Joshua 8:24-29 in Punjabi

24 And it came to pass, when Israel had made an end of slaying all the inhabitants of Ai in the field, in the wilderness wherein they chased them, and when they were all fallen on the edge of the sword, until they were consumed, that all the Israelites returned unto Ai, and smote it with the edge of the sword.

25 And so it was, that all that fell that day, both of men and women, were twelve thousand, even all the men of Ai.

26 For Joshua drew not his hand back, wherewith he stretched out the spear, until he had utterly destroyed all the inhabitants of Ai.

27 Only the cattle and the spoil of that city Israel took for a prey unto themselves, according unto the word of the Lord which he commanded Joshua.

28 And Joshua burnt Ai, and made it an heap for ever, even a desolation unto this day.

29 And the king of Ai he hanged on a tree until eventide: and as soon as the sun was down, Joshua commanded that they should take his carcase down from the tree, and cast it at the entering of the gate of the city, and raise thereon a great heap of stones, that remaineth unto this day.

24 ਲੜਾਈ ਦਾ ਵੇਰਵਾ ਲੜਾਈ ਸਮੇਂ, ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਨੇ ਅਈ ਦੇ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਖੇਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਰੂਥਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਿੱਛਾ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਨੇ ਅਈ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਖੇਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਰੂਥਲ ਅੰਦਰ ਮਾਰ ਮੁਕਾਇਆ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਅਈ ਵਾਪਸ ਪਰਤ ਆਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਹਾਲੇ ਵੀ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿਉਂਦੇ ਰਹਿ ਗਏ ਸਨ।

25 ਅਈ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਮਾਰੇ ਗਏ। ਉੱਥੇ 12,000 ਆਦਮੀ ਅਤੇ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਸਨ।
And so it was, that all that fell that day, both of men and women, were twelve thousand, even all the men of Ai.

26 ਯਹੋਸ਼ੁਆ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਬਰਛਾ ਅਈ ਵੱਲ ਸੇਧਿਆ। ਇਹ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰ ਦੇਣ ਦਾ ਸੰਕੇਤ ਸੀ। ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਸ਼ੁਆ ਉਦੋਂ ਤੀਕ ਰੁਕਿਆ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਕਿ ਅਈ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਤਬਾਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਗਏ।
For Joshua drew not his hand back, wherewith he stretched out the spear, until he had utterly destroyed all the inhabitants of Ai.

27 ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਪਸ਼ੂਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਹਰੇਕ ਚੀਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਲਈ ਰੱਖ ਲਿਆ। ਉਹੀ ਗੱਲ ਸੀ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਖੀ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਦੇ ਹਨ। ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਸ਼ੁਆ ਨੂੰ ਆਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਸਨ।

28 ਫ਼ਿਰ ਯਹੋਸ਼ੁਆ ਨੇ ਅਈ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਨੂੰ ਸਾੜ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਹ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਮਲਬੇ ਦਾ ਢੇਰ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ ਇਹ ਅੱਜ ਵੀ ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੈ।

29 ਯਹੋਸ਼ੁਆ ਨੇ ਅਈ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਰੁੱਖ ਉੱਤੇ ਫ਼ਾਂਸੀ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਾਮ ਤੱਕ ਰੁੱਖ ਉੱਤੇ ਲਟਕੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਸੂਰਜ ਛੁਪਣ ਵੇਲੇ ਯਹੋਸ਼ੁਆ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੀ ਲੋਥ ਨੂੰ ਰੁੱਖ ਤੋਂ ਉਤਾਰਨ ਲਈ ਆਖਿਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਲੋਥ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਸੁੱਟ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਫ਼ਿਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਲੋਥ ਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਪੱਥਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਢੱਕ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਹ ਪਥਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਢੇਰ ਅੱਜ ਵੀ ਉੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਹੈ।
