Genesis 7:23
ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੀ ਹਰ ਜਿਉਂਦੀ ਸ਼ੈਅ ਨੂੰ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ: ਹਰ ਆਦਮੀ, ਹਰ ਜਾਨਵਰ, ਹਰ ਰੀਂਗਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਜੀਵ ਅਤੇ ਹਰ ਪੰਛੀ। ਇਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਸ਼ੈਆਂ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਤਬਾਹ ਹੋ ਗਈਆਂ ਸਨ। ਜਿਹੜਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਬਚਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਉਹ ਨੂਹ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਕਿਸ਼ਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਵਾਰ ਲੋਕ ਅਤੇ ਜੀਵਿਤ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਸਨ।

| the creeping things, | רֶ֙מֶשׂ֙ | remeś | REH-MES |
| and | וְעַד | wĕʿad | veh-AD |
| fowl the | ע֣וֹף | ʿôp | ofe |
| of the heaven; | הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם | haššāmayim | ha-sha-MA-yeem |
| destroyed were they and | וַיִּמָּח֖וּ | wayyimmāḥû | va-yee-ma-HOO |
