Mark 5 - YLT (Punjabi)

1 And they came to the other side of the sea, to the region of the Gadarenes,ਯਿਸੂ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਆਦਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਭਰਿਸ਼ਟ ਆਤਮਾ ਤੋਂ ਮੁਕਤ ਕਰਨਾ ਯਿਸੂ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਚੇਲੇ ਝੀਲ ਦੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਪਾਰ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਗਿਰਸੇਨੀਆ ਦੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਆਏ।

2 and he having come forth out of the boat, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,ਜਦੋਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਬੇੜੀ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਆਇਆ ਤਾਂ, ਕਬਰਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਭਰਿਸ਼ਟ ਆਤਮਾ ਚਿੰਬੜਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ, ਉਸ ਕੋਲ ਆਇਆ।

3 who had his dwelling in the tombs, and not even with chains was any one able to bind him,ਇਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਕਬਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚਕਾਰ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਸੀ। ਕੋਈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਜੰਜ਼ੀਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਸੀ।

4 because that he many times with fetters and chains had been bound, and pulled in pieces by him had been the chains, and the fetters broken in pieces, and none was able to tame him,ਕਈ ਵਾਰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਅਤੇ ਪੈਰ ਸੰਗਲਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜਕੜੇ ਗਏ ਸਨ। ਪਰ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੋੜ ਸੁੱਟਦਾ। ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਆਦਮੀ ਇੰਨਾ ਤਾਕਤਵਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਬੂ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਦਾ।

5 and always, night and day, in the mountains, and in the tombs he was, crying and cutting himself with stones.ਦਿਨ-ਰਾਤ ਇਹ ਆਦਮੀ ਕਬਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚਕਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਪਹਾੜੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਸੀ। ਅਤੇ ਚੀਕਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਪੱਥਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜ਼ਖਮੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਸੀ।

6 And, having seen Jesus from afar, he ran and bowed before him,ਜਦੋਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਅਜੇ ਦੂਰ ਹੀ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਇਸ ਆਦਮੀ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਵੱਲ ਨਸਿਆ। ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਅੱਗੇ ਜਾਕੇ ਝੁਕ ਗਿਆ।

7 and having called with a loud voice, he said, `What -- to me and to thee, Jesus, Son of God the Most High? I adjure thee by God, mayest thou not afflict me!'ਤੇ ਉਹ ਚੀਕਿਆ, “ਯਿਸੂ, ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਕੀ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ? ਤੂੰ ਅੱਤ-ਮਹਾਨ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹੈ! ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਸੌਂਹ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕਸ਼ਟ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਵੇਂਗਾ।”

8 (for he said to him, `Come forth, spirit unclean, out of the man,')ਉਸ ਨੇ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਆਦਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ, “ਤੂੰ ਭਰਿਸ਼ਟ ਆਤਮਾ, ਇਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਆ ਜਾ।”

9 and he was questioning him, `What `is' thy name?' and he answered, saying, `Legion `is' my name, because we are many;'ਫ਼ਿਰ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ, “ਤੇਰਾ ਕੀ ਨਾਂ ਹੈ?” ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ, “ਮੇਰਾ ਨਾਉਂ ਲਸ਼ਕਰ ਹੈ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਭਰਿਸ਼ਟ ਆਤਮੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਹਨ।”

10 and he was calling on him much, that he may not send them out of the region.ਫ਼ਿਰ ਉਸ ਆਦਮੀ ਨੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਅੱਗੇ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਥਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਨਾ ਕੱਢੇ।

11 And there was there, near the mountains, a great herd of swine feeding,ਉੱਥੇ ਪਹਾੜ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਸੂਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਡਾ ਇੱਜੜ ਚਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ।

12 and all the demons did call upon him, saying, `Send us to the swine, that into them we may enter;'ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਭਰਿਸ਼ਟ ਆਤਮਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਅੱਗੇ ਅਰਜੋਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ “ਸਾਨੂੰ ਸੂਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਭੇਜ ਦੇ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਅਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾ ਵੜੀਏ।”

