Numbers 8 - WBT (Punjabi)

1 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,ਸ਼ਮਾਦਾਨ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ,

2 Speak to Aaron, and say to him, When thou lightest the lamps, the seven lamps shall give light over against the candlestick.“ਹਾਰੂਨ ਨੂੰ ਆਖ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਸੱਤ ਦੀਵਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਥਾਂ ਰੱਖੇ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਦਿਖਾਈ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਦੀਵੇ ਸ਼ਮਾਦਾਨ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਰੌਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਨਗੇ।”

3 And Aaron did so; he lighted the lamps of it over against the candlestick, as the LORD commanded Moses.ਹਾਰੂਨ ਨੇ ਇਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਕੀਤਾ। ਹਾਰੂਨ ਨੇ ਦੀਵਿਆਂ, ਨੂੰ ਸਹੀ ਥਾਂ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਰੁੱਖ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਸ਼ਮਾਦਾਨ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਰੌਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਆਦੇਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ।

4 And this work of the candlestick was of beaten gold, to its shaft, to the flowers of it, was beaten work: according to the pattern which the LORD had showed Moses, so he made the candlestick.ਸ਼ਮਾਦਾਨ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ: ਇਹ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਸੁਨਿਹਰੀ ਆਧਾਰ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਉੱਪਰ ਸੁਨਿਹਰੀ ਫ਼ੁੱਲਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਸੋਨੇ ਦੇ ਪੱਤਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਉਸੇ ਨਮੂਨੇ ਦਾ ਸੀ ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੂੰ ਦਿਖਾਇਆ ਸੀ।

5 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਸਮਰਪਨ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ,

6 Take the Levites from among the children of Israel, and cleanse them.“ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਖ ਕਰ ਲਵੋ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਬਣਾ ਦਿਉ।

7 And thus shalt thou do to them, to cleanse them: Sprinkle water of purifying upon them, and let them shave all their flesh, and let them wash their clothes, and so make themselves clean.ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਬਨਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਕੁਝ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਪਾਪ ਦੀ ਭੇਟ ਦਾ ਖਾਸ ਪਾਣੀ ਛਿੜਕੋ। ਇਹ ਪਾਣੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਬਣਾ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਦੇ ਵਾਲ ਮੁੰਨਣੇ ਚਾਹੀਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਧੋਣੇ ਚਾਹੀਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਣਗੇ।

8 Then let them take a young bullock with his meat-offering, even fine flour mingled with oil, and another young bullock shalt thou take for a sin-offering.“ਲੇਵੀ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੇਲ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲੇ ਮੈਦੇ ਦੀ ਅਨਾਜ ਦੀ ਭੇਟ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਵਹਿੜਕਾ ਲੈਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਪਾਪ ਦੀ ਭੇਟ ਵਜੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਹੋਰ ਜਵਾਨ ਬਲਦ ਲੈਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।

9 And thou shalt bring the Levites before the tabernacle of the congregation: and thou shalt convene the whole assembly of the children of Israel:ਲੇਵੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਡਲੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਤੰਬੂ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਲਿਆਉ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਥੇ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕਰੋ।

10 And thou shalt bring the Levites before the LORD: and the children of Israel shall put their hands upon the Levites:ਲੇਵੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਲਿਆਉ। ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਧਰਨਗੇ।

11 And Aaron shall offer the Levites before the LORD for an offering of the children of Israel, that they may execute the service of the LORD.ਫ਼ੇਰ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਰਪਿਤ ਕਰੇਗਾ। ਉਹ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਲਈ ਭੇਟ ਵਾਂਗ ਹੋਣਗੇ। ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ, ਲੇਵੀ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਲਈ ਆਪਣਾ ਖਾਸ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਹੋਣਗੇ।

12 And the Levites shall lay their hands upon the heads of the bullocks: and thou shalt offer the one for a sin-offering, and the other for a burnt-offering, to the LORD, to make an atonement for the Levites.“ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਣਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਵਹਿੜਕਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਿਰਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਰੱਖਣ। ਇੱਕ ਵਹਿੜਕਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਲਈ ਪਾਪ ਦੀ ਭੇਟ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਵਹਿੜਕੇ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਮ ਦੀ ਭੇਟ ਵਜੋਂ ਇਸਤੇਮਾਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਇਹ ਭੇਟਾ ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਪਰਾਸਚਿਤ ਕਰਨਗੀਆਂ।

13 And thou shalt set the Levites before Aaron, and before his sons, and offer them for an offering to the LORD.ਲੇਵੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਣਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਹੋ ਜਾਣ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਲੇਵੀ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਰਪਿਤ ਕਰ ਦੇਣਾ। ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਹਿਲਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਭੇਟ ਵਾਂਗ ਹੋਣਗੇ।

14 Thus shalt thou separate the Levites from among the children of Israel: and the Levites shall be mine.ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਲੇਵੀ ਲੋਕ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਬਣ ਜਾਣਗੇ। ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਇਹ ਦਰਸਾਵੇਗੀ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਲਈ ਖਾਸ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਸੱਕਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਵੱਖਰੇ ਹੋਣਗੇ। ਲੇਵੀ ਲੋਕ ਮੇਰੇ ਹੋਣਗੇ।

