Genesis 35:29
ਫ਼ੇਰ ਇਸਹਾਕ ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ। ਇਸਹਾਕ ਨੇ ਲੰਮੀ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਜੀਵੀ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਏਸਾਓ ਅਤੇ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਵਾਲੀ ਥਾਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਦਫ਼ਨਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

ਤੂੰ ਉਸ ਕਣਕ ਵਰਗਾ ਹੋਵੇਂਗਾ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਵਾਢੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਤੀਕ ਉਗਦੀ ਹੈ। ਤੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਪ੍ਰਪੱਕ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗੀ ਉਮਰ ਤੀਕ ਜੀਵੇਂਗਾ।

ਵਿਰਸੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਮੱਸਿਆਵਾਂ ਇਸਹਾਕ ਬਿਰਧ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ ਹੋ ਗਈ। ਇੱਕ ਦਿਨ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਏਸਾਓ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੋਲ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ। ਇਸਹਾਕ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਪੁੱਤਰ!” ਏਸਾਓ ਨੇ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ “ਹਾਂ ਜੀ ਮੈਂ ਇੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਹਾਂ।”
Genesis 25:17

ਤੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਭੋਜਨ ਲਈ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਕਰਨੀ ਪਵੇਗੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੀਕ ਕਿ ਤੇਰਾ ਚਿਹਰਾ ਮੁੜਕੇ ਨਾਲ ਭਿੱਜ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਂਦਾ। ਤੈਨੂੰ ਮਰਨ ਤੀਕ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਕਰਨੀ ਪਵੇਗੀ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਤੂੰ ਖਾਕ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਖਾਕ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਜਿਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਮਰਕੇ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਤੋਂ ਤੂੰ ਖਾਕ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।”
