ਕੁਝ ਲੋਕ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਗਿਰਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਸਨ, ਪਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਹੱਥ ਨਾ ਪਾਇਆ।

ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਉਦੋਂ ਆਖੀਆਂ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਮੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ। ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਵੇ ਦੀ ਪੇਟੀ ਕੋਲ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਪਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਗਿਰਫਤਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਅਜੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਦਾ ਸਹੀ ਵੇਲਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਆਇਆ।

ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਨਾਸਰਤ ਦੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ।” ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ ਹੀ ਯਿਸੂ ਹਾਂ।” ਯਹੂਦਾ ਜਿਸਨੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਹੱਥੀ ਫ਼ੜਵਾਇਆ ਸੀ, ਉਹ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਸੀ।