13 and immediately Jesus gave them leave, and having come forth, the unclean spirits did enter into the swine, and the herd did rush down the steep place to the sea -- and they were about two thousand -- and they were choked in the sea.ਤਾਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਭਰਿਸ਼ਟ ਆਤਮੇ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਨਿਕਲਕੇ ਸੂਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾ ਵੜੇ। ਅਤੇ ਇੱਜੜ ਪਹਾੜੀ ਦੀ ਸਿਧੀ ਢਲਾਣ ਤੇ ਭੱਜਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਝੀਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਡਿੱਗ ਪਿਆ। ਉਸ ਇੱਜੜ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੋ-ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਦੇ ਕਰੀਬ ਸੂਰ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਝੀਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਡੁੱਬ ਗਏ।

14 And those feeding the swine did flee, and told in the city, and in the fields, and they came forth to see what it is that hath been done;ਜਿਹੜੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਉੱਥੇ ਸੂਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚਰਵਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਰੱਖਵਾਲੀ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ ਨੱਸ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਨੱਸਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਖੇਤਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਸਾਰਾ ਹਾਲ ਜਾ ਸੁਣਾਇਆ। ਲੋਕ ਵੇਖਣ ਲਈ ਆਏ ਕਿ ਕੀ ਵਾਪਰਿਆ ਸੀ।

15 and they come unto Jesus, and see the demoniac, sitting, and clothed, and right-minded -- him having had the legion -- and they were afraid;ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਯਿਸੂ ਕੋਲ ਆਏ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਆਦਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਜੋ ਭਰਿਸ਼ਟ ਆਤਮਿਆ ਦੇ ਕਬਜ਼ੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਆਦਮੀ ਉੱਥੇ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਪਾਈ ਬੈਠਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਸੁਰਤ ਵੀ ਹੁਣ ਟਿਕਾਣੇ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਵੇਖ ਲੋਕੀ ਡਰ ਗਏ।

16 and those having seen `it', declared to them how it had come to pass to the demoniac, and about the swine;ਕੁਝ ਲੋਕ ਉੱਥੇ ਸਨ, ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਇਹ ਸਭ ਜੋ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ ਵੇਖਿਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ, ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਭੂਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਬਜ਼ੇ ਹੇਠ ਆਦਮੀ ਨਾਲ ਵਾਪਰਿਆ, ਆਣ ਸੁਣਾਇਆ, ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੂਰਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਵੀ ਦਸਿਆ।

17 and they began to call upon him to go away from their borders.ਤਦ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਇਲਾਕਾ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਚੱਲੇ ਜਾਣ ਲਈ ਮਿੰਨਤ ਕੀਤੀ।

18 And he having gone into the boat, the demoniac was calling on him that he may be with him,ਜਿਉਂ ਹੀ ਯਿਸੂ ਬੇੜੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੜ੍ਹ੍ਹਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਸੀ, ਜੋ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਭੂਤਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਮੁਕਤ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਸਦਾ ਅਨੁਸਰਣ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਆਗਿਆ ਮੰਗੀ।

19 and Jesus did not suffer him, but saith to him, `Go away to thy house, unto thine own `friends', and tell them how great things the Lord did to thee, and dealt kindly with thee;ਪਰ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਆਉਣ ਦੀ ਇਜਾਜ਼ਤ ਨਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਗੀ-ਸਾਥੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾ। ਤੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਤੇਰੇ ਤੇ ਮਿਹਰਬਾਨ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।”

20 and he went away, and began to proclaim in the Decapolis how great things Jesus did to him, and all were wondering.ਉਹ ਆਦਮੀ ਚੱਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਦਿਕਾਪੁਲਿਸ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਕੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਉਸਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਸੁਣਕੇ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਸਨ।

21 And Jesus having passed over in the boat again to the other side, there was gathered a great multitude to him, and he was near the sea,ਯਿਸੂ ਦਾ ਮੋਈ ਕੁੜੀ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਦੇਣੇ ਅਤੇ ਬਿਮਾਰ ਔਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਜ਼ੀ ਕਰਨਾ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਯਿਸੂ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਤੋਂ ਬੇੜੀ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਝੀਲ ਦੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਗਿਆ, ਝੀਲ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਉਸ ਕੋਲ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਡੀ ਭੀੜ ਇਕੱਠੀ ਹੋ ਗਈ।

22 and lo, there doth come one of the chiefs of the synagogue, by name Jairus, and having seen him, he doth fall at his feet,ਉੱਥੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਆਗੂ ਉਸ ਕੋਲ ਆਇਆ ਜਿਸਦਾ ਨਾਉਂ ਜੈਰੁਸ ਸੀ। ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭ ਲਿਆ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੈਰੀਂ ਪੈ ਗਿਆ।

