וַיְהִ֥י the vai-HEE כָל whole hahl הָאָ֖רֶץ earth ha-AH-rets שָׂפָ֣ה was sa-FA אֶחָ֑ת of eh-HAHT וּדְבָרִ֖ים one oo-deh-va-REEM אֲחָדִֽים׃ language, uh-ha-DEEM -
וַיְהִ֖י it vai-HEE בְּנָסְעָ֣ם came beh-nose-AM מִקֶּ֑דֶם to mee-KEH-dem וַֽיִּמְצְא֥וּ pass, va-yeem-tseh-OO בִקְעָ֛ה as veek-AH בְּאֶ֥רֶץ they beh-EH-rets שִׁנְעָ֖ר journeyed sheen-AR וַיֵּ֥שְׁבוּ from va-YAY-sheh-voo שָֽׁם׃ the shahm -
וַיֹּֽאמְר֞וּ they va-yoh-meh-ROO אִ֣ישׁ said eesh אֶל one el רֵעֵ֗הוּ to ray-A-hoo הָ֚בָה another, HA-va נִלְבְּנָ֣ה Go neel-beh-NA לְבֵנִ֔ים to, leh-vay-NEEM וְנִשְׂרְפָ֖ה let veh-nees-reh-FA לִשְׂרֵפָ֑ה us lees-ray-FA וַתְּהִ֨י make va-teh-HEE לָהֶ֤ם brick, la-HEM הַלְּבֵנָה֙ and ha-leh-vay-NA לְאָ֔בֶן burn leh-AH-ven וְהַ֣חֵמָ֔ר them veh-HA-hay-MAHR הָיָ֥ה throughly. ha-YA לָהֶ֖ם And la-HEM לַחֹֽמֶר׃ they la-HOH-mer -
וַיֹּֽאמְר֞וּ they va-yoh-meh-ROO הָ֣בָה׀ said, HA-va נִבְנֶה Go neev-NEH לָּ֣נוּ to, LA-noo עִ֗יר let eer וּמִגְדָּל֙ us oo-meeɡ-DAHL וְרֹאשׁ֣וֹ build veh-roh-SHOH בַשָּׁמַ֔יִם us va-sha-MA-yeem וְנַֽעֲשֶׂה a veh-NA-uh-seh לָּ֖נוּ city LA-noo שֵׁ֑ם and shame פֶּן a pen נָפ֖וּץ tower, na-FOOTS עַל whose al פְּנֵ֥י top peh-NAY כָל may hahl הָאָֽרֶץ׃ reach ha-AH-rets -
וַיֵּ֣רֶד the va-YAY-red יְהוָ֔ה Lord yeh-VA לִרְאֹ֥ת came leer-OTE אֶת down et הָעִ֖יר to ha-EER וְאֶת see veh-ET הַמִּגְדָּ֑ל ha-meeɡ-DAHL אֲשֶׁ֥ר the uh-SHER בָּנ֖וּ city ba-NOO בְּנֵ֥י and beh-NAY הָֽאָדָֽם׃ the HA-ah-DAHM -
וַיֹּ֣אמֶר the va-YOH-mer יְהוָ֗ה Lord yeh-VA הֵ֣ן said, hane עַ֤ם Behold, am אֶחָד֙ the eh-HAHD וְשָׂפָ֤ה people veh-sa-FA אַחַת֙ is ah-HAHT לְכֻלָּ֔ם one, leh-hoo-LAHM וְזֶ֖ה and veh-ZEH הַֽחִלָּ֣ם they ha-hee-LAHM לַֽעֲשׂ֑וֹת have la-uh-SOTE וְעַתָּה֙ all veh-ah-TA לֹֽא one loh יִבָּצֵ֣ר language; yee-ba-TSARE מֵהֶ֔ם and may-HEM כֹּ֛ל this kole אֲשֶׁ֥ר they uh-SHER יָֽזְמ֖וּ begin ya-zeh-MOO לַֽעֲשֽׂוֹת׃ to LA-uh-SOTE -
הָ֚בָה to, HA-va נֵֽרְדָ֔ה let nay-reh-DA וְנָֽבְלָ֥ה us veh-na-veh-LA שָׁ֖ם go shahm שְׂפָתָ֑ם down, seh-fa-TAHM אֲשֶׁר֙ and uh-SHER לֹ֣א there loh יִשְׁמְע֔וּ confound yeesh-meh-OO אִ֖ישׁ their eesh שְׂפַ֥ת language, seh-FAHT רֵעֵֽהוּ׃ that ray-ay-HOO -
