching them on the Sabbath day,ਯਿਸੂ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਠੀਕ ਕਰਨਾ ਜਿਸ ਅੰਦਰ ਪ੍ਰੇਤ ਆਤਮਾ ਸੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਗਲੀਲ ਦੇ ਕਫ਼ਰਨਾਹੂਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹੁੰਚਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸਬਤ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇਣਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

32 and they were astonished at his teaching, for his word was with authority.ਲੋਕ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਤੇ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਬੋਲਿਆ।

33 In the synagogue there was a man who had a spirit of an unclean demon, and he cried out with a loud voice,ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸੀ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਭਰਿਸ਼ਟ ਆਤਮਾ ਚਿੰਬੜਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ, ਉਹ ਆਦਮੀ ਉੱਚੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੀਕਿਆ,

34 saying, "Ah! what have we to do with you, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know you who you are: the Holy One of God!"“ਹੇ ਨਾਸਰਤ ਦੇ ਯਿਸੂ! ਤੇਰਾ ਸਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਕੀ ਕੰਮ? ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਇੱਥੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰਨ ਆਇਆ ਹੈਂ? ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਕੌਣ ਹੈਂ ਤੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਪੁਰੱਖ ਹੈਂ।”

35 Jesus rebuked him, saying, "Be silent, and come out of him!" When the demon had thrown him down in their midst, he came out of him, having done him no harm.ਪਰ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕਕੇ ਤਾੜਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਚੁੱਪ ਕਰ! ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਨਿਕਲ ਜਾ।” ਭਰਿਸ਼ਟ ਆਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਠਾਹ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਤੇ ਪਟਕਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਭਰਿਸ਼ਟ ਆਤਮਾ ਬਿਨਾ ਉਸ ਆਦਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਟ ਪਹੁੰਚਾਏ ਉਸ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਨਿਕਲ ਗਿਆ।

36 Amazement came on all, and they spoke together, one with another, saying, "What is this word? For with authority and power he commands the unclean spirits, and they come out!"ਲੋਕ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਹੋਏ ਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਕਹਿਣ ਲੱਗੇ, “ਇਹ ਕਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਹਨ? ਕਿ ਉਹ ਭਰਿਸ਼ਟ ਆਤਮਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਬਾਹਰ ਆ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।”

37 News about him went out into every place of the surrounding region.ਉਸ ਖੇਤ੍ਰ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਯਿਸੂ ਬਾਰੇ ਖਬਰ ਫ਼ੈਲਣੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।

38 He rose up from the synagogue, and entered into Simon's house. Simon's mother-in-law was afflicted with a great fever, and they begged him for her.ਯਿਸੂ ਦਾ ਪਤਰਸ ਦੀ ਮਾਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਜੀ ਕਰਨਾ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਠ ਕੇ ਸ਼ਮਊਨ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਗਿਆ। ਸ਼ਮਊਨ ਦੀ ਸੱਸ ਬੜੀ ਬਿਮਾਰ ਸੀ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਬੜਾ ਤੇਜ ਬੁਖਾਰ ਸੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕਿਹਾ।

39 He stood over her, and rebuked the fever; and it left her. Immediately she rose up and served them.ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਬਿਸਤਰੇ ਦੇ ਨਜ਼ਦੀਕ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਹੋਕੇ ਬੁਖਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਝਿੜਕਿਆ। ਬੁਖਾਰ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਹ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਹੀ ਖੜ੍ਹੀ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗ ਪਈ।

40 When the sun was setting, all those who had any sick with various diseases brought them to him; and he laid his hands on every one of them, and healed them.ਯਿਸੂ ਦਾ ਹੋਰ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਜੀ ਕਰਨਾ ਸੂਰਜ ਡੁੱਬਣ ਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਬਿਮਾਰ ਲੋਕ, ਭਿੰਨ-ਭਿੰਨ ਬਿਮਾਰੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਪੀੜਿਤ ਸਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਯਿਸੂ ਕੋਲ ਲਿਆਏ। ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਹਰ ਇੱਕ ਉੱਪਰ ਆਪਣਾ ਹੱਥ ਰੱਖਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਰੋਗ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

41 Demons also came out from many, crying out, and saying, "You are the Christ, the Son of God!" Rebuking them, he didn't allow them to speak, because they knew that he was the Christ.ਕਈ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਭੂਤ ਰੌਲਾ ਪਾਉਂਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਬਾਹਰ ਨਿਕਲੇ, “ਤੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹੈਂ” ਪਰ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਝਿੜਕਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੋਲਣ ਨਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਸਨ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਹੀ ਮਸੀਹ ਸੀ।

42 When it was day, he departed and went into an uninhabited place, and the multitudes looked for him, and came to him, and held on to him, so that he wouldn't go away from them.ਯਿਸੂ ਦਾ ਹੋਰ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਣਾ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਦਿਨ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋਇਆ, ਯਿਸੂ ਉਹ ਥਾਂ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਇੱਕ ਇੱਕਾਂਤ ਥਾਂ ਤੇ ਚੱਲਾ ਗਿਆ ਪਰ ਭੀੜ ਉਸਦੀ ਭਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਆਖਿਰ ਰਾਤ ਵੇਲੇ ਉਸ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਗਈ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਹ ਸੀ। ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਉੱਥੋਂ ਨਾ ਜਾਵੇ।

43 But he said to them, "I must preach the good news of the Kingdom of God to the other cities also. For this reason I have been sent."ਪਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ ਦੀ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਹੋਰ ਨਗਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਜਾਣਾ ਹੈ। ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਇਸੇ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਲਈ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹਾਂ।”

44 He was preaching in the synagogues of Galilee.ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਯਹੂਦਿਯਾ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਸਥਾਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਕਰਨਾ ਜਾਰੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ।
