Genesis 22 - YLT (Punjabi)

1 And it cometh to pass after these things that God hath tried Abraham, and saith unto him, `Abraham;' and he saith, `Here `am' I.'ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ, ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਘਟਾਨਾਵਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਮਗਰੋਂ, ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਪਰੱਖਣ ਦਾ ਨਿਆਂ ਕੀਤਾ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ!” ਅਤੇ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਹਾਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ!”

2 And He saith, `Take, I pray thee, thy son, thine only one, whom thou hast loved, even Isaac, and go for thyself unto the land of Moriah, and cause him to ascend there for a burnt-offering on one of the mountains of which I speak unto thee.'ਫ਼ੇਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਮੋਰੀਆਹ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਲੈ ਜਾ। ਮੋਰੀਆਹ ਉੱਤੇ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਬਲੀ ਚੜ੍ਹਾ। ਇਹ ਤੇਰਾ ਇੱਕ ਲੌਤਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਇਸਹਾਕ ਹੀ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ-ਉਹ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ। ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਥੋਂ ਦੇ ਪਹਾੜਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਇੱਕ ਉੱਤੇ ਹੋਮ ਦੀ ਭੇਟ ਵਜੋਂ ਵਰਤ। ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਾਂਗਾ ਕਿਹੜੇ ਪਰਬਤ ਉੱਤੇ।”

3 And Abraham riseth early in the morning, and saddleth his ass, and taketh two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son, and he cleaveth the wood of the burnt-offering, and riseth and goeth unto the place of which God hath spoken to him.ਸਵੇਰੇ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਉੱਠਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਖੋਤੇ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਠੀ ਪਾਈ। ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੇ ਇਸਹਾਕ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੋ ਨੌਕਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਲ ਲੈ ਲਿਆ। ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੇ ਬਲੀ ਲਈ ਲੱਕੜ ਕੱਟੀ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਥਾਂ ਚੱਲੇ ਗਏ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਜਾਣ ਬਾਰੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ।

4 On the third day -- Abraham lifteth up his eyes, and seeth the place from afar;ਤਿੰਨ ਦਿਨ ਸਫ਼ਰ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਮਗਰੋਂ, ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੇ ਉੱਪਰ ਵੱਲ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਕੁਝ ਦੂਰੀ ਤੇ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਥਾਂ ਦੇਖੀ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਹ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ।

5 and Abraham saith unto his young men, `Remain by yourselves here with the ass, and I and the youth go yonder and worship, and turn back unto you.'ਫ਼ੇਰ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਨੌਕਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਖੋਤੇ ਨਾਲ ਇੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਠਹਿਰੋ। ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਲ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਵਾਲੀ ਥਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਜਾਵਾਂਗਾ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਅਸੀਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਵਾਪਸ ਆ ਜਾਵਾਂਗੇ।”

6 And Abraham taketh the wood of the burnt-offering, and placeth on Isaac his son, and he taketh in his hand the fire, and the knife; and they go on both of them together.ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੇ ਬਲੀ ਲਈ ਲੱਕੜਾਂ ਲਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਇਸਹਾਕ ਉੱਤੇ ਰੱਖ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ। ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੇ ਖੁਦ ਅੱਗ ਅਤੇ ਚਾਕੂ ਨੂੰ ਚੁੱਕਿਆ। ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਤੁਰ ਪਏ।

7 And Isaac speaketh unto Abraham his father, and saith, `My father,' and he saith, `Here `am' I, my son.' And he saith, `Lo, the fire and the wood, and where the lamb for a burnt-offering?'ਇਸਹਾਕ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਪਿਤਾ ਜੀ!” ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੇ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ, “ਹਾਂ ਪੁੱਤਰ।” ਇਸਹਾਕ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਨੂੰ ਲੱਕੜਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਅੱਗ ਤਾਂ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਉਹ ਲੇਲਾ ਕਿੱਥੇ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਅਸੀਂ ਬਲੀ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਵਾਂਗੇ?”

8 and Abraham saith, `God doth provide for Himself the lamb for a burnt-offering, my son;' and they go on both of them together.ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੇ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ, “ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਖੁਦ ਹੀ ਬਲੀ ਲਈ ਲੇਲਾ ਭੇਜ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਮੇਰੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ।” ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਉਸ ਥਾਂ ਚੱਲੇ ਗਏ।

9 And they come in unto the place of which God hath spoken to him, and there Abraham buildeth the altar, and arrangeth the wood, and bindeth Isaac his son, and placeth him upon the altar above the wood;ਉਹ ਉਸ ਥਾਂ ਗਏ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ। ਉੱਥੇ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੇ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਉਸਾਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਲੱਕੜਾਂ ਰੱਖ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਇਸਹਾਕ ਨੂੰ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੇ ਇਸਹਾਕ ਨੂੰ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਲੱਕੜਾਂ ਉੱਪਰ ਰੱਖ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

10 and Abraham putteth forth his hand, and taketh the knife -- to slaughter his son.ਫ਼ੇਰ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਛੁਰੀ ਕੱਢ ਲਈ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।

11 And the messenger of Jehovah calleth unto him from the heavens, and saith, `Abraham, Abraham;' and he saith, `Here `am' I;'ਪਰ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਦੂਤ ਨੇ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕ ਲਿਆ। ਦੂਤ ਨੇ ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ, ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ!” ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੇ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ, “ਹਾਂ ਜੀ।”

