Psalm 40 - BBE (Punjabi)

1 <To the chief music-maker. Of David. A Psalm.> When I was waiting quietly for the Lord, his heart was turned to me, and he gave ear to my cry.ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ਕ ਲਈ : ਦਾਊਦ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਗੀਤ। ਮੈਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਪੁਕਾਰਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਪੁਕਾਰ ਸੁਣੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਚੀਕਾਂ ਸੁਣੀਆਂ।

2 He took me up out of a deep waste place, out of the soft and sticky earth; he put my feet on a rock, and made my steps certain.ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕਬਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾ ਲਿਆ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਚਿੱਕੜ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਉਤਾਹਾਂ ਚੁੱਕਿਆ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਚੁੱਕਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਠੋਸ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਸਥਾਪਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪੈਰ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਲਕਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾਇਆ।

3 And he put a new song in my mouth, even praise to our God; numbers have seen it with fear, and put their faith in the Lord.ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਨਵਾਂ ਗੀਤ ਪਾਇਆ। ਮੇਰੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਉਸਤਤਿ ਦਾ ਗੀਤ। ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਗਵਾਹੀ ਦੇਣਗੇ ਕਿ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਕੀ ਵਾਪਰਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕਰਨਗੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।

4 Happy is the man who has faith in the Lord, and does not give honour to the men of pride or to those who are turned away to deceit.ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੀ ਆਸਥਾ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਖੁਸ਼ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਉਹ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਖੁਸ਼ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਜੋ ਮਦਦ ਲਈ ਭੂਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਝੂਠੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਵੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਤੱਕਦਾ।

5 O Lord my God, great are the wonders which you have done in your thought for us; it is not possible to put them out in order before you; when I would give an account of them, their number is greater than I may say.ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਸਾਡੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਅਦਭੁਤ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਸਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਤੁਹਾਡੀਆਂ ਅਦਭੁਤ ਯੋਜਨਾਵਾਂ ਹਨ। ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਦਾ। ਮੈਂ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਬਾਰ-ਬਾਰ ਦੱਸਾਂਗਾ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਬਾਹਰੀਆਂ ਹਨ।

6 You had no desire for offerings of beasts or fruits of the earth; ears you made for me: for burned offerings and sin offerings you made no request.ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਹੀ ਸਮਝਾਇਆ; ਅਸਲ ਵਿੱਚ, ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਨ੍ਹ ਦੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਵੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਚਾਹੀਦੇ। ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਹੋਮ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਪ ਦੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਵੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਚਾਹੀਦੇ।

7 Then I said, See, I come; it is recorded of me in the roll of the book,ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ ਇੱਥੇ ਹਾਂ। ਮੈਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਜਾਉ। ਮੈਂ ਆ ਰਿਹਾ। ਮੇਰੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਪੁਸਤਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।

8 My delight is to do your pleasure, O my God; truly, your law is in my heart.ਮੇਰੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਮੈਂ ਉਹੀ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਜੋ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹੋ। ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੀਆਂ ਸਿੱਖਿਆਵਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਵਾਕਿਫ਼ ਹਾਂ।”

9 I have given news of righteousness in the great meeting; O Lord, you have knowledge that I have not kept back my words.ਮੈਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਹਾਂ ਸਭਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੇਰੀ ਜਿੱਤ ਬਾਰੇ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਦੱਸੀ। ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹੋ, ਮੈਂ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਉਹ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਦੇਣ ਤੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਰੁਕਾਂਗਾ।

10 Your righteousness has not been folded away in my heart; I have made clear your true word and your salvation; I have not kept secret your mercy or your faith from the great meeting.ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀਆਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਚੰਗੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ। ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿਲ ਅੰਦਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਛੁਪਾਇਆ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਮੈਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਬਚਾਉ ਲਈ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਉੱਪਰ ਨਿਰਭਰ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਦੇ ਹਨ। ਮੈਂ ਸਭਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਨਿਸ਼ਠਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਸੱਚਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੁਕੋਇਆ।

11 Take not away your gentle mercies from me, O Lord; let your mercy and your faith keep me safe for ever.ਇਸ ਲਈ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਮੇਰੇ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਰਹਮ ਨਾ ਛੁਪਾਉ। ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਦਯਾ ਅਤੇ ਵਫ਼ਾਦਾਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰਨ ਦਿਉ।

12 For unnumbered evils are round about me; my sins have overtaken me, so that I am bent down with their weight; they are more than the hairs of my head, my strength is gone because of them.ਬੁਰੇ ਲੋਕੀਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਘੇਰੀ ਬੈਠੇ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਬੇਸ਼ੁਮਾਰ ਹੈ। ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਗੁਨਾਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਫ਼ੜ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਚ ਸੱਕਦਾ। ਉਹ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਿਰ ਦੇ ਵਾਲਾਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੀ ਵੱਧ ਹਨ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਹੌਂਸਲਾ ਹਾਰ ਗਿਆ ਹਾਂ।

13 Be pleased, O Lord, to take me out of danger; O Lord, come quickly and give me help.ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਨੱਸੱਕੇ ਆਉ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਬਚਾ ਲਵੋ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਛੇਤੀ ਆਉ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰੋ।

14 Let those who go after my soul for its destruction have shame and trouble together; let them be turned back and made foolish who take pleasure in my trouble.ਉਹ ਮੰਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਨ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਰਮਸਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਉੱਮੀਦ ਕਰੋ। ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦੁੱਖ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਰਮਸਾਰ ਹੋਕੇ ਭੱਜ ਜਾਣ ਦਿਉ।

15 Let those who say to me, Aha, aha! be surprised because of their shame.ਉਹ ਮੰਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਜ਼ਾਕ ਉਡਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੋਲਣ ਤੋਂ ਵੀ ਸੰਗਾਉ।

16 Let all those who are looking for you be glad and have joy in you; let the lovers of your salvation ever say, May the Lord be great.ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ, ਜਿਹੜੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਅਤੇ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਨਾਉਣ ਦਿਉ। ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਬਚਾਏ ਜਾਣ ਨੂੰ ਪਸੰਦ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਆਖਣ ਦਿਉ, “ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਉਸਤਤਿ ਕਰੋ।”

17 Though I am poor and in need, the Lord has me in mind; you are my help and my saviour; let there be no waiting, O my God.ਮਾਲਕ, ਮੈਂ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਇੱਕ ਕੰਗਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਬੇਸਹਾਰਾ ਬੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਮੇਰੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰੋ। ਮੈਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਉ। ਮੇਰੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਬਹੁਤ ਦੇਰੀ ਨਾ ਲਾਵੋ।
