Proverbs 2 - YLT (Punjabi)

1 My son, if thou dost accept my sayings, And my commands dost lay up with thee,ਸਿਆਣਪ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਸੁਣੋ ਮੇਰੇ ਬੇਟੇ, ਜੇਕਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣੋਗੇ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਆਖਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ, ਅਤੇ ਜੇਕਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਹੁਕਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖੋਂਗੇ।

2 To cause thine ear to attend to wisdom, Thou inclinest thy heart to understanding,ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਵੱਲ ਧਿਆਨ ਦੇਵੋਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਦਾਰੀ ਵੱਲ ਲਾਵੋ।

3 For, if for intelligence thou callest, For understanding givest forth thy voice,ਅਸਲ ਵਿੱਚ, ਜੇਕਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਅੰਤਰਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਲਈ ਪੁਕਾਰ ਕਰੋ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਝਦਾਰੀ ਲਈ ਪੁਕਾਰੋ।

4 If thou dost seek her as silver, And as hid treasures searchest for her,ਅਤੇ ਜੇਕਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਨੂੰ ਇੰਝ ਲੱਭੋਂਗੇ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕੋਈ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜੇਕਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਸ ਦੀ ਇੰਝ ਭਾਲ ਕਰੋ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਲੋਕੀਂ ਲੁਕੇ ਹੋਏ ਖਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਨੂੰ ਭਾਲਦੇ ਹਨ

5 Then understandest thou fear of Jehovah, And knowledge of God thou findest.ਫ਼ੇਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਮਝੋਂਗੇ ਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਡਰਨ ਦਾ ਭਾਵ ਕੀ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣ ਜਾਵੋ।

6 For Jehovah giveth wisdom, From His mouth knowledge and understanding.ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਹੀ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਗਿਆਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਝਦਾਰੀ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਚੋਂ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ।

7 Even to lay up for the upright substance, A shield for those walking uprightly.ਉਹ ਇਮਾਨਦਾਰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਸਫ਼ਲਤਾ ਸੰਭਾਲਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਈ ਢਾਲ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਨਿਰਦੋਸ਼ ਹੋਕੇ ਜਿਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।

8 To keep the paths of judgment, And the way of His saints He preserveth.ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਹੋਰਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਭਲਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਾਖੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।

9 Then understandest thou righteousness, And judgment, and uprightness -- every good path.ਜੇਕਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਨੂੰ ਭਾਲੋਂਗੇ, ਤਦ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਧਰਮ, ਨਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਇਮਾਨਦਾਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝੋਂਗੇ — ਦੂਸਰੇ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਭ ਚੰਗੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਸਮਝੋਂਗੇ।

10 For wisdom cometh into thy heart, And knowledge to thy soul is pleasant,ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਦਿਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਆ ਵੱਸੇਗੀ, ਅਤੇ ਗਿਆਨ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਖੁਸ਼ ਕਰੇਗਾ।

11 Thoughtfulness doth watch over thee, Understanding doth keep thee,ਸਮਝਦਾਰੀ (ਸਹੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਢੰਗ ਚੁਨਣਾ) ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰੇਗੀ, ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਸਮਝਦਾਰੀ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਬਚਾਉ ਕਰੇਗੀ।

12 To deliver thee from an evil way, From any speaking froward things,ਸਿਆਣਪ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਬੁਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾਵੇਗੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਜੋ ਵਿਦ੍ਰੋਹ ਬਾਰੇ ਬੋਲਦੇ ਹਨ।

13 Who are forsaking paths of uprightness, To walk in ways of darkness,ਜਿਹੜੇ ਲੋਕ ਅੰਧਕਾਰ ਵਿੱਚਲੇ ਰਾਹਾਂ ਤੇ ਚੱਲਣ ਲਈ ਸਿੱਧੇ ਰਾਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ,

14 Who are rejoicing to do evil, They delight in frowardness of the wicked,ਜਿਹੜੇ ਲੋਕ ਗ਼ਲਤ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਕੇ ਖੁਸ਼ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਦ੍ਰੋਹ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਬਦੀ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣਦੇ ਹਨ।

15 Whose paths `are' crooked, Yea, they are perverted in their ways.ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਹ ਵਿੰਗੇ-ਤੜਿੰਗੇ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਰਾਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਸੰਗਤ ਹਨ।

16 To deliver thee from the strange woman, From the stranger who hath made smooth her sayings,ਸਿਆਣਪ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਪਰਾਈ ਔਰਤ, ਇੱਕ ਅਜਨਬੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾਵੇਗੀ ਜੋ ਇੰਨੀਆਂ ਮਿੱਠੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ।

17 Who is forsaking the guide of her youth, And the covenant of her God hath forgotten.ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਜਵਾਨੀ ਦੇ ਸਾਥੀ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਗ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਅੱਗੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਇਕਰਾਰਨਾਮੇ ਨੂੰ ਭੁੱਲ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।

18 For her house hath inclined unto death, And unto Rephaim her paths.ਅਤੇ ਹੁਣ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਜਾਣਾ ਮੌਤ ਦਾ ਰਾਹ ਹੈ! ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਰਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਮੁਰਦਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੈ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ!

19 None going in unto her turn back, Nor do they reach the paths of life.ਉਹ ਖੁਦ ਵੀ ਕਬਰ ਦੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੀ ਹੈ। ਜਿਹੜੇ ਲੋਕੀ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਆਪਣੀ ਜਾਨ ਗਵਾ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਪਰਤ ਕੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦੇ।

20 That thou dost go in the way of the good, And the paths of the righteous dost keep.ਸਿਆਣਪ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਚੰਗੇ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਹ ਤੇ ਚਲਣ ਲਈ, ਅਤੇ ਧਰਮੀ ਦੇ ਰਾਹਾਂ ਤੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਲਈ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਮਦਦ ਕਰੇਗੀ।

21 For the upright do inhabit the earth, And the perfect are left in it,ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਇਮਾਨਦਾਰ ਲੋਕ ਹੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਰਹਿਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਰਦੋਸ਼ ਲੋਕ ਹੀ ਇਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਬਚਣਗੇ।

22 And the wicked from the earth are cut off, And treacherous dealers plucked out of it!ਪਰ ਦੁਸ਼ਟ ਲੋਕ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਹਟਾਏ ਜਾਣਗੇ, ਅਤੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਘਿਰਣਾ ਯੋਗ ਹਨ ਇਸ ਉਤੋਂ ਉਖਾੜੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ।