23 and he was calling upon him much, saying -- `My little daughter is at the last extremity -- that having come, thou mayest lay on her `thy' hands, so that she may be saved, and she shall live;'ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੈਰੀਂ ਪੈਕੇ ਬਾਰ-ਬਾਰ ਮਿੰਨਤ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗਾ, “ਮੇਰੀ ਛੋਟੀ ਜਿਹੀ ਧੀ ਮਰਨ ਕਿਨਾਰੇ ਹੈ। ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਉਸ ਉੱਪਰ ਰੱਖ ਦਿਉ। ਉਹ ਚੰਗੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ ਤੇ ਜਿਉਂ ਪਵੇਗੀ।”

24 and he went away with him. And there was following him a great multitude, and they were thronging him,ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਜੈਰੁਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਗਿਆ। ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਉਸਦਾ ਪਿੱਛਾ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਦਬਾਈ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ।

25 and a certain woman, having an issue of blood twelve years,ਉੱਥੇ ਇੱਕ ਔਰਤ ਸੀ, ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਿੱਛਲੇ ਬਾਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਰ੍ਹਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਖੂਨ ਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ।

26 and many things having suffered under many physicians, and having spent all that she had, and having profited nothing, but rather having come to the worse,ਉਹ ਔਰਤ ਬੜੀ ਤਕਲੀਫ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਵੈਦਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਠੀਕ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਵੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਕੋਲ ਜਿੰਨੀ ਵੀ ਦੌਲਤ ਸੀ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਇਲਾਜ ਤੇ ਖਰਚ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਸੀ, ਪਰ ਉਹ ਚੰਗੀ ਨਾ ਹੋਈ। ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਹਾਲਤ ਹੋਰ ਵੀ ਖਰਾਬ ਹੋ ਗਈ।

27 having heard about Jesus, having come in the multitude behind, she touched his garment,ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਔਰਤ ਨੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਬਾਰੇ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਭੀੜ ਵਿੱਚਕਾਰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਆ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਨੂੰ ਛੂਹਿਆ।

28 for she said -- `If even his garments I may touch, I shall be saved;'ਉਸ ਔਰਤ ਨੇ ਸੋਚਿਆ, “ਜੇਕਰ ਮੈਂ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਛੂਹ ਲਵਾਂ, ਮੈਂ ਚੰਗੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਵਾਂਗੀ।”

29 and immediately was the fountain of her blood dried up, and she knew in the body that she hath been healed of the plague.ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਔਰਤ ਨੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਦਾ ਕੱਪੜਾ ਛੂਹਿਆ, ਉਸਦਾ ਲਹੂ ਵਗਣਾ ਰੁਕ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਤਕਲੀਫ਼ਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਚੰਗੀ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਸੀ।

30 And immediately Jesus having known in himself that out of him power had gone forth, having turned about in the multitude, said, `Who did touch my garments?'ਜਦੋਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਕੋਈ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਉਸ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਆਈ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਸੇ-ਪਾਸੇ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ, “ਕਿਸਨੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਕੱਪੜਾ ਛੋਹਿਆ ਹੈ?”

31 and his disciples said to him, `Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and thou sayest, `Who did touch me!'ਉਸ ਦੇ ਚੇਲਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਤੂੰ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਕਿ ਲੋਕ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਦਬਾਈ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਅਤੇ ਹਾਲੇ ਵੀ ਤੂੰ ਪੁੱਛ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਕਿਸਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਛੁਹਿਆ ਹੈ?”

32 And he was looking round to see her who did this,ਪਰ ਯਿਸੂ ਉਸ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭਣ ਲਈ ਆਸੇ-ਪਾਸੇ ਵੇਖ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਕੌਣ ਹੈ।

33 and the woman, having been afraid, and trembling, knowing what was done on her, came, and fell down before him, and told him all the truth,ਉਹ ਔਰਤ ਜਾਣ ਗਈ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਹੁਣ ਠੀਕ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਯਿਸੂ ਕੋਲ ਆਈ ਅਤੇ ਡਰ ਨਾਲ ਕੰਬਦੀ ਹੋਈ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਤੇ ਡਿੱਗ ਪਈ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਰੀ ਵਾਰਤਾ ਸੁਣਾਈ।

