ਪੈਦਾਇਸ਼ 41:1-8

1 And it came to pass at the end of two full years, that Pharaoh dreamed: and, behold, he stood by the river.

2 And, behold, there came up out of the river seven well favoured kine and fatfleshed; and they fed in a meadow.

3 And, behold, seven other kine came up after them out of the river, ill favoured and leanfleshed; and stood by the other kine upon the brink of the river.

4 And the ill favoured and leanfleshed kine did eat up the seven well favoured and fat kine. So Pharaoh awoke.

5 And he slept and dreamed the second time: and, behold, seven ears of corn came up upon one stalk, rank and good.

6 And, behold, seven thin ears and blasted with the east wind sprung up after them.

7 And the seven thin ears devoured the seven rank and full ears. And Pharaoh awoke, and, behold, it was a dream.

8 And it came to pass in the morning that his spirit was troubled; and he sent and called for all the magicians of Egypt, and all the wise men thereof: and Pharaoh told them his dream; but there was none that could interpret them unto Pharaoh.

1 ਫ਼ਿਰਊਨ ਦੇ ਸੁਪਨੇ ਦੋ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਬਾਦ, ਫ਼ਿਰਊਨ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਸੁਪਨਾ ਆਇਆ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸੁਪਨਾ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਨੀਲ ਨਦੀ ਦੇ ਕੰਢੇ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ।
And it came to pass at the end of two full years, that Pharaoh dreamed: and, behold, he stood by the river.

2 ਸੁਪਨੇ ਵਿੱਚ, ਨਦੀ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸੱਤ ਗਊਆਂ ਨਿਕਲੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਖੜ ਕੇ ਘਾਹ ਖਾਣ ਲੱਗੀਆਂ। ਉਹ ਬੜੀਆਂ ਸਿਹਤਮੰਦ ਅਤੇ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਗਊਆਂ ਸਨ।
And, behold, there came up out of the river seven well favoured kine and fatfleshed; and they fed in a meadow.

3 ਫ਼ੇਰ ਸੱਤ ਹੋਰ ਗਊਆਂ ਨਦੀ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਨਿਕਲੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਨਦੀ ਕੰਢੇ ਸਿਹਤਮੰਦ ਗਊਆਂ ਕੋਲ ਖੜੀਆਂ ਹੋ ਗਈਆਂ। ਪਰ ਇਹ ਗਊਆਂ ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ ਅਤੇ ਬਿਮਾਰ ਦਿਖਾਈ ਦਿੰਦੀਆਂ ਸਨ।
And, behold, seven other kine came up after them out of the river, ill favoured and leanfleshed; and stood by the other kine upon the brink of the river.

4 ਸੱਤ ਬਿਮਾਰ ਗਊਆਂ ਸੱਤ ਸਿਹਤਮੰਦ ਗਊਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਖਾ ਗਈਆਂ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਫ਼ਿਰਊਨ ਜਾਗ ਪਿਆ।
And the ill favoured and leanfleshed kine did eat up the seven well favoured and fat kine. So Pharaoh awoke.

5 ਫ਼ਿਰਊਨ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਸੌਣ ਲਈ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਸੁਪਨਾ ਦੇਖਣ ਲੱਗਾ। ਇਸ ਵਾਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸੁਪਨੇ ਵਿੱਚ, ਇੱਕੋ ਗੰਦਲ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਅਨਾਜ ਦੀਆਂ ਸੱਤ ਬੱਲੀਆਂ ਉੱਗਦੀਆਂ ਵੇਖੀਆਂ। ਉਹ ਨਰੋਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਬੱਲੀਆਂ ਸਨ।

6 ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਅਨਾਜ ਦੀਆਂ ਹੋਰ ਸੱਤ ਬੱਲੀਆਂ ਉੱਗਦੀਆਂ ਦੇਖੀਆਂ। ਪਰ ਉਹ ਪਤਲੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਗਰਮ ਹਵਾ ਨਾਲ ਝੁਲਸੀਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਸਨ।
And, behold, seven thin ears and blasted with the east wind sprung up after them.

7 ਅਨਾਜ ਦੀਆਂ ਸੱਤ ਬੱਲੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਚੰਗੇ ਅਨਾਜ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਬੱਲੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਖਾ ਲਿਆ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਫ਼ਿਰਊਨ ਦੁਬਾਰਾ ਜਾਗ ਪਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਤਾਂ ਸੁਪਨਾ ਹੀ ਸੀ।
And the seven thin ears devoured the seven rank and full ears. And Pharaoh awoke, and, behold, it was a dream.

8 ਅਗਲੀ ਸਵੇਰ ਫ਼ਿਰਊਨ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੁਪਨਿਆਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਫ਼ਿਕਰਮੰਦ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮਿਸਰ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਿਆਣੇ ਅਤੇ ਜਾਦੂਗਰ ਬੁਲਾ ਲਏ ਫ਼ਿਰਊਨ ਨੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਸੁਪਨੇ ਸੁਣਾਏ ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਿਆਖਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਿਆ।
And it came to pass in the morning that his spirit was troubled; and he sent and called for all the magicians of Egypt, and all the wise men thereof: and Pharaoh told them his dream; but there was none that could interpret them unto Pharaoh.
