Genesis 33:18
ਯਾਕੂਬ ਨੇ ਪਦਮ ਅਰਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਸਫ਼ਰ ਸਫ਼ਲਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਪੂਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਕਨਾਨ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਸ਼ਕਮ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਗਿਆ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਇੱਕ ਮੈਦਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣਾ ਡੇਰਾ ਲਾ ਲਿਆ।

ਯੂਹੰਨਾ ਵੀ ਏਨੋਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਪਤਿਸਮਾ ਦੇ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ। ਏਨੋਨ ਸਾਲਿਮ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਹੈ। ਯੂਹੰਨਾ ਉੱਥੇ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਬਪਤਿਸਮਾ ਦੇ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉੱਥੇ ਅਥਾਹ ਪਾਣੀ ਸੀ। ਲੋਕ ਉੱਥੇ ਬਪਤਿਸਮਾ ਲੈਣ ਲਈ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ।
Genesis 46:15
ਰਊਬੇਨ, ਸਿਮਓਨ, ਲੇਵੀ, ਯਹੂਦਾਹ, ਯਿੱਸਾਕਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਜ਼ਬੁਲੂਨ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਦੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਲੇਆਹ ਤੋਂ, ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਨ। ਲੇਆਹ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਦਨ ਅਰਾਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਨਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ। ਉਸਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਧੀ ਸੀ ਜਿਸਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਦੀਨਾਹ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ 33 ਸਦੱਸ ਸਨ।

ਯਾਕੂਬ ਦਾ ਨਵਾਂ ਨਾਮ ਜਦੋਂ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਪਦਨ ਆਰਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਵਾਪਸ ਆਇਆ ਤਾਂ ਇੱਕ ਵਾਰ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਿਖਾਈ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਨੂੰ ਅਸੀਸ ਦਿੱਤੀ।
Genesis 28:6
ਏਸਾਓ ਨੂੰ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੇ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਨੂੰ ਅਸੀਸ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ। ਅਤੇ ਏਸਾਓ ਨੂੰ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਸਹਾਕ ਨੇ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਨੂੰ ਵਹੁਟੀ ਲੱਭਣ ਲਈ ਪਦਨ ਅਰਾਮ ਭੇਜ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਏਸਾਓ ਨੂੰ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਸਹਾਕ ਨੇ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਨੂੰ ਆਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਕਾਨਾਨੀ ਔਰਤ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ਾਦੀ ਨਾ ਕਰੇ।
Genesis 28:2
ਇਸ ਲਈ ਇਹ ਥਾਂ ਛੱਡਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਪਦਨ ਅਰਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਚੱਲਿਆ ਜਾਹ। ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਨੇ ਬਥੂਏਲ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਚੱਲਿਆ ਜਾਹ। ਉੱਥੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਮਾਮਾ ਲਾਬਾਨ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸਦੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਇੱਕ ਧੀ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਆਹ ਕਰਵਾ ਲੈ।