34 and he said to her, `Daughter, thy faith hath saved thee; go away in peace, and be whole from thy plague.'ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਔਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਹੇ ਪਿਆਰੀ ਇਸਤਰੀ! ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕਾਰਣ ਚੰਗੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈਂ। ਖੁਸ਼ ਰਹਿ! ਹੁਣ ਤੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ ਤਕਲੀਫ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਝੱਲੇਂਗੀ।”

35 As he is yet speaking, there come from the chief of the synagogue's `house, certain', saying -- `Thy daughter did die, why still dost thou harass the Teacher?'ਜਦੋਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਅਜੇ ਬੋਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ, ਕੁਝ ਲੋਕ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ-ਸਥਾਨ ਦੇ ਆਗੂ ਜੈਰੁਸ ਦੇ ਘਰੋਂ ਆਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਤੇਰੀ ਧੀ ਮਰ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਤੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਖੇਚਲ ਕਿਉਂ ਦੇ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ?”

36 And Jesus immediately, having heard the word that is spoken, saith to the chief of the synagogue, `Be not afraid, only believe.'ਪਰ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਗੱਲ ਦੀ ਬਿਲਕੁਲ ਕੋਈ ਪਰਵਾਹ ਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਕੀ ਆਖ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਦੇ ਆਗੂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਡਰ ਨਹੀਂ! ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਰੱਖ।”

37 And he did not suffer any one to follow with him, except Peter, and James, and John the brother of James;ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਪਤਰਸ, ਯਾਕੂਬ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਭਰਾ ਯੂਹੰਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਦੇ ਆਗੂ ਜੈਰੁਸ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਚੱਲਾ ਗਿਆ।

38 and he cometh to the house of the chief of the synagogue, and seeth a tumult, much weeping and wailing;ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਉੱਥੇ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ, ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਂਦਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਪਿਟਦਿਆਂ ਵੇਖਿਆ। ਉੱਥੇ ਬੜੀ ਭਾਜੜ ਪਈ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ।

39 and having gone in he saith to them, `Why do ye make a tumult, and weep? the child did not die, but doth sleep;ਯਿਸੂ ਉਸ ਘਰ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਵੜਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਤੁਸੀਂ ਲੋਕ ਕਿਉਂ ਰੋ ਰਹੇ ਹੋ ਅਤੇ ਅਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਕਿਉਂ ਫ਼ੈਲਾ ਰਹੇ ਹੋ? ਬੱਚੀ ਮਰੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਉਹ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਸੌਂ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।”

40 and they were laughing at him. And he, having put all forth, doth take the father of the child, and the mother, and those with him, and goeth in where the child is lying,ਪਰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਦਾ ਮਜਾਕ ਉਡਾਇਆ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸਭ ਨੂੰ ਘਰੋਂ ਚੱਲੇ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ। ਉਹ ਉਸ ਕਮਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਿਆ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਬੱਚੀ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਕਮਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੱਚੀ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ-ਮਾਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਚੇਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਲਿਆ।

41 and, having taken the hand of the child, he saith to her, `Talitha cumi;' which is, being interpreted, `Damsel (I say to thee), arise.'ਤਦ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਕੁੜੀ ਦਾ ਹੱਥ ਫ਼ੜਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਤਲੀਥਾ ਕੂਮੀ!” (ਜਿਸਦਾ ਅਰਥ ਹੈ “ਹੇ ਕੰਨਿਆ, ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਉੱਠ!”)

42 And immediately the damsel arose, and was walking, for she was twelve years `old'; and they were amazed with a great amazement,ਕੁੜੀ ਝੱਟ ਉੱਠ ਖੜ੍ਹੀ ਹੋਈ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਰਨ-ਫ਼ਿਰਨ ਲੱਗੀ। ਉਹ ਕੁੜੀ ਬਾਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਰ੍ਹਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਾਂ-ਪਿਉ ਅਤੇ ਚੇਲੇ ਬੜੇ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਹੋ ਗਏ।

43 and he charged them much, that no one may know this thing, and he said that there be given to her to eat.ਅਤੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਖਤ ਚਿਤਾਵਨੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਨਾ ਦੱਸਣ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਕੁੜੀ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਝ ਖਾਣ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਕਿਹਾ।
