Proverbs 24 - YLT (Punjabi)

1 Be not envious of evil men, And desire not to be with them.-19- ਬਦ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਹੋੜ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿਣ ਦੀ ਲੋਚਾ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ।

2 For destruction doth their heart meditate, And perverseness do their lips speak.ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਿਲਾਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਬਦੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਯੋਜਨਾਵਾਂ ਬਣਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਮੁਸੀਬਤਾਂ ਖੜੀਆਂ ਕਰਨ ਬਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।

3 By wisdom is a house builded, And by understanding it establisheth itself.-20- ਇੱਕ ਘਰ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਉਸਾਰਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਚੰਗੀ ਸੂਝ ਨਾਲ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।

4 And by knowledge the inner parts are filled, `With' all precious and pleasant wealth.ਅਤੇ ਗਿਆਨ ਕਮਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਯਾਬ ਅਤੇ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਖਜ਼ਾਨਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਭਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।

5 Mighty `is' the wise in strength, And a man of knowledge is strengthening power,-21- ਇੱਕ ਸਿਆਣੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਕੋਲ ਮਹਾਨ ਤਾਕਤ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਗਿਆਨ ਵਾਨ ਆਦਮੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਵੱਧਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

6 For by plans thou makest for thyself war, And deliverance `is' in a multitude of counsellors.ਯੁੱਧ ਲੜਨ ਲਈ, ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਗ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਦੀ ਜਰੂਰਤ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਜਿੱਤਣ ਲਈ, ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤਤਾ ਸਲਾਹਕਾਰ ਚਾਹੀਦੇ ਹਨ।

7 Wisdom `is' high for a fool, In the gate he openeth not his mouth.-22- ਮੂਰਖ ਲਈ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਬਹੁਤ ਪੇਚੀਦਾ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਜਦੋਂ ਲੋਕ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਣ ਮਸਲਿਆਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਗੱਲ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਸ ਕੋਲ ਆਖਣ ਲਈ ਕੁਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ।

8 Whoso is devising to do evil, Him they call a master of wicked thoughts.-23- ਜਿਹੜਾ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੁਕਸਾਨਦੇਹ ਵਿਉਂਤਾਂ ਵਿਉਂਤੇ, ਇੱਕ ਸਾਜਸੀ ਹੀ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।

9 The thought of folly `is' sin, And an abomination to man `is' a scorner.ਇੱਕ ਮੂਰਖ ਆਦਮੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਵਿਉਂਤਾਂ ਪਾਪ ਹੁੰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕੀਂ ਮਖੌਲੀ ਨੂੰ ਨਫ਼ਰਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।

10 Thou hast shewed thyself weak in a day of adversity, Straitened is thy power,-24- ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੁਸੀਬਤ ਵੇਲੇ ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ ਹੋ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ ਹੋ।

11 If `from' delivering those taken to death, And those slipping to the slaughter -- thou keepest back.-25- ਜੇਕਰ ਕੋਈ ਕਿਸੇ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦੇਣ ਦੀ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਬਣਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੋਵੇ, ਤਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ।

12 When thou sayest, `Lo, we knew not this.' Is not the Ponderer of hearts He who understandeth? And the Keeper of thy soul He who knoweth? And He hath rendered to man according to his work.ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਖ ਸੱਕਦੇ, “ਇਹ ਮੇਰਾ ਕੰਮ ਨਹੀਂ।” ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਨਿਗਰਾਨੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਕਰਨੀਆਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਇਨਾਮ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।

13 Eat my son, honey that `is' good, And the honeycomb -- sweet to thy palate.-26- ਮੇਰੇ ਬੇਟੇ, ਸ਼ਹਿਦ ਖਾਓ, ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਚੰਗਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਤਾਜ਼ਾ ਸ਼ਹਿਦ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਿੱਠਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।

14 So `is' the knowledge of wisdom to thy soul, If thou hast found that there is a posterity And thy hope is not cut off.ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੀ ਗਿਆਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਰੂਹ ਲਈ ਮਿੱਠੇ ਹਨ। ਜੇਕਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਿਆਣੇ ਹੋ, ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਉਮੀਦ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ।

15 Lay not wait, O wicked one, At the habitation of the righteous. Do not spoil his resting-place.-27- ਕਿਸੇ ਅਪਰਾਧੀ ਵਾਂਗ, ਧਰਮੀ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਦੇ ਇੰਤਜ਼ਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾ ਰਹੋ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੰਨ੍ਹ ਨਾ ਮਾਰੋ।

16 For seven `times' doth the righteous fall and rise, And the wicked stumble in evil.ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਇੱਕ ਧਰਮੀ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ, ਭਾਵੇਂ ਉਹ ਸੱਤ ਵਾਰੀ ਡਿੱਗ ਪਵੇ, ਆਖਰਕਾਰ ਉੱਠ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਦੁਸ਼ਟ ਲੋਕ ਲੜਖ੍ਹਹਕੇ ਡਿੱਗ ਪੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜਦੋਂ ਮੁਸੀਬਤਾਂ ਆਉਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।

17 In the falling of thine enemy rejoice not, And in his stumbling let not thy heart be joyful,-28- ਆਪਣੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਸੀਬਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੇਖਕੇ ਖੁਸ਼ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੋ। ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਡਿੱਗੇ ਤਾਂ ਖੁਸ਼ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੋ।

