ਪਰ ਅਦੋਮ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ, “ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਾਡੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਨਾ ਲੰਘੇ। ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਾਡੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਹੋਕੇ ਗੁਜਰੋਂਗੇ, ਤਾਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਆਕੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਤਲਵਾਰਾ ਨਾਲ ਜੰਗ ਕਰਾਂਗੇ।”