וַיָּ֨פֶץ the va-YA-fets יְהוָ֥ה Lord yeh-VA אֹתָ֛ם scattered oh-TAHM מִשָּׁ֖ם them mee-SHAHM עַל abroad al פְּנֵ֣י from peh-NAY כָל thence hahl הָאָ֑רֶץ upon ha-AH-rets וַֽיַּחְדְּל֖וּ the va-yahk-deh-LOO לִבְנֹ֥ת face leev-NOTE הָעִֽיר׃ of ha-EER -
עַל al כֵּ֞ן is kane קָרָ֤א the ka-RA שְׁמָהּ֙ name sheh-MA בָּבֶ֔ל of ba-VEL כִּי it kee שָׁ֛ם called shahm בָּלַ֥ל Babel; ba-LAHL יְהוָ֖ה because yeh-VA שְׂפַ֣ת the seh-FAHT כָּל Lord kahl הָאָ֑רֶץ did ha-AH-rets וּמִשָּׁם֙ there oo-mee-SHAHM הֱפִיצָ֣ם confound hay-fee-TSAHM יְהוָ֔ה the yeh-VA עַל language al פְּנֵ֖י of peh-NAY כָּל all kahl הָאָֽרֶץ׃ the ha-AH-rets -
אֵ֚לֶּה are A-leh תּֽוֹלְדֹ֣ת the toh-leh-DOTE שֵׁ֔ם generations shame שֵׁ֚ם of shame בֶּן Shem: ben מְאַ֣ת Shem meh-AT שָׁנָ֔ה was sha-NA וַיּ֖וֹלֶד an VA-yoh-led אֶת hundred et אַרְפַּכְשָׁ֑ד years ar-pahk-SHAHD שְׁנָתַ֖יִם old, sheh-na-TA-yeem אַחַ֥ר and ah-HAHR הַמַּבּֽוּל׃ begat ha-ma-bool -
וַֽיְחִי Shem VA-hee שֵׁ֗ם lived shame אַֽחֲרֵי֙ after ah-huh-RAY הֽוֹלִיד֣וֹ he hoh-lee-DOH אֶת begat et אַרְפַּכְשָׁ֔ד ar-pahk-SHAHD חֲמֵ֥שׁ Arphaxad huh-MAYSH מֵא֖וֹת five may-OTE שָׁנָ֑ה hundred sha-NA וַיּ֥וֹלֶד years, VA-yoh-led בָּנִ֖ים and ba-NEEM וּבָנֽוֹת׃ begat oo-va-NOTE -
וְאַרְפַּכְשַׁ֣ד Arphaxad veh-ar-pahk-SHAHD חַ֔י lived hai חָמֵ֥שׁ five ha-MAYSH וּשְׁלֹשִׁ֖ים and oo-sheh-loh-SHEEM שָׁנָ֑ה thirty sha-NA וַיּ֖וֹלֶד years, VA-yoh-led אֶת and et שָֽׁלַח׃ begat SHA-lahk -
וַיְחִ֣י Arphaxad vai-HEE אַרְפַּכְשַׁ֗ד lived ar-pahk-SHAHD אַֽחֲרֵי֙ after ah-huh-RAY הֽוֹלִיד֣וֹ he hoh-lee-DOH אֶת begat et שֶׁ֔לַח SHEH-lahk שָׁלֹ֣שׁ Salah sha-LOHSH שָׁנִ֔ים four sha-NEEM וְאַרְבַּ֥ע hundred veh-ar-BA מֵא֖וֹת may-OTE שָׁנָ֑ה and sha-NA וַיּ֥וֹלֶד three VA-yoh-led בָּנִ֖ים years, ba-NEEM וּבָנֽוֹת׃ and oo-va-NOTE -
וְשֶׁ֥לַח Salah veh-SHEH-lahk חַ֖י lived hai שְׁלֹשִׁ֣ים thirty sheh-loh-SHEEM שָׁנָ֑ה years, sha-NA וַיּ֖וֹלֶד and VA-yoh-led אֶת begat et עֵֽבֶר׃ A-ver -