18 Lest Jehovah see, and `it be' evil in His eyes, And He hath turned from off him His anger.ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਹੋ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਲਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਸੰਦ ਨਾ ਕਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਹੋ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਉਹ ਆਪਣਾ ਗੁੱਸਾ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣ ਤੋਂ ਹਟਾ ਲਵੇ।

19 Fret not thyself at evil doers, Be not envious at the wicked,-29- ਬਦ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਕਾਰਣ ਪਰੇਸ਼ਾਨ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੋ, ਦੁਸ਼ਟ ਨਾਲ ਈਰਖਾ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ ਆਸ ਰੱਖੋ ਕਿ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਦਲੀਲਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਨਾ ਕਰਨੀ ਪਵੇ।

20 For there is not a posterity to the evil, The lamp of the wicked is extinguished.ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਇੱਕ ਬਦ ਇਨਸਾਨ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ, ਅਤੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਟ ਦਾ ਦੀਵਾ ਬੁਝਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।

21 Fear Jehovah, my son, and the king, With changers mix not up thyself,-30- ਮੇਰੇ ਬੇਟੇ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਤੋਂ ਡਰੋ। ਅਤੇ ਵਿਦਰੋਹੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਸੰਗ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ।

22 For suddenly doth their calamity rise, And the ruin of them both -- who knoweth!ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਤਬਾਹੀ ਬਿਨਾ ਚਿਤਾਵਨੀ ਦਿਤਿਆਂ ਆਵੇਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਕੌਣ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਉਹ ਕਿਸ ਬਿਪਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਝੱਲਣਗੇ।

23 These also are for the wise: -- To discern faces in judgment is not good.ਹੋਰ ਸਿਆਣੇ ਕਹਾਉਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਸਿਆਣੇ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਹਨ: ਨਿਆਂ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਬੇਲਾਗ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਦਾ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਇਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਪੱਖ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੈਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ।

24 Whoso is saying to the wicked, `Thou `art' righteous,' Peoples execrate him -- nations abhor him.ਜਿਹੜਾ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਅਪਰਾਧੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਦਾ, “ਤੂੰ ਬੇਗੁਨਾਹ ਹੈ।” ਅਜਿਹਾ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਸਰਾਪਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਫ਼ਰਤ ਕਰਨਗੀਆਂ।

25 And to those reproving it is pleasant, And on them cometh a good blessing.ਪਰ ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਨਿਆਂਕਾਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਨੂੰ ਦੰਡ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਪਸੰਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਵੱਧੇਰੇ ਅਸੀਸਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰੇਗਾ।

26 Lips he kisseth who is returning straightforward words.ਸਿੱਧਾ ਉੱਤਰ ਦੇਣਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਚੁੰਮਣ ਵਾਂਗ ਹੈ।

27 Prepare in an out-place thy work, And make it ready in the field -- go afterwards, Then thou hast built thy house.ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਬਾਹਰਲਾ ਕੰਮ ਅਤੇ ਖੇਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੰਮ ਕਰ ਲਵੋ, ਤਾਂ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਨਿਰਮਾਣ ਕਰੋ।

28 Be not a witness for nought against thy neighbour, Or thou hast enticed with thy lips.ਬਿਨਾਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਕਾਰਣ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਆਂਢੀ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਗਵਾਹੀ ਨਾ ਦਿਓ, ਆਪਣੇ ਹੀ ਬੁਲ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਛਲ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ।

29 Say not, `As he did to me, so I do to him, I render to each according to his work.'ਇਹ ਨਾ ਆਖੋ, “ਉਸਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦੁੱਖ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਹੀ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਸਦੀ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ।”

30 Near the field of a slothful man I passed by, And near the vineyard of a man lacking heart.ਮੈਂ ਇੱਕ ਆਲਸੀ ਬੰਦੇ ਦੇ ਖੇਤ ਰਾਹੀਂ, ਬਿਨਾਂ ਸੂਝ ਵਾਲੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਦੇ ਅੰਗੂਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਾਗ਼ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਲੰਘਿਆ।

31 And lo, it hath gone up -- all of it -- thorns! Covered its face have nettles, And its stone wall hath been broken down.ਉਹ ਖੇਤ ਕੰਡਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ, ਘਾਹ ਫ਼ੂਸ ਹੱਦੋ ਵੱਧ ਉਗਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਅਤੇ ਚਾਰ ਦੀਵਾਰੀ ਢੱਠੀ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ।

32 And I see -- I -- I do set my heart, I have seen -- I have received instruction,ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਜੋ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਉਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਸੋਚਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਸਬਕ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ:

33 A little sleep -- a little slumber -- A little folding of the hands to lie down.ਥੋੜੀ ਜਿਹੀ ਨੀਂਦ, ਥੋੜੀ ਜਿਹੀ ਝਪਕੀ, ਕੰਮ ਤੋਂ ਥੋੜਾ ਜਿਹਾ ਆਰਾਮ,

34 And thy poverty hath come `as' a traveller, And thy want as an armed man!ਅਤੇ ਇੱਥੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਗਰੀਬ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੋਂਗੇ, ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਰੂਰਤ ਮੰਦ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੋਗੇ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਡਕੈਤ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਲੁੱਟ ਲੇ ਗਏ ਹੋਵੋ।
