ਖ਼ਰੋਜ 2:7
ਬੱਚੇ ਦੀ ਭੈਣ ਨੇ ਖਢ਼ੀ ਹੋਕੇ ਫ਼ਿਰਊਨ ਦੀ ਧੀ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ, “ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈਂ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਇਬਰਾਨੀ ਔਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭਕੇ ਲਿਆਵਾਂ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਬੱਚੇ ਨੂੰ ਦੁੱਧ ਚੁਂਘਾ ਸੱਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਦੀ ਦੇਖ-ਭਾਲ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰ ਸੱਕੇ?”

Then said	וַתֹּ֣אמֶר	wattōʾmer	va-TOH-mer
his sister	אֲחֹתוֹ֮	ʾăḥōtô	uh-hoh-TOH
to	אֶל	ʾel	el
Pharaoh's	בַּת	bat	baht
daughter,	פַּרְעֹה֒	parʿōh	pahr-OH
go I Shall	הַֽאֵלֵ֗ךְ	haʾēlēk	ha-ay-LAKE
and call	וְקָרָ֤אתִי	wĕqārāʾtî	veh-ka-RA-tee
nurse a thee to	לָךְ֙	lok	loke
of	אִשָּׁ֣ה	ʾiššâ	ee-SHA
the Hebrew	מֵינֶ֔קֶת	mêneqet	may-NEH-ket
women,	מִ֖ן	min	meen
nurse may she that	הָֽעִבְרִיֹּ֑ת	hāʿibriyyōt	ha-eev-ree-YOTE
	וְתֵינִ֥ק	wĕtêniq	veh-tay-NEEK
the child	לָ֖ךְ	lāk	lahk
for thee?	אֶת	ʾet	et
	הַיָּֽלֶד׃	hayyāled	ha-YA-led