12 and He saith, `Put not forth thine hand unto the youth, nor do anything to him, for now I have known that thou art fearing God, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only one, from Me.'ਦੂਤ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਮਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਨਾ ਪਹੁੰਚਾ। ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਦੇਖ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਆਦਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਮੰਨਦਾ ਹੈਂ। ਮੈਂ ਦੇਖ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਆਪਣੇ ਇੱਕੋ-ਇੱਕ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦੀ ਬਲੀ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਹੈਂ।”

13 And Abraham lifteth up his eyes, and looketh, and lo, a ram behind, seized in a thicket by its horns; and Abraham goeth, and taketh the ram, and causeth it to ascend for a burnt-offering instead of his son;ਫ਼ੇਰ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਭੇਡੂ ਦੇਖਿਆ। ਭੇਡੂ ਦੇ ਸਿੰਗ ਝਾੜੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਫ਼ਸੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਭੇਡੂ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦੀ ਬਜਾਇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਬਲੀ ਵਜੋਂ ਚੜ੍ਹਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

14 and Abraham calleth the name of that place `Jehovah-Jireh,' because it is said this day in the mount, `Jehovah doth provide.'ਇਸ ਲਈ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਥਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ, “ਯਾਹਵੇਹ ਯਿਰਹ।” ਅੱਜ ਵੀ ਲੋਕ ਆਖਦੇ ਹਨ, “ਇਸ ਪਰਬਤ ਉੱਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਦੀਦਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ।”

15 And the messenger of Jehovah calleth unto Abraham a second time from the heavens,ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਦੂਤ ਨੇ ਦੂਸਰੀ ਵਾਰ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਆਕਾਸ਼ੋਂ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਦਿੱਤੀ।

16 and saith, `By Myself I have sworn -- the affirmation of Jehovah -- that because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only one --ਦੂਤ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੀ ਖਾਤਿਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦੀ ਬਲੀ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਤੇਰਾ ਇੱਕਲੌਤਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੀ। ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੀ ਖਾਤਿਰ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕੀਤਾ, ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਬਚਨ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ: ਮੈਂ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ

17 that blessing I bless thee, and multiplying I multiply thy seed as stars of the heavens, and as sand which `is' on the sea-shore; and thy seed doth possess the gate of his enemies;ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਅਸੀਸ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਉੱਤਰਾਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ, ਜਿੰਨੇ ਕਿ ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਾਰੇ ਹਨ। ਇੱਥੇ ਇੰਨੇ ਲੋਕ ਹੋਣਗੇ ਜਿੰਨੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰੀ ਕੰਢੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਰੇਤ ਦੇ ਕਣ ਹਨ। ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿਣਗੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣਾ ਤੋਂ ਜਿੱਤਣਗੇ।

18 and blessed themselves in thy seed have all nations of the earth, because that thou hast hearkened to My voice.'ਧਰਤੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਉੱਤਰਾਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਕਾਰਣ ਅਸੀਸਮਈ ਹੋਣਗੀਆਂ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਆਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਨਿਆ।”

19 And Abraham turneth back unto his young men, and they rise and go together unto Beer-Sheba; and Abraham dwelleth in Beer-Sheba.ਫ਼ੇਰ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਆਪਣੇ ਨੌਕਰਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਵਾਪਸ ਚੱਲਾ ਗਿਆ। ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਬਏਰਸਬਾ ਵਾਪਸ ਪਰਤ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਉੱਥੇ ਠਹਿਰ ਗਿਆ।

20 And it cometh to pass after these things that it is declared to Abraham, saying, `Lo, Milcah hath borne, even she, sons to Nahor thy brother:ਇਹ ਸਭ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਵਾਪਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਦ, ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਗਿਆ। ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਖਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ, “ਤੇਰੇ ਭਰਾ ਨਾਹੋਰ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਮਿਲਕਾਹ ਦੇ ਹੁਣ ਬੱਚੇ ਹਨ।

21 Huz his first-born, and Buz his brother; and Kemuel father of Aram,ਪਹਿਲੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਊਸ ਹੈ। ਦੂਸਰੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਬੂਜ਼ ਹੈ। ਤੀਸਰਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਰਾਮ ਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ, ਕਮੂਏਲ ਹੈ।

22 and Chesed, and Hazo, and Pildash, and Jidlaph, and Bethuel;ਫ਼ੇਰ ਕਸਦ, ਹਜ਼ੋ, ਪਿਲਦਾਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਯਿਦਲਾਫ਼ ਬਥੂਏਲ ਹਨ।”

23 and Bethuel hath begotten Rebekah;' these eight hath Milcah borne to Nahor, Abraham's brother;ਬਥੂਏਲ ਰਿਬਕਾਹ ਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਸੀ। ਮਿਲਕਾਹ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਅੱਠਾਂ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਾਂ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਹੋਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਸੀ। ਨਾਹੋਰ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਦਾ ਭਰਾ ਸੀ।

24 and his concubine, whose name `is' Reumah, she also hath borne Tebah, and Gaham, and Tahash, and Maachah.ਨਾਹੋਰ ਦੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਦਾਸੀ ਰੂਮਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਵੀ ਚਾਰ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਨ। ਇਹ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਨ, ਤਬਹ, ਗਹਮ, ਤਹਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਕਾਹ।
