Proverbs 9 - YLT (Punjabi)

1 Wisdom hath builded her house, She hath hewn out her pillars -- seven.ਸਿਆਣਪ ਅਤੇ ਮੂਰੱਖਤਾ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਘਰ ਉਸਾਰਿਆ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਸਦੇ ਸੱਤ ਥੰਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਘੜਿਆ।

2 She hath slaughtered her slaughter, She hath mingled her wine, Yea, she hath arranged her table.ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਮਾਸ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤਾ, ਆਪਣੀ ਮੈਅ ਮਿਲਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਮੇਜ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤਾ।

3 She hath sent forth her damsels, She crieth on the tops of the high places of the city:ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਨੌਕਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਹਰ ਭੇਜ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੀ ਪਹਾੜੀ ਤੋਂ ਪੁਕਾਰਦੀ ਹੈ:

4 `Who `is' simple? let him turn aside hither.' Whoso lacketh heart: she hath said to him,“ਸਿੱਧੇ-ਸਾਧੇ ਲੋਕ ਇੱਥੇ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋ ਜਾਣ”, ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵੱਲ ਮੁਖਾਤਬ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਜਿੰਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝ ਦੀ ਕਮੀ ਹੈ,

5 `Come, eat of my bread, And drink of the wine I have mingled.“ਆਓ, ਤੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਦਾ ਭੋਜਨ ਛਕੋ। ਤੇ ਉਸ ਮੈਅ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਛਕੋ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ।

6 Forsake ye, the simple, and live, And be happy in the way of understanding.ਆਪਣੇ ਮੂਰਖ ਦੋਸਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਛੱਡ ਦਿਓ, ਫ਼ੇਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਿਉਂਗੇ, ਮਿਹਨਤ ਨਾਲ ਸਮਝਦਾਰੀ ਦੇ ਰਾਹ ਤੇ ਚੱਲੋ।”

7 The instructor of a scorner Is receiving for it -- shame, And a reprover of the wicked -- his blemish.ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਧਾਰਨ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ ਕਰਦਾ ਜੋ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਟਿੱਚਰ ਕਰਦਾ, ਬੇਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇੰਝ ਹੀ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਬੁਰੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਝਿੜਕਦਾ, ਉਹ ਸੱਟ ਖਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

8 Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee, Give reproof to the wise, and he loveth thee.ਉਸ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਝਿੜਕੋ ਜੋ ਦੂਸਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਟਿੱਚਰ ਕਰਦਾ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਨਫ਼ਰਤ ਕਰੇਗਾ, ਪਰ ਜੇਕਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਿਆਣੇ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਝਿੜਕੋਂਗੇ, ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰੇਗਾ।

9 Give to the wise, and he is wiser still, Make known to the righteous, And he increaseth learning.ਕਿਸੇ ਸਿਆਣੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਦੇਵੋ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਹੋਰ ਸਿਆਣਾ ਬਣ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਦੇਵੋਂਗੇ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਆਪਣਾ ਗਿਆਨ ਵੱਧਾਅ ਲਵੇਗਾ।

10 The commencement of wisdom `is' the fear of Jehovah, And a knowledge of the Holy Ones `is' understanding.ਸਿਆਣਪ ਵੱਲ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਕਦਮ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਡਰਨਾ ਹੈ, ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਨਣਾ ਗਿਆਨ ਨੂੰ ਹਾਸਿਲ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੈ।

11 For by me do thy days multiply, And added to thee are years of life.ਮੇਰੇ ਕਾਰਣ, “ਸਿਆਣਪ ਆਖਦੀ ਹੈ”, ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਲ ਵੱਧ ਜਾਣਗੇ।

12 If thou hast been wise, thou hast been wise for thyself, And thou hast scorned -- thyself bearest `it'.ਜੇਕਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਿਆਣੇ ਹੋ, ਇਹ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਹੀ ਹੋ ਜੋ ਫ਼ਾਇਦੇ ’ਚ ਹੋਵੋਂਗੇ, ਅਤੇ ਜੇਕਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮਜਾਕੀਏ ਹੋ, ਇਹ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇੱਕਲੇ ਹੀ ਹੋਵੋਂਗੇ ਜੋ ਭੁਗਤੋਂਗੇ।

13 A foolish woman `is' noisy, Simple, and hath not known what.ਦੂਸਰੀ ਔਰਤ ਦੀ ਮੂਰੱਖਤਾ ਔਰਤ ਦੀ ਮੂਰੱਖਤਾਈ ਸ਼ੋਰ-ਸਰਾਬੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਨਾਵਾਕਫ਼ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਕੁਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੀ।

14 And she hath sat at the opening of her house, On a throne -- the high places of the city,ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਦੇ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਬੈਠੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੀ ਪਹਾੜੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਕੁਰਸੀ ਤੇ ਬੈਠੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ।

15 To call to those passing by the way, Who are going straight `on' their paths.ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਮਾਰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਸਿੱਧੇ ਰਾਹ ਤੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ।

16 `Who `is' simple? let him turn aside hither.' And whoso lacketh heart -- she said to him,ਆਮ ਲੋਕ, “ਇੱਥੇ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋ ਜਾਣ, ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵੱਲ ਮੁਖਾਤਬ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝ ਦੀ ਕਮੀ ਹੈ।

17 `Stolen waters are sweet, And hidden bread is pleasant.'ਚੁਰਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਪਾਣੀ ਮਿੱਠਾ ਹੈ, ਚੁਰਾਈ ਹੋਈ ਰੋਟੀ ਸਵਾਦਿਸ਼ਟ ਹੈ।”

18 And he hath not known that Rephaim `are' there, In deep places of Sheol her invited ones!ਪਰ ਮੂਰਖ ਲੋਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਕਿ ਉਸਦਾ ਘਰ ਭੂਤਾਂ ਲਈ ਹੈ। ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਕਬਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੇਟੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ।
