ਫ਼ੇਰ ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਤੋਂਫਬ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ। ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਵਰਾਂਡੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਖਲੋ ਗਿਆ। ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ:

ਫ਼ੇਰ ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਤੋਂਫਬ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ। ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਵਰਾਂਡੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਖਲੋ ਗਿਆ। ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ:
