ਯਰਮਿਆਹ 41:7
ਜਦੋਂ ਹੀ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ, ਇਸ਼ਮਾਏਲ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਦੇ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਡੂੰਘੇ ਹੌਜ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁੱਟਣਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ! ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਸ ਜਾਣਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਇਸ਼ਮਾਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਮਾਰੋ! ਅਸੀਂ ਕੁਝ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਇੱਕ ਖੇਤ ਅੰਦਰ ਛੁਪਾਕੇ ਰੱਖੀਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਹਨ। ਸਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਕਣਕ, ਜੌਂ, ਅਤੇ ਤੇਲ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਦ ਹੈ। ਅਸੀਂ ਉਹ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਦੇਵਾਂਗੇ! ਇਸ ਲਈ ਇਸ਼ਮਾਏਲ ਰੁਕ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਕਤਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ।

midst the	תּ֣וֹךְ	tôk	toke
of the city,	הָעִ֑יר	hāʿîr	ha-EER
Ishmael that	וַיִּשְׁחָטֵ֞ם	wayyišḥāṭēm	va-yeesh-ha-TAME
the son	יִשְׁמָעֵ֤אל	yišmāʿēl	yeesh-ma-ALE
of Nethaniah	בֶּן	ben	ben
slew	נְתַנְיָה֙	nĕtanyāh	neh-tahn-YA
them, and cast them into	אֶל	ʾel	el
the midst	תּ֣וֹךְ	tôk	toke
pit, the of	הַבּ֔וֹר	habbôr	HA-bore
he,	ה֖וּא	hûʾ	hoo
and the men	וְהָאֲנָשִׁ֥ים	wĕhāʾănāšîm	veh-ha-uh-na-SHEEM
that	אֲשֶׁר	ʾăšer	uh-SHER
were with	אִתּֽוֹ׃	ʾittô	ee-toh
