Genesis 11:28
ਹਾਰਾਨ ਆਪਣੇ ਜੱਦੀ ਕਸਬੇ, ਕਸਦੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਊਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਰਿਆ, ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿ ਉਸਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਤਾਰਹ ਹਾਲੇ ਜਿਉਂਦਾ ਸੀ।
Genesis 11:31
ਤਾਰਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਕਸਦੀਮ ਦੇ ਊਰ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਗਿਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਨਾਨ ਜਾਣ ਦੀ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਬਣਾਈ। ਤਾਰਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਬਰਾਮ, ਆਪਣੇ ਪੋਤੇ ਲੂਤ (ਹਾਰਾਨ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ) ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਨੂੰਹ ਸਾਰਈ (ਅਬਰਾਮ ਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ) ਨੂੰ ਨਾਲ ਲੈ ਗਿਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਹਾਰਾਨ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਤੱਕ ਸਫਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਓੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਟਿਕ ਜਾਣ ਦਾ ਨਿਆਂ ਕੀਤਾ।
Genesis 15:7
ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਅਬਰਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਹਾਂ ਜਿਸਨੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਕਸਦੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਊਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਲਿਆਂਦਾ। ਅਜਿਹਾ ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਕੀਤਾ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਦੇ ਸੱਕਾਂ-ਤੂੰ ਇਸ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਹੋਵੇਂਗਾ।”
