Jeremiah 24:8
“ਪਰ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਸਿਦਕੀਯਾਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੜੇ ਹੋਏ ਅੰਜੀਰਾਂ ਵਰਗਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਜੋ ਖਾਣ ਦੇ ਯੋਗ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਨ। ਸਿਦਕੀਯਾਹ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਉੱਚ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ, ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਚ ਜਾਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਮਿਸਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੜੇ ਹੋਏ ਅੰਜੀਰਾਂ ਵਰਗੇ ਹੋਣਗੇ।

ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਦੱਸ ਕੇ ਗੱਲ ਮੁਕਾਈ। ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਰ ਉਹ ਗੱਲ ਦੱਸ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਣ ਲਈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਸੀ।
Jeremiah 24:2
ਇੱਕ ਟੋਕਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਚੰਗੇ ਅੰਜੀਰ ਸਨ। ਉਹ ਅੰਜੀਰ ਉਹੋ ਜਿਹੇ ਸਨ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਰੁੱਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਗੇਤੇ ਪੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਪਰ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਟੋਕਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਸੜੇ ਹੋਏ ਅੰਜੀਰ ਪਏ ਸਨ ਉਹ ਇੰਨੇ ਸੜੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ ਕਿ ਖਾਣ ਦੇ ਯੋਗ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਨ।

Jeremiah 52:2
ਸਿਦਕੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੰਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਯਹੋਯਾਕੀਮ ਨੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਸੀ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਸਿਦਕੀਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਮੰਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਪਸੰਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ।

ਪਰ ਮਿਸਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕੋ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣੋ: ‘ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਹਾਨ ਨਾਮ ਉੱਤੇ ਇਹ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ: ਮੈਂ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦਾ ਮਿਸਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਬੰਦਾ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰੇਗਾ। ਉਹ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਖਣਗੇ “ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਸਾਖੀ ਹੈ….”

ਅਤੇ ਸਿਦਕੀਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ ਕਾਲ ਦੇ 11ਵੇਂ ਵਰ੍ਹੇ ਦੇ ਚੌਬੇ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਦੇ 9ਵੇਂ ਦਿਨ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੀ ਦੀਵਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾੜ ਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ।

ਪਰ ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਆਤਮ ਸਮਰਪਣ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਕਰੇਂਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਦੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਉਹ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਸਾੜ ਦੇਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਵੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਬਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੱਕੇਂਗਾ।’”

ਫ਼ੇਰ ਰਾਜੇ ਸਿਦਕੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਦਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਜ ਮਹਿਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਆਂਦਾ ਗਿਆ। ਸਿਦਕੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਇੱਕਾਂਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੱਲ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ, “ਕੀ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਹੈ?” ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ, “ਹਾਂ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਹੈ। ਸਿਦਕੀਯਾਹ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।”
Jeremiah 37:10
ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੇ ਲੋਕੋ, ਭਾਵੇਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੀ ਉਸ ਸਾਰੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਯੋਗ ਸੀ, ਜਿਹੜੀ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਹਮਲਾ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਤਾਂ ਵੀ ਕੁਝ ਜ਼ਖਮੀ ਬੰਦੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਤੰਬੂਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਚੇ ਰਹਿਣਗੇ। ਉਹ ਕੁਝ ਜ਼ਖਮੀ ਬੰਦੇ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਤੰਬੂਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਨਿਕਲ ਆਉਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਸਾੜ ਸੁੱਟਣਗੇ।’”
Jeremiah 34:17
“ਇਹੀ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ: ‘ਤੁਸੀਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੰਨਿਆ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਇਬਰਾਨੀ ਸਾਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਕਰਾਰਨਾਮੇ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਨਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ, ਮੈਂ “ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ” ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ। ਇਹ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਹੈ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਵੱਲੋਂ। (ਮੈਂ “ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ” ਦਿਆਂਗਾ।) ਤਲਵਾਰ ਨਾਲ, ਭੁੱਖਮਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਬਿਮਾਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਮਾਰੇ ਜਾਣ ਦੀ! ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਸ਼ੈਅ ਬਣਾ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਰਾਜਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੈਭੀਤ ਕਰ ਦੇਵੇਗੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਸੁਣਨਗੇ।
Jeremiah 32:28
ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਛੇਤੀ ਹੀ ਮੈਂ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਦੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕਰ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ। ਉਹ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਸਹਿਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਕਬਜ਼ਾ ਕਰ ਲਵੇਗੀ।
Jeremiah 29:16
ਪਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੰਬੰਧੀਆਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਬਲ ਲਿਆਂਦਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਤਖਤ ਉੱਤੇ ਹੁਣ ਬੈਠਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਗੱਲ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਹਾਲੇ ਵੀ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਨ।
Jeremiah 24:5
ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਲਿਜਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਬਲ ਲੈ ਗਿਆ। ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਚੰਗੇ ਅੰਜੀਰਾਂ ਵਰਗੇ ਹੋਣਗੇ। ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਉੱਪਰ ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ।
Jeremiah 21:10
ਮੈਂ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਲਈ ਮੁਸੀਬਤ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਨਿਆਂ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ।’” ਇਹ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਹੈ “‘ਮੈਂ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕਰ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ। ਉਹ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਗ ਨਾਲ ਸਾੜ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ।’
