ਜੋਤਸ਼ੀ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਆਏ ਯਿਸੂ ਯਹੂਦਿਯਾ ਦੇ ਨਗਰ ਬੈਤਲਹਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੰਮਿਆ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਉਸ ਵਕਤ ਜਨਮਿਆ ਸੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਹੇਰੋਦੇਸ ਰਾਜਾ ਸੀ। ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਜਨਮ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਪੂਰਬ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਜੋਤਸ਼ੀ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਏ।