וַיְחִ֥י Serug vai-HEE שְׂר֖וּג lived seh-ROOɡ שְׁלֹשִׁ֣ים thirty sheh-loh-SHEEM שָׁנָ֑ה years, sha-NA וַיּ֖וֹלֶד and VA-yoh-led אֶת begat et נָחֽוֹר׃ na-HORE -
וַיְחִ֣י Serug vai-HEE שְׂר֗וּג lived seh-ROOɡ אַֽחֲרֵ֛י after ah-huh-RAY הֽוֹלִיד֥וֹ he hoh-lee-DOH אֶת begat et נָח֖וֹר na-HORE מָאתַ֣יִם Nahor ma-TA-yeem שָׁנָ֑ה two sha-NA וַיּ֥וֹלֶד hundred VA-yoh-led בָּנִ֖ים years, ba-NEEM וּבָנֽוֹת׃ and oo-va-NOTE -
וַיְחִ֣י Nahor vai-HEE נָח֔וֹר lived na-HORE תֵּ֥שַׁע nine TAY-sha וְעֶשְׂרִ֖ים and veh-es-REEM שָׁנָ֑ה twenty sha-NA וַיּ֖וֹלֶד years, VA-yoh-led אֶת and et תָּֽרַח׃ begat TA-rahk -

וַֽיְחִי Terah VA-hee תֶ֖רַח lived TEH-rahk שִׁבְעִ֣ים seventy sheev-EEM שָׁנָ֑ה years, sha-NA וַיּ֙וֹלֶד֙ and VA-yoh-LED אֶת begat et אַבְרָ֔ם av-RAHM אֶת Abram, et נָח֖וֹר na-HORE וְאֶת Nahor, veh-ET הָרָֽן׃ and ha-RAHN -

וַיִּקַּ֨ח Abram va-yee-KAHK אַבְרָ֧ם and av-RAHM וְנָח֛וֹר Nahor veh-na-HORE לָהֶ֖ם took la-HEM נָשִׁ֑ים them na-SHEEM שֵׁ֤ם wives: shame אֵֽשֶׁת the A-shet אַבְרָם֙ name av-RAHM שָׂרָ֔י of sa-RAI וְשֵׁ֤ם Abram's veh-SHAME אֵֽשֶׁת wife A-shet נָחוֹר֙ was na-HORE מִלְכָּ֔ה Sarai; meel-KA בַּת and baht הָרָ֥ן the ha-RAHN אֲבִֽי name uh-VEE מִלְכָּ֖ה of meel-KA וַֽאֲבִ֥י Nahor's va-uh-VEE יִסְכָּֽה׃ wife, yees-KA -
וַתְּהִ֥י Sarai va-teh-HEE שָׂרַ֖י was sa-RAI עֲקָרָ֑ה barren; uh-ka-RA אֵ֥ין she ane לָ֖הּ had la וָלָֽד׃ no va-LAHD -
וַיִּקַּ֨ח Terah va-yee-KAHK תֶּ֜רַח took TEH-rahk אֶת et אַבְרָ֣ם Abram av-RAHM בְּנ֗וֹ his beh-NOH וְאֶת son, veh-ET ל֤וֹט and lote בֶּן Lot ben הָרָן֙ the ha-RAHN בֶּן son ben בְּנ֔וֹ of beh-NOH וְאֵת֙ Haran veh-ATE שָׂרַ֣י his sa-RAI כַּלָּת֔וֹ son's ka-la-TOH אֵ֖שֶׁת son, A-shet אַבְרָ֣ם and av-RAHM בְּנ֑וֹ Sarai beh-NOH וַיֵּֽצְא֨וּ his va-yay-tseh-OO אִתָּ֜ם daughter ee-TAHM מֵא֣וּר in may-OOR כַּשְׂדִּ֗ים law, kahs-DEEM לָלֶ֙כֶת֙ his la-LEH-HET אַ֣רְצָה son AR-tsa כְּנַ֔עַן Abram's keh-NA-an וַיָּבֹ֥אוּ wife; va-ya-VOH-oo עַד and ad חָרָ֖ן they ha-RAHN וַיֵּ֥שְׁבוּ went va-YAY-sheh-voo שָֽׁם׃ forth shahm -
