Isaiah 21
11 ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਅਦੋਮ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਦੂਮਾਹ ਬਾਰੇ ਉਦਾਸ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼। ਕਿਸੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸੇਈਰ (ਅਦੋਮ) ਤੋਂ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਪਹਿਰੇਦਾਰ, ਕਿੰਨੀ ਕੁ ਰਾਤ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ? ਰਾਤ ਪੈਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿੰਨੀ ਕੁ ਦੇਰ ਹੈ।”
12 ਪਹਿਰੇਦਾਰ ਨੇ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, “ਸਵੇਰ ਆ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਦੁਬਾਰਾ ਰਾਤ ਵੀ ਆਵੇਗੀ। ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕੁਝ ਪੁੱਛਣਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਮੁੜ ਕੇ ਆਉਣਾ ਤੇ ਪੁੱਛਣਾ।”
11 The burden of Dumah. He calleth to me out of Seir, Watchman, what of the night? Watchman, what of the night?
12 The watchman said, The morning cometh, and also the night: if ye will inquire, inquire ye: return, come.