15 And after that shall the Levites go in to perform the service of the tabernacle of the congregation: and thou shalt cleanse them, and offer them for an offering.“ਇਸ ਲਈ ਲੇਵੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਬਣਾਉ। ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਅੱਗੇ ਸਮਰਪਿਤ ਕਰੋ। ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਹਿਲਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਭੇਟ ਵਾਂਗ ਹੋਣਗੇ। ਜਦੋਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਹ ਕਰ ਚੁੱਕੋਂਗੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਆ ਸੱਕਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਮੰਡਲੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਤੰਬੂ ਵਿਖੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਕੰਮ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਦੇ ਹਨ।

16 For they are wholly given to me from among the children of Israel; instead of such as open every womb, even instead of the first-born of all the children of Israel, have I taken them to me.ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀ ਲੋਕ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਰਪਿਤ ਕਰਨਗੇ। ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਹੋਣਗੇ ਅਤੀਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੈਂ ਹਰੇਕ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਆਪਣਾ ਪਹਿਲੋਠਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਭੇਟ ਕਰਨ। ਪਰ ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਹਿਲੋਠੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਬਦਲੇ ਲੇਵੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ।

17 For all the first born of the children of Israel are mine, both man and beast: on the day that I smote every first-born in the land of Egypt I sanctified them for myself.ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਹਰ ਪਹਿਲੋਠਾ ਨਰ ਮੇਰਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਕੋਈ ਫ਼ਰਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਆਦਮੀ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਜਾਨਵਰ, ਇਹ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਵੀ ਮੇਰਾ ਹੈ। ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਮਿਸਰ ਦੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਪਹਿਲੋਠੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਜਾਨਵਰਾ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਪਹਿਲੋਠੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਬਨਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਚੋਣ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ।

18 And I have taken the Levites for all the first-born of the children of Israel.ਪਰ ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਥਾਵੇਂ ਲੇਵੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਲਵਾਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਹਿਲੋਠੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਥਾਵੇ ਲੇਵੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਲਵਾਂਗਾ।

19 And I have given the Levites as a gift to Aaron and to his sons from among the children of Israel, to do the service of the children of Israel in the tabernacle of the congregation, and to make an atonement for the children of Israel: that there may be no plague among the children of Israel, when the children of Israel come nigh to the sanctuary.ਮੈਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਲੇਵੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਚੋਣ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ। ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਗਾਤ ਵਜੋਂ ਦੇ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਮੰਡਲੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਤੰਬੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ। ਉਹ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਨਗੇ। ਉਹ ਅਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਦੇਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰਨਗੇ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਬਨਾਉਣਗੀਆਂ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਜਾਂ ਬਿਪਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਵੇਗੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਸਥਾਨ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਆਉਣਗੇ।”

20 And Moses, and Aaron, and all the congregation of the children of Israel, did to the Levites according to all that the LORD commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so did the children of Israel to them.ਇਸ ਲਈ, ਮੂਸਾ, ਹਾਰੂਨ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਮੰਨਿਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਲੇਵੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਸਾਰਾ ਕੁਝ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਿਸਦਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੂੰ ਆਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ।

21 And the Levites were purified, and they washed their clothes; and Aaron offered them as an offering before the LORD; and Aaron made an atonement for them to cleanse them.ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਇਸਨਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਧੋਤੇ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਅੱਗੇ ਹਿਲਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਭੇਟ ਵਜੋਂ ਅਰਪਿਤ ਕਰ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਵੇ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਾਪ ਢੱਕ ਲਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਬਣਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

22 And after that went the Levites in to perform their service in the tabernacle of the congregation before Aaron, and before his sons: as the LORD had commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so did they to them.ਇਸਤੋਂ ਮਗਰੋਂ, ਲੇਵੀ ਲੋਕ ਆਪਣਾ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਮੰਡਲੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਤੰਬੂ ਵੱਲ ਆਏ। ਹਾਰੂਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਰਾਨੀ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਹ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੇਵੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਲਈ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰ ਸਨ। ਹਾਰੂਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਹੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਿਸਦਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੂੰ ਆਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ।

23 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,ਫ਼ੇਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ,

24 This is it that belongeth to the Levites: from twenty and five years old and upward they shall go in to wait upon the service of the tabernacle of the congregation:“ਲੇਵੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਇਹ ਖਾਸ ਆਦੇਸ਼ ਹੈ: ਹਰੇਕ ਲੇਵੀ ਬੰਦਾ ਜਿਹੜਾ 25 ਵਰ੍ਹਿਆ ਦਾ ਜਾਂ ਇਸਤੋਂ ਵੱਡਾ ਹੈ। ਮੰਡਲੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਤੰਬੂ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲੈਣ ਲਈ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਆਵੇ।

25 And from the age of fifty years they shall cease waiting upon the service of it, and shall serve no more:ਪਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਆਦਮੀ 50 ਸਾਲ ਦਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੰਮ ਤੋਂ ਸੇਵਾ ਮੁਕਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ।

26 But shall minister with their brethren in the tabernacle of the congregation, to keep the charge, and shall do no service. Thus shalt thou do to the Levites concerning their charge.ਉਹ ਆਦਮੀ ਜਿਹੜੇ 50 ਸਾਲ ਜਾਂ ਇਸਤੋਂ ਵਡੇਰੀ ਉਮਰ ਦੇ ਹਨ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੰਡਲੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਤੰਬੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਦੇ ਹਨ। ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਖੁਦ ਕੰਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ। ਇੰਝ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਬਾਰੇ ਪੇਸ਼ ਆਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।”
